    The fact that there’re so many English journaling bible is astonishing! We don’t even have one for the Chinese translation. I’ve even written to Chinese bible publishers proposing one, but the reply was that it’s too expensive to print… 😢

      @@Blushingwithbeauty1 Thanks. We do have a variety of Chinese translated bibles, it’s the journaling bibles in Chinese that we don’t have. I’ve even written to the Chinese Bibles publishers about it, but they replied the printing costs is to high so they wouldn’t consider it.

      That is so sad! If you can find one with thick pages, perhaps that can help you create your own. Use tip-ins for extra space, maybe find one with single-column and use it. Finally, you can try and publish your own. Honestly, maybe the Lord is calling you to be the one to make it happen. Best wishes for your journey!

    I had the illustrating Bible (last one in review) in my shopping card. I LOVE the spiral bound and all the room. Problem for me was the small font, also I love adding tip in’s . Assuming tip ins are harder with spiral bound. I ended up getting the NIV Beautiful word Colouring bible. I like it however there is not writing space. My perfect bible would be spiral bound with 12 pt fond size and NASB with 4 “ margins and red lettering. Not picky 😂😂

    Thanks so much. I have started using my NKJV JOURNALS for each book. They now come in almost all translations at this point. Font is nice and big, and they are interleaved with thicker paper. Enough space for notes and art. I like to do light watercolor, and watercolor pencils. Also love soft pastels and pastel pencils. Still working out the best way to seal soft pastels. I’ve heard of using Spectra Fix, in a very fine mister bottle. Any suggestions welcome! God bless!

    I like My Creative Bible. At the time I bought it, I wanted a coloring/journaling bible in the KJV translation because the poetic flavor of the language along with the art just appealed to me. I also liked the bright pink cover with the roses painted along the pages. :) I don't have any of the other bibles for comparison, so I couldn't say if it's better or worse than any of those.

    • @rebekahrjones
      @rebekahrjones  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven’t seen any Bibles with the HCSB which have journaling space that would make it to a list of favorites for most people based on publisher layouts and features. As far as how the translation stacks up in the spectrum of translations, I have a great page on my Journaling Bible Guide which talks about translations and it explains how all the main translations fit into the spectrum of ways they are written. HCSB is in there and may be helpful to you. rebekahrjones.com/journaling-bible-guide/understand-bible-translations/

    In English, I have a KJV My Creative Bible, an ESV Interleaved Bible and a CSB She Reads Truth Bible. The one I used the most was the My Creative Bible, because I bought it first and went wild with tip-ins and mixed media. My Interleaved has become some sort of a commonplace book, slowly collecting quotes for a lifetime. I haven't started working on the She Reads Truth Bible, it is soooo beautiful I'm afraid to ruin it. Which is nonsense, of course. 🙂 I could never ruin the ethernal Word of God.
    In Portuguese, I have a NAA Verdadeira Identidade, a NVT para Anotações e Esboços and a huge ACF Margens Grandes. I love them all. My current everyday carry is NVT. Cute enough, portable enough, single column, readable print and good plain margins for notes. I used Verdadeira Identidade for about two years before that and it served me well, but now the gospels are too crowded with highlights for new notes, so I switched to NVT para Anotações e Esboços. Still trying to figure out how I wanna use the ACF Margens Grandes, it is simply too immense to carry around.

      But what if God LOVES it? What if God loves His children spending time drawing their thoughts about what they read? What if God's Spirit is talking to you as you read, and you have a space to write what He said? A place to record your question WITH the verse? What if that was His reason for getting His word off scrolls, out of the church, and into the hands of each member--so you can have conversations and not just read words? The ideal Bible for me would be loose-leaf so I could add note pages when and where I needed them. I like keeping my notes WITH my Bible wherever I am, and carrying separate journals keeps me hauling a backpack. I take notes on every sermon, and that is enough extra!
      Journaling keeps me connected to and IN my Bible.

If she's not Catholic it wouldn't be right for her to review and have an opinion on a Bible she doesn't even follow/believe in it wouldn't be right! @@misst1305 The "added" books are known as the 7 Deuterocanonical Books, which incidentally, were not added but rather deleted. They are also referenced in the "normal Protestant" Bible. There are over 40,000 "denominations." If they all agreed on everything in the Bible so they can ostensibly all use the same Journaling Bible, why 40,000 groups? Do you know anything re the content of *whispered* The Apocryphal Books? I'm guessing just some cherry picked items covered in poison ivy by some overzealous evangelists. There is useful and beneficial information in "Those Books." Did you know that the Ethiopian Coptic Christian Bible has 81 Books? Fun Fact. Also catholic, with a small "c" means "universal," but I'm sure you weren't meaning and disrespect to Catholics, right? Just One Trinity for ALL of us... I have not heard and doctrinal bombshells in this presentation; just describing layouts, sizes, ways to take notes, etc. I Bid You Peace. Blessed Be... 🕯
