Love it that it can distinguish between humans and animals - I hadn't realised that the image recognition had got that good! 👌
Unless you have done the insulation on the door buy a tin of foam and gently spray a bit then flatten it as you go into all areas it will be better than polystyrene and give the door more 'noise' stability.

Just another small remark, know you lost your sawhorses in England, build a small movable bench, I have one, needs four 2x4 and one one 8 foot long 2x12 and the two pieces of hardware, check online, it works as a bench and also a scaffolding for working higher up, they are cheep and they work excellent

You don't absolutely need double glazing in Portugal, so I am just making my frames myself and putting single glazing in. If you do through bolted half lap joints, they are easy to maintain and repair. I was going to do steel frames and I may still do. If you want to weld without forking out for a welder just get two car batteries connected together to make 24 volts a pair of mole grips and a set of jump leads and off you go.

Hi 👋, Laura Dan , another great episode live in your dream, and dreams become reality, I’m not telling you what to do, but next time you fix some glass into a frame, you might find it better to put the silicon sealer or whatever you’re using, onto or into the frame first, then you’ll find it easier to place the glass in, and never put metal to glass contact, As you find, the metal will contract expand, and will probably end up breaking the glass, That is U-shaped rubber channel you can get which you can put round the edge of the glass, which will help you to mount secure, Which will help within any flexing or moving of the door, especially if the door slams, 😮,
Not sure how much room you have on the inside, it might be worth putting insulation in, then covering it with 18 or 24 mil ply, then put on a rustic timber cladding on the inside, yes it’s gonna make the door very thick and heavy,

Its something i will continue to monitor and if all fails can just fix and switch out the plane of glass only a 10 min job. As you know its about trial and error sometimes then learning. Hey guys, make sure you protect your lungs. Those grinders throw dust in the air for upwards of 5 hours, and you will be breathing that in. Even an n95 will reduce a lot of exposure to your lungs.

When working with power tools it is very dangerous to wear clothing with dangling laces. The machine could get caught in the laces and come back in your face. Take care! Grinders are particularly dangerous.
