  • In this I share with you something painful that happened to me and why it’s important you know about it as a cat breeder especially if you own stud cats. I share what happened plus what you need to look out for if you do get bitten by a cat. Cat bites can be really, really bad and you have to take them seriously.
    Remember to subscribe for more great videos about cat breeding and shows. Feel free to comment as I love to get feedback.

    What about when you get scratched by desexed cats? My cats are very affectionate and will jump on my shoulder and sometimes accidently scratch and draw blood. (Sphynx)
    I guess they have been scratching me for years and I’m still ok! Lol

      Scratches can get infected, but they’re an open wound. cats have really thin teeth when they bite you it goes in and then seals up when it comes out. That’s why they get infected. Add to that that they have a lot of bacteria in their mouth. Then Cats have even more bacteria. So you need to be careful of being beaten, a deep penetrating wound. Superficial scratches rarely get infected.

    Well done to your kitty on the supreme ❤️ Hope you recover soon. I knew similar situation, of an oriental cat at a show that mauled a judge and they needed 9 stitches. Just happens sometimes! Always got to have it in the back of your mind for if you have a stud! ❤️

    Yess i know how it felt, it tooks me 2 months to fully recover after i got bitten. The swollen recover 3 days after i got the anti biotic and anti inflamation medicine, but probably my nerves or my muscle tissues had been damaged so bad or whatever. I cant moves my finger well for 1 month at that times.

    Always use metrodinazole along the amoxiciline or doxicicline for cat bites because there are bacterias that need to be under control and only metrodinazole will do

      Well really take the antibiotics your dr gives you is the best advice. I have cephalexin on hand to take straight away but then what a Dr will do is take blood and send off for a culture. Then if the usual antibiotics don’t work by then they will have the culture and know what to try instead. The main advice is to seek medical advice. 😀

    As a large scale breeder, you seem to have lots of bad things to say about studs. You shouldn’t have so many cats in the first place. Your studs need the most attention and training. When you put in the time like you would a child, they do not disappoint or cause you issues. Maybe you need to downsize. And yes, every cat has their innate nature which leads to my second point: you should not be breeding wayward cats. The whole point is to improve the breed at whatever costs. Even if it’s sterilization and selling the cat. Do not breed miserable studs or get out of the business

    • @CatBreedingforBeginners
      @CatBreedingforBeginners  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Lol. I got bitten at a cat show. By someone else’s stud. I used the experience to teach people how serious a cat bite is. I ended up in hospital for three days. So the title is factually correct. 😀. And as for the way I treat my cats I am very happy and confident with it and the judgement of a stranger means nothing to me 😀

      Lol you must have not listened to anything she said in the video just absolute ignorance on your part. Further how does her being bitten by someone else’s cat at a show have a reflection of her breeding program or cats?? Seems to me like you’re pissy because she’s a successful professional breeder. It also makes you seem stupid for trying to tell her how you should raise a cat the proper way even though she’s been raising cats for over 20 years. Just a nasty internet Karen. Pamala keep up the videos they are great to watch and have wonderful information I’m glad you don’t let the internet Karen’s get to you!

    You are dragging the story too long and making it look like cats are venomous. With due respect give us right information and quick one.

    This title is a bit sensational. Yes you need treatment for cat bites. Period.
