This actually is one of the happiest endings in the entire Nier/Drakengard series. They used the whole medium of transient mobile games and repeating cycles to put a wonderful bow on the universe. Really, I can't think of any other way this could go constructively.
Actually insane how this really felt like a series grand finale kind of thing. Like, yea, I don't mind if there's not any other Nier game coming (maybe a half remake of Drakengard 1)
@@saihaet I'd really like (ideally) a part remake of Drakengard with some of the censored stuff incorporated, a remaster of Drakengard 3, and a top-down remake of Drakengard 2 to bring it more in line with the series as a whole. Or, shock horror, a Drakengard 4.
The androids and machines reawakening at the end reminds me of ending E of nier automata. Makes me wonder if they're just gonna start fighting again or possibly live in harmony
Or start the anime timeline [ yes I know that's unhinged] xD

He wrote a happy ending in Automata too. In fact, he seemed genuinely annoyed people didn’t take it as such and said it made him question his ability as a writer.
Well, Id say humanity is still extinct even if Fio reincarnated as the very last human. Its very Yoko Taro for em to do this. The last living human being an innocent little girl who only wants to make friends, the best of human nature.
@@abdieljove2011 Probably because people were so used to his other stories they just expected the ending to mean 'peace in death' for all of them rather than the hope they'll truly be restored one day.
And then he went and trolled everyone in the stage play for it. King shit.
It's been 3 years and this is the game finale of Nier Reincarnation.
I don't know if Yoko will have some cryptic hidden messages or surprises coming up before the EoS hits in April that could lead to a new Nier game.
As of now there doesn't seem any other than the final Remnant Text and Fio's change of Bio at the ending that are findable in the game.
I expect him to do some kind of live stream before EoS hits for a finale, just like they did with Dissidia Omnia that recently shutdown.
There is that brief moment where they show dead Yorha and Machine Lifeforms reviving alongside the two.
We getting a new nier with this one 🗣️🔥
I wouldn't be surprised if Mama transferring the main story to the other Mama gives them an in-universe excuse to post all the main story scenes to TH-cam or something after EoS lol
I hope Accord and Mama would eventually meet in the future, if possible.
they already meet, Accord told her of different timelines and ask her if she could use the cage as an extra data backup

The realisation Drakengard, NieR and its multitudes of side media were building to this moment hit me like a truck. After so many years, just over two decades of seeing all these individual stories and the lessons one can learn from them, the sacrifices of Caim and Angelus, alongside those who followed them and took up the fight for the future means something. It wasn’t for nothing or to further the bootstrap paradox unto eternity, it was a chain of events leading to the breaking of the curse.
And it ends how it first started with Ending A all those years ago: two onlookers amidst the broken ruins, with the survivors looking up at a blue sky.
But no more do we grieve with the knowledge we have lost everything only to perpetuate the cycle, we look up with hope, having finally saved everyone, and to a future brimming with possibilities.

The last entry is indicated there: a report from (unknown) to Pod 042 from the Automata. It is noted in the text that the unknown (possibly Pod) speaks differently (possibly advanced as a person) but this is a secret. That the heroes of the cell need to rest and perhaps they will be needed in the future.
And at the end of the report, the narrator thanks Pod 042 for the courage that he gives him,
and which he needs again.

@@cristianoliver4447 explanation that Levania was a singularity (per DoD3 singularity is a person who managed to cause divergent timeline), and Levania is the one who broke the cycle, allowing Her and Fio to reincarnate and give us "good ending", while the Red Girl travels somewhere else.
So that explains how Kaine's actions lead to Nier 2 and the creation of the Red Girl.
Im pretty sure the original novella of the administrator is what leads to Automata. Replicant v1.22’s ending E leads to an alternate Automata branch that leads to Reincarnation, but thats just my interpretation.

@@gama103 Nah that sounds about right, it'd be very unlike Yoko Taro to completely retcon the novella's ending in favor of the new Replicant ending, lol. Makes a lot more sense to have them running parallel especially since the original administrator went through everything once before creating a female counterpart.

