They even got the rhythm elements and all! I think NieR Reincarnation finally lines up to Drakengard and NieR's connections. The Cage must be a simulation by YorHa, and the Mourning Mother turned out to be that eltrich abomination from Drakengard 1's world and ending E.
This really needs a console release, I know!
From what I think I’m getting at here is that Nier Reincarnation takes place on the human server made by yorha on the moon. The server potentially acts as a data storage for humanity’s history before, during and after the drakenguard incident in tokyo. Somehow a sort of corruption or oddity happened on the server that led to the data being possibly destroyed and the queen beast replica to exist.
Honestly idk whats going on so I’m just speculating and assuming things.
This take could be in the right direction. 10H has a wiki page from Automata story, and I guess they are expanding it here in Reincarnation.
It should be explained in the next episode 2 months~.
The purpose of the records also have to do with Accord, as there are records from Drakengard's world: 063y, F66x, Saryu, Priyet, Marie, and Yurie. (There are more characters belonging there, but those are the most obvious)
Notably, Yuzuki and Hina aren't present in this chapter, and Mama claims she doesn't know what the Queen Beast is, despite those 2 being more directly related to it. Their statuses are as Husks are told in-game, but only in the character selection menu.
Interesting theory. It would be nice to have humans brought back somehow

Wow that is insane i got chills when everything comes together, even how 10H is found outside the moon server, picks up where they left off from the 10H novel where she escapes and sees she is on the moon, incredible.

There's no way they'd end the story on a Cliffhanger! They have to give us a preview of part 2, or at least a preview of Season 4. That, or at the very least, a new Nier game. And who knows? We might end up getting Drakengard 4.
This is not the true season finale ending, ending.
Its a mid seasonal ending cliffhanger, the game is sorta on it's last straws after the SEA shutdown, that i'm surprised they are stretching this season a bit longer.
Still expecting a EoS after the finale of this season.
So I guess the absolute being the carrier was talking about at the end of Season 1 and who Papa and Dark Mama were texting with at the end of Season 2 was the Watchers/Angels from Drakengard. They are also the ones who have been attacking The Cage this season. Do I have that right?
What exactly indicates those as the watchers?
@@bruhwereinacarexhaust Aren't those big statue things that you do rhythm games against related to them? I never actually played any Drakengard, just watched the story via this channel so I don't know that part of the universe that well.
@@TepidShark same haven't played the games but yes looks like it's referencing specifically ending E of Drakengard 1 and not Drakengard 3.

@@TepidSharkNot exactly. The big naked statues have a somewhat unclear backstory. We don't really know what they are. The Watchers are the flying babies from Drakengard, the Queen Beast is another entity. I personally think that these are just highly advanced machines and that the entire story of DrakeNier is just one big time loop. The Cathedral that appeared in Drakengard 1's world and brought magic with it hails from a future way after the events of both Automata and Reincarnation.
Apparently a Neir Automata sequel is coming, hopefully it will be a proper console game.

If you're referring to the recent interview, that was just then stating taro will make more nier content in general so long as he's alive, that doesn't necessarily confirm an automata sequel, unless there's another article I missed

It’s the moon server talked about in NieR Automata. And I’m pretty sure the reason we have all this data is because of one android: Accord.
In case you don’t know, Accord was a charcter introduced in Drakengard 3 and she monitors the different branches in time, interfering in the final route to ensure the best possible outcome happens where it’s revealed she is an android.
She was also mentioned later in NieR Automata as being the only who generally sends supplies to the resistance camp from the Kingdom of Night and during one of the loading screens in NieR Replicant, she’s mentioned in Yona’s journal as being a traveling merchant with a bunch of stuff.

I'm gonna watch this all eventually but can someone give me a short synopsis of what happens up to this point in Season 3?
My game data got erased when switching to a new phone over a year ago and I'm too lazy to start over lol
Nothing much really in this season 3. All the story characters got scatterd in groups and mama helped them to get them back at this point.
Now the question is how will the story move on from this. Season is called people and the world.
It happened to me too, it issued a request to recover my acount and they worked it out.

Probably some corruptive mama design or something.
Yoko made it as a DG reference, I guess it will be explained in the next episode.
@@BuffMaisterI think we may even see more of them since there are other cursed gods and this one is the one associated with the Blackhorn Mourning weapon! We’d still have to face Hate, Atrocity, Loathing, Spite and Grudge (though idk if this one would be considered). It may not happen, but… maybe?

@@bruhwereinacarexhaust There's a few things that point to it. The DOD3 manga, The Nier 1.22 'E' ending, and the Project Gestalt Reports.
Basically; any Drakengard fan worth their salt knows Accord is an Android from the future who travels into the past looking for a way to stop the Intoners from turning into Queen Beasts, this includes putting a maso-charged lock on the monster that infects Zero with the Flower in her eye.
Thanks to the rules of Entropy, Accord can travel between the events of Drakengard 3 and 1, and Nier:Gestalt/Automata. As for how, she probably uses Maso to do it since it's been done before; first with the Intoners in DOD3, then with the Queen Beast in DOD1, and lastly the Celebrant Androids who are pregnant with Maso from the Nier Reports. There have been Androids powered by Maso like the Administrators.
Consider this, if Accord can manipulate entropy via being powered by maso; imagine what a Queen Beast can do when she's made of the stuff?

Accord has the ability to travel between different points in time, so it's logical to assume that the Queen Beasts can do it as well

If we are talking about the Drakengard/Nier series as a whole, what would your preference be?
I would like to see a remake of Drakengard 1 & 2, and maybe an advanged version of 3.
DG 1 should NOT get any censorship either.
This trilogy does deserve a remaster / remake at some point.
They could make a Drakengard 4, I prefer it to be a horror mind fk style like DG1 was and try to connect it to the series. DG 3 was fine, dropped to many Fk bombs and humorish killing scenes that it didn't feel as dark.
For Nier, idk, they didnt use numbers for this one.
Even tho I was more of a fan of the original Nier / Replican story than Automata.

Also, Yoko Taro wasn’t involved in the creation of Drakengard 2. So while yes, it is set in the universe he created and is a direct sequel, it’s not really a Yoko Taro game.
yes, especially considering how much content is actually out of the game. Route E can finally be adapted into the game and D3 can be a proper prequel to D1, include all DLCs. Also, because of all the retcons D3 presents, D1 needs to be remade as well as fix plotholes that were found in the original game
Taro just had to put all this shit in a gacha mobile game thats gonna be unplayable soon instead of just making a new actual game
