What a treat to listen to Steve talk about football and to share his memories of Spurs. What he says about Home Grown players, what it means to know your club and what the fans want. Outstanding.
I am a 67 year old fanatical Spurs supporter now living in Australia and this has given me such great pleasure watching and listening to what Steve had to say and tell us. He is still my all time favourite Spurs player and I was delighted when I managed to get his autograph behind the goal at Birmingham City when Spurs were away back in very early 1970's. The first time I ever watched Spurs live was at Villa Park in 1964 with my Villa season ticket holding Grandparents and much to their displeasure I have been a Spurs fan ever since. My first time at our beloved White Hart Lane was 5th December 1970 and what a great game to witness. My wife and I were also at Stoke City for Glen Hoddles debut and saw his first ever goal there. Steve Perryman, you are a legend and with Bill Nicholson and Chris Bonnington you are in with the three hero's in my life. 'Audere Est facere' "Thank You"
I was born in 1950 so you can imagine I've seen a few Spurs greats . Greaves . Macay Smith .Blanchflower. White. Steve perryman was everything those players where and more . Loved watching him play. Mr Tottenham Hotspur.
Top top man, top player & a fantastic captain. Midfielder, Sweeper & Right back. Tottenham Hotspur's record appearance holder & so deserved. When Steve went up to lift the F A Cup I was there!
Thoroughly enjoyed listening to Steve, too young to appreciate him properly but with record appearances must be spurs legend.to the work out in Japan is just incredible, very humble, looking well for 70.great stuff
A one off mr consistency so versatile saw him when he first got in the spurs team at 17 a very good player I patted him on the back at WHL it was like hitting a brick wall a great loyal player for spurs enjoy your retirement and family Steve you deserve it
Hope I could one day meet Steve P. At the lane I am a few years older (2/3 yrs) than Steve but I do remember him as one of our youngest players. I am now in Florida where I live but hope to see him if possible.
