Hey Karanvir, Kudos for this new venture! It would actually be very beneficial if you could invite Indian seafarers serving on Cruise ships (especially in the DECK department) and how the next gen seafarers could transition from cargo to cruise as it is a very niche industry for Indian Deck officers. Also, much thanks to Ivana for sharing great insights!
Take two. Very intelligent, driven woman. Your last guest you could see why he succeeded. And this lady was going places, full stop. She has found her home on the cruise ships, glad for her. I would fit into the other category you spoke of. Cargo doesn't talk. I prefer quiet. I hate being pampered, and not big on pandering to people. Don't like crowds. Detest parties. Would much prefer the isolated cargo life with just work and a small crew. I love travel. Like exploring new places. Wouldn't want to do container ships. Turn around too quick. Probably bulkers. Sounds like your ambition is to go Cruising. Good luck. Hope it works out for you.
Amazing podcast 👏❤️! Your exceptional journey to the present stage is incredible! More power to you Capt Ivana Ma’am! You are an inspiration to all the young cadets especially girls! Thanks my rockstar to get her on board! Stay safe stay blessed! 👦🏼🙏⚓️❤️❤️❤️
Very inspiring journey and it's very nice to know that ma'am is learning Marathi language ... she has seen it all one can say 😃 Also congratulations to you @karanvirSinghNayyar on this new journey ...just waiting to learn new stuff from you 👍
Nice move on your part to bring Ivana on your podcast. Her determination to serve on merchant ships even though living in a 'landlocked' country is highly appreciable. Personally, I found her service on the 'tall ships' simply remarkable ! Understandably, the glamour of cruise ships does beckon deck officers from India. A few Indian marine engineers and ETOs have managed to get a foothold in top companies like Caribbean and Carnival. I once had the opportunity to have a long chat with an ex-Master (a Greek national) of a Caribbean Cruise line vessel. He did tell me that the preference for deck officers are for those from Scandinavia, the Baltic States, Italy, UK and USA. An Indian Uber driver, who had served as a Room Steward, on a Princess Line cruise liner also told me the same thing. Let's face it, the preference is more for Caucasian deck officers and not Asians !
I am preparing for jee , but I want to join merchant Navy , coz I'm not interested in engineering, ( I am preparing for jee , because of my personal issues ), I just want to know , if I got a sponsorship for dns , then is there any chance of getting unemployed after completing my first contract ? , basically what I want to ask is that after a contract is it very hard to find another ship again ? Btw great interview bhaiya , keep it up 👏🏼

It seems that the host of this TH-cam channel may no longer be going to sea and is adapting his content to a land-based existence. I found his on-ship experiences to be of interest, this new direction not so much. I wish him well if he's changed direction for his life but content like this may result in a smaller audience.
