That’s impressive -3 months and the car starts first time. My partners car wouldn’t start after 2 weeks on holiday last year. Glad you both made it back safely! ❤

that squiking sound is not the tire it is the drive belt on the betwin motor and transmition it happen to mine to after a while standing ^^
it is a bit anoing but it will go away or you can spray v-belt spray on it. it will protect the belt of wear a bit longer and get rid of the squiking ^^

Coincidentally, within the next couple of days its battery-in and first start-up for my 20 year old skoda wagon after 2.5 months of it standing idle in the carpark. Usually, taking the battery out generates a shed load of false error messages in the Engine Management Unit which then have to be cancelled on a connected laptop. Fingers crossed .
I've installed one of those battery isolator switches on the negative terminal in the hope it will stop the alarm and other components draIning the battery when the cars stood down for long periods.

Get a nice merino wool cap. The type that nice the Edge lad from U2 wears. You can both acknowledge each other and your similar merino wool caps when you pass each other in Saint Tropez next summer.

Enough air in the tires? Did you get a bicycle pump like I told you to? It's great exercise! Oh, Mr. Boo doesn't need any more exercise. He's already doing all the heavy lifting.
I was only saying yesterday we need to get on line and order one. No more queuing in the Petrol station!
@@MeandMonAmi Be sure to get one that fits "Schraeder" valves. There are some that only fit strange bicycle tube valves. Some pumps have an adapter so you can use it with any kind of valve.
This is just a suggestion I have fitted this type of setup on my van and leisure battery. The Battery Monitor BM2, this will show you the level of charge via an app on your smart phone. Also you can get one of the two following leads depending on your battery charger, Oximiser & Maximiser OF703 battery lead, or a YETOR SAE to O Ring Terminal Harness, with 15A Protection Fuse. If your charger docent have Maintain Mode you may have to get a new battery charger. The items can be obtained from Amazon. Looking at the photo you took when you first mention the 12volt going dead. it looked like there was some paint marking on the connection so for warranty reasons you may have to Citron to fit the items.

Seems you are correct about 50% for storage with lithium batteries, and between 30% to 80% operational charge level for optimum battery life.
Drained from the jet lag(12 hour sleep last night!) but very fired up about new content

Well as long as there is sufficient voltage, then an electric vehicle will move. It doesn’t ‘start’ as there’s nothing to start 😂 it’s more the damage to the battery that’s the problem if it’s been left to discharge. For example a combustion engine 12v battery can be left on a trickle charge for as long as you want. Because of CPU smart chargers they monitor each cell and apply voltage as and when needed. So there’s no continuous overcharge. Elton will have a BMS but whether it could be left charging from a wall socket indefinitely you would be best to ask Citroen.
Hi Glen, You can’t turn on or start an Ami if the 12v battery is flat as theres no way of powering up the dashboard. We left the main battery at circa 50% and it remained there which was good I think

Of course, the ‘auxiliary battery’ so you *can* put it on a smart charger that I mentioned and leave it 24/7. Thanks for correcting me. That’s a good idea then to do the above! Then you don’t need to worry at all. Search ‘smart charger’

The 12v electric tyre pump is called Fortem (the extra mile). I ordered it through Amazon after doing lots of research. It’s turned out to be very good. German company but am sure it’s made in ‘you know where’ like everything else 🙄
The upside of these gizmos is not having to hang around at a garage behind some dithering twerp, as you’ve experienced too.
