Hy its me again, I believe with all of my heart that our first year in this country on a farm laid the foundation of our lives as adults. My brother and his rowing team won Canada its first gold metal Canada ever won and went on to compete in five olimics in rowing. I owned my own business emplying 30 emplyees in software engineering. We owe our start here in Canada to that foster home in Fisherville. If you are not too far I would love to visit with my brother when he comes back to Ontario this summer. He lives in Whitehorse where his son is a policeman and his daughter teaches blind children with their families. So sorry I am going on and on. Cheers!!!!
This is so beautiful, I had to watch again a few times. Love how your dogs and cats must go check on and play with their friends each day! And how much you take care of and give them all attention. Fall is the best season, nature does fireworks so much better than humans. Thanks for sharing with us.

I love your farm and your kindness to your animals and your skills in building the animals homes with such dedication but there is only one small thing that makes me unhappy to see and that is the rabits sleeping in those plastic boxes. I would love to see an episode in you using your fantastic craftmanship buildin beautiful warm and cosy sleeping pads in wood and insulated for your beautiful rabits. It must be awfull to sleep in plastic and condensation. I am not critisizing you or throwing you under the bus. I really love what you do and love watching you using your wood building skills. I´m even so jelous of your life and the beauty that surrounds your farm. And say hi to your beautiful wife.
I appreciate the comment. I used the Rubbermaid tubs because rabbits chew the wood. They’ve even started to chew the small doors leading into the barn. They’re also chewing g the wood around the bottom of the rabbitat I may end up covering with metal. I’ll try drilling some holes to allow some air movement but rabbits don’t wanna be warm they wanna be cold. They will just get out of the wind by going inside. I could easily build them cute little houses, I just fear it’ll be a waste. They have straw inside and have had their babies inside too so the system is working. Any padding will get wet from their feet and cause mold that’s why we use straw. Heat can kill rabbits that’s why they go underground in nature but I’ve tried to give them a place as close to nature as I could. I’m always up for improvements though, I have an idea to give them some clover in there we’ll see how it goes 😊
Have you considered adding a small pond to your (extended) water fowl enclosure? To stop your water chores, diminish your cleaning chores, stop their competing for swimming space, and with the understanding that they can skate on it in the winter :) Normally, they poop in the water, you could harvest that water as nitrogen enriched water, for the garden, and replenish it from time to time (not daily, as you do now).
yes I'm planning on something, but not in the run though it'll be in the orchard where I free Range the ducks when it's not winter. It'll be right beside the garden too. Hope I can get it done this summer.

Right now, my two cats, Angelina Jolie and Sophia Loren are paying very close attention to the ducks "quack quack quack"😂😹. They are like waiting for the duckies to come thru the front door!🤣😹😂 Animals are so funny and your vlog is a here in the big city!!! I'm catching up Chad, still amazed and empowered by your amazing quest and watching your dream come true!! Oh if only you can see these two, 😂 hilarious 😂😆. Wow 😮 what an epic few days of filming especially showing the earth on fire 🔥 from above in spots. The animals and birds are living and loving a healthy, fulfilling and happy life due to your caring and conversation with them. And so is the garden with all the dead foliage, new earth and poop 💩! Even though Fozzy can’t crawl up your leg, he still rested his tail on your foot in the most loving way! This 🧄🧄 is going to be the best!
Thanks so much Leona, the vibrancy of the fall season was so incredible this year. No choice but to showcase it in an episode or two lol. This is the 2nd try for garlic, last years all died but I planted it in a raised bed...hopefully this year we're successful.
