For best results, don’t forget to “ back butter” the tiles. That means adding the paste on the back of each tile too. Love the chairs! I look forward to watching what you do with them! ❤️🇨🇦

Now a new, well-insulated roof. Super efficient Class A windows and doors, a swimming pool, a bunch of kids running from one side to the other screaming, half a dozen dogs and cats. A flock of sheep and some dairy cows and "enjoying" those noble chairs on a porch on a summer evening with two good drinks in hand. Good idea? 😁

Actually, those tiles are so pretty they would not look at all bad throughout the whole place, easy to keep clean too. You did a great job laying the ones at the entryway, looks very professional.

Every time you guys zoom in on the house walls my wife and i are amazed by the granite the people were using "in the old days". And properly placed by hand, what an amazing job they did and what an effort to build like that. Just wauw. Also great job, tiling concerned, nice color and structure.

You made a good choice in using your leftover tiles. The tiles brings out the colors in your granite walls. The job looks splendid! Nice chairs! A drill, a wooden dowel and some glue fixes them right up! Scrub them down, shine them up and heirlooms with a story! The tiles look GREAT!

The tiles really made the barn feel like home. Those chairs will be beautiful in your home. Imagine sitting by the wood burner in those chairs. hot cocoa and thick socks. Awesome. Do you guys have a cement mixer? I love the color of the tiles. I am really happy for you both. Getting into your house will make you relax even more.

Great tiling. To fix the chair legs, consider drilling say 10mm hole 4cm long into the leg and then again up into the seat. Cut a length of threaded bolt to suit and use it to ‘pin’ them together, filling both holes with 2 part epoxy. That should make a strong joint.

The worn fabric adds charm and character, but it's not that difficult to recover if you have patience. I would just give it a good clean and maybe wax the wood once you repair the legs, use it for a while before you decide.❤

Aw, wow! What a cracking job! Dan I don't know how you have managed to get such perfect cuts on the tiles with a grinder! Laura, your tiling and grouting are better than many professionals. You are so patient grouting because most people hate it. I enjoyed the comical music, you both work well together as always. Really good progress. Hello friend's you're going to need to seal the blocks under the window with a waterproof sealer to prevent moisture coming through the blocks so when you paint it it won't bubble up and look ugly. 👍 You guy's are doing great keep up the good work enjoy watching your journey. For a small room you should have laid the tiles "meia esquadria" it helps to make the area look larger.

Made me smile to see how happy Laura was with her new chairs. They are really pretty, I love finding bargains like that. My whole house is decorated with bargain finds and a few antiques I've refinished. I love old stuff with a history behind them.

Baking soda and white vinegar is a good all-around cleanser and disinfectant... Luise of Solo 50 Plus steeps lemon and/orange peel in the solution and adds a drop of washing up liquid. Should work on your upholstery as well as a variety of surfaces. 🤞🏼😊

Great job on the tile landing. Both clean and functional. I assume you are planning to install weather stripping around the door and window gaps. Even if it’s temporary until you finish them it will make a huge difference. Best to you both.

God's peace Laura and Dan my sweet friends! I love how the barn home is coming along. When you finished the tiles I got a bit misty eyed. It is looking more and more like a home. The chairs are simply beautiful! I think keeping the fabric is a great idea. There is something about those chairs that reminds me of my home growing up. My Mother had beautiful furniture like those chairs. A touch of class, perhaps a little regal, comfortable, but able to stand the test of time. I am imagining you both sitting in those chairs enjoying your evening together reading a story to your little ones. I am happy you and the snake (eeek) are both ok. I always watch the videos twice. Once to watch it, second to listen and take it all in. You both do such lovely and amazing work. I love the smiles in your eyes and the truths you share.