It's more likely the game was cancelled. It was making far, FAR from gangbusters cash.
I mean, the ending has some great ideas and is executed as best they could - but you can just TELL it's rushed. It was a slow burn for the entirety of Arcs 1 and 2, only immedtiately go from 0 to a 100 the moment the 3rd main arc started, and they started tossing in everything and the kitchen sink at breakneck pace.
The execs probably told them "Look it's not printing as much money as we hoped and it's declining, wrap it up. You have one more Arc, but make it quick, we wanna can it by the end of fiscal year in April."
Glad I played Replicant before this was released. It all makes so much sense now!

Yeah they revealed this before the final chapter during a livestream. Along with other things like origin of character names, who the first character made was(Argo), etc.
But now I’m more interested in Lars and Griff deal since they confirmed they had no plans on revealing anything during it, while they mentioned Noelle is the origin of Dragon Weapons used in the Kingdom of Night.
Does this mean caim can come back?
The original world is looping, the branches are made/discovered after by Him.
@@davidbird7328 he always could come back, because none of the branches locks anything in other branches. All endings are canon, they are paralell.
Wait...so the admins were in charge of just WATCHING the records of history and eventually one of them turned red and was fed up with Humanity to the point of deciding to destroy all human history.

No, the watchers are the giant babies. They're called "Angels" in the japanese version, and the one controling Manah is 'God'
She copied what they did since their recordings of history include recording the Watchers, Angelus, and the like.
The Watchers are from other world, I don't think Her can go back that far.
Considering the series takes place in a multiverse full of time paradoxes - everything is possible. I mean hey, magic invaded NieRverse from Drakenverse, but NieRverse seeded Drakenverse with magic in a the first place. With stuff like that in mind, I wouldn't blink at Watchers originating in some distant future of some universe on the NieR branch, only to invade Drakenverse's past and lead to their own creation lol.
@@stormwings3236 it is never explained from where Watchers originate tho. And considering that most likely Cathedral City, Magic and Dragons arrived to 856 and caused Europe turn to Midgard, because it was moved there from the year in which Accord was manufactured, it is a bootstrap paradox already. No point of origin of magic, and I assume the watchers, anymore.
I'd love it if we see Mama/006 again one day. She and 10H are both alive and well.

Because what I'm getting from the Cage's lore is that Nier Reincarnation pretty much fills in the blanks of what went down between the end of Nier Replicant and the start of Nier Automata.

@@Maya_Momo I found that to be a weird piece of information. Unless im missing something, the machine lifeforms were originally created by aliens that came to earth once humanity went extinct. So would that mean the alien homeworld looks like the structures seen here? Its not really fitting considering its aliens😂

I really hope there will be a way to play the game offline, be it like Kingdom hearts Union X/Darkroad or anything. Just a way to experiance the story as entended. it's not liek it's a random Gacha game that isn't side content only. It is part of the series and should never be lost.

So I got a big question, because I am very unsure if this is a major plot point or not, Levania's voice changed, is his voice relevant any previous characters..? I have to wonder because since it is in japanese, not sure if his true voice means something as a lore reveal, like he was actually the data of someone we know.
that's his voice from when he was human, he narrates his frozen heart and dark memory stories.

Im so happy Neir fans are final,y noticing this gem and that it aint just gacha for the money but the actually a neir game with legit good stuff (its seriously a gokd game that just happened to have gacha elements)
My only hope is that it’s added to steam later on without the micro transactions like what the did with Megaman Dive
i still won't forgive SE for making it a gatcha in the first place, that means less people playing or experiencing it (they shut down the SEA servers after a few months due to less profits i pressume), zero replayability (the service is dead), and its grindy as hell

Prices going up makes people less inclined to buy.
And I tried deleting and starting a new game over and over again for free rolls to try to get the Nier Automata… never got them so I gave up.

It's a Quantum server, just throw that word for anything magic you want to happen. Dió was reborn thanks to Magic/QuantumTech

It probably has something to do with Pact Magic, it's shown consistently in Drakengard games to perform miracles like reviving the dead.
@@LeoFalcon also I heard from a past video that even the yorha technology is intergraded with magic somehow. That’s why there weapon float behind them and how the weapon ps can change shape and how they create barriers etc.
@@newagehero9605Yes, remember that not just Draken, Nier universe has "maso" too. This particles are what allow magic stuff to happen (it's not so much that Automata and after are just advanced tech, they have magic too basically)

Its sad that this is a mobile game. One day when the servers shut down, all will be lost to oblivion.
Unless SE finds a way to turn this online game offline and expand it to other platforms.
