Thanks James for your thoughtful and helpful review. Katz's is one of my favorite restaurants and I'm really happy you brought us back there. Hats off and best wishes, Rich
Would love to see you do an overall review/ vid covering all the paces in nyc you have been, and your recommendations. So that we can compare the different places you have been to. As always great vid
Katz's is a place I've been to before and will go again when I visit NYC. Its good value which your channel is about. Congratulations on getting sponsor much deserved. BTW cool tee shirt
I like the rounds you make at classic/tourist spots that you say provide an experience often equal or greater to a Michelin starred restaurant...havent been to Katz's in ages, looking foward during off-peak times lol. Great job as always 👌
Been to Katz's a couple of times now after multiple trips to NYC, and my go-to order is a half pastrami & half corned beef sandwich (on rye with mustard ofc). You get the best of both worlds - the salty corned beef cuts through the richness of the pastrami while the unctuous pastrami balances the saltiness of the corned beef. Highly recommend!
Hi James, Thank you for your review of Katz’s Delicatessen. You really captured the vibe of the place! Congratulations on getting your sponsors. Best Wishes, Peter

Awesome, James... Another excellent review! So I make my own corned beef, but prefer pastrami as well. Gotta have that bark! Now I'm indecisive about lunch today!
Just loved this review and you're right on-point. My friend and I used to get 1 Corned Beef sandwich and 1 Pastrami sandwich and share. We then agreed that we preferred the pastrami. Our current go-to is sharing 1 $29.90 Hot Pastrami sandwich and 1 $4.95 hot dog with mustard and sauerkraut for a total of $35, or $17.50 each. For what it's worth, Katz's has far and away the best hot dog in NYC.

Dr. Brown Black Cherry or their Cel-Rey soda is classic here in NYC. Been years since I’ve been to Katz’s. Love the sour pickles. The cucumber not so much unless it is in a salad. 😆 glad you enjoyed it.

Hi James. Don’t lose the ticket. 😂 You nailed it. I agree the pastrami has so much flavor in the bark and holds up better as a sandwich. You can order the sandwiches with Italian bread and rolls. I usually order the pastrami here with the rye, but occasionally the corned beef Reuben, served on Italian bread. It holds together much better. Great summary of the differences between cuts of meat. I'm more of a pastrami fan myself. I think the main draw for corned beef is the higher fat content and salt. Congrats on your new sponsor!
