I honestly don't understand why people invest so much money in cards and decks with expiration dates when the prizes Konami gives don't even make you recover your investment. Until Konami starts changing the way they do TCG rarity spreads, I've straight up just moved over to Edison because the only card that exists past $10 for any of it's lowest rarity accessible printings is Phoenixian Cluster Amaryllis LMAO. Real talk tho, after Elestrals is available on TCGPlayer I'm probably moving over to that game. Yugioh is just not sustainable as a game I can play as someone who only works part time due to college.

Don't be angry at just the price, this card is going to ruin the game in general! look at how angry people are at maxx c in master duel, where you don't have to pay exorbitant prices for your cards. This card should've never been printed in the first place no matter what the price is, it's simply not good for the health of the game.
Maxx c is much more powerful as it can effectively be used when you have built a board, creating unwinnable gamestates. Fuwaross returns cards in the end phase so fair decks that end on 1 monster after 5-6 summons have a chance as fuwaloss returns resources randomly into the deck. Moreover, it cannot do the most unfair thing maxx c does.

I've stopped buying poor quality product. Rarity Collections were fine (2 worked out for me, I didn't have most of the cards since I was returning to the game). Other than that, I just buy Structure Decks (already have most of them) and singles for old decks I like.
What upsets me here is that they printed what is functionally just maxx c when you think about just how many extra deck cards require to cycle through for most decks to make even their mediocre endboards. Seriously just think about a fuwaross that successfully resolves on a deck that needs the extra just to do most of its basic plays: Often this just leads to (1) turbo a game-winning floodgate to deny the opponent from using the card advantage in the first place, or (2) pass on nothing or a really bad half-board and pray the opponent isnt compotent enough or has bricked and they wont otk. Secret rare staples have always been around since the beginning of the tcg and i doubt konami will ever change that, but what urks me here is this being a complete auto ban card that the tcg playerbase isnt mentally prepared to play with including near universal hatred of maxx c even in MD being a secret rare is going to what I feel personally is going to break the straw on the camels back on a lot of people. And i'm most likely going to quit as advance format post rota. If it were a common or super at least i could bear in mind that a card like this could be banned right around the corner, but being a secret indicates that it wont disappear any time soon. Until the day its banned, im playing alt formats or quitting
Fuwalos isn't Maxx C and can dodged by playing a going second deck like Tenpai or a deck like Centur-Ion that instead of Special Summoning from Deck places from the Deck and does its Special Summoning from the Extra largely on the opponent's turn. Even Snake-Eyes do that to an extent too. I'm sure we will see more of those sorts of Decks or engines like Horus that find ways to get cards from the Deck to another location and then Special Summon them rather than Special Summoning directly from the Deck. Then there are Trap-heavy decks like Paleo, Geists, Eldlich, Lab, and the coming ARG☆S deck to which Fuwalos doesn't matter much at all. I don't have a huge issue with Decks that were hyper-reliant on multiple turn 1 Summons from the Deck/Extra Deck to make nigh-unbreakable boards being punished for it, even Maxx "C" has its merits for curbing the extent to which that happened but a major fault of Maxx "C" was that it could be used on top of an established board, that's not the case with Fulwalos.

No since you gotta pull the 1/10 for secrets in a box. Secrets can either be 1 or 2 per box. So the only secret that cost more than the box is the Mulcharmy Fuwarlos. It's a really bad gamble to buy one expecting to make more money
I do think cards like Fuwaross should have a big downside to using them. Give me a card that banishes my opponent's hand if they have 8 or more cards so that they get the fear of god instilled in them. Anyway, I dropped the game, and life's looking good.

The company has more incentivized not using proxies, by way or forcing player count and sign ups and more prizing. So it's totally on a whim if your locals will allow it.

Now yes it is true that you can make meta calls and pick the right deck and strategy ( hand traps vs board breakers/ going 1st vs 2nd) but you have to study and figure that out and hope it's on par with whatever is current. That being said, Konami designs meta cards to BE META. we all know this is Maxx c replacement. THE CORNERSTONE of the OCG and Master Duel. It's not as simple as play around it or find alternatives, at least at the moment. It's a busted card, that is meant you be fluid for nearly every deck. So if you have options and opinions, please give them.
