In a Bible study recently we spoke of “wilderness”. Were we now or had we ever been in one. God spoke to me that class and said that it isn’t my wilderness. I am happy doing my job caring for him. On Sunday, 11/6, I flew home from Dallas after a weekend stay with my son and baby granddaughter. Hubby forgot to come pick me up. To add a little fun to the adventure my cell phone wasn’t working right. I knew absolutely God was right there - got a cab home. Praise God he was okay when I got here. New season. Love, Cat

I was diagnosed with cancer in Sept and as I heard your story I'm thinking how blessed I am that I have a treatable even curable cancer, a fanstastic care team and a place where I feel totally safe. You give people hope that there can be better times ahead. As I travel further down this cancer journey I pray that I can be as positive and thankful as you have been. You will be in my prayers. I will keep you in my prayers… for your continued healing, and for thanksgiving for your perseverance in following God’s Grace to a new, safe place and time. I wanted to learn more about Bible journaling and started to listen to your channel. I have yet to take a brush to my new Bible, basically because I am nervous about the first step. I know in my heart, this is not the right way to go about a beginning. It is about the Bible journey, not the Bible journal. I retired 6 months ago from teaching art, and am struggling to start cleaning out a room that I want to use as a studio. Many excuses, interruptions and a feeling of being overwhelmed have kept me from going forward. After hearing all of the obstacles you have overcome to get to your “new season”, I feel humbled. God loves us, ALL the time. THAT is His nature. I look at all the blessings I have, and have very little to complain about. Time to get on this journey. If you can do what you have accomplished to move an entire house, I am guessing that God will help me with my little room. I am so sorry that you had to go through your “dark night”, but I am so grateful that you were able to tell us about it. I think that it will hit home with many more people than you could imagine. Thank you for all the good work that you do, and the fun things that you have on your channel.
This is the exact place/season I am at/in right now -- a very difficult season that seems endless. God is the ONLY one who can help me move on from here. Write your story. ❤ I’m glad you’ve walked through the valley and reached the other side. We just have to keep going until we reach the other side. I just also moved out of a place like that. I’m in a much smaller apt but it’s so peaceful and I feel safe. It makes a big difference. Blessings.
Praise God. He is so good and so faithful! May you be blessed from this point forward. I, too, am living in hope. I've suffered from debilitating migraines for over 50+ years but the doctors have come up a medical treatment to relieve the worst of it. Then after 54+ years, my husband went to be with the Lord. I am left with caring our 1890 home. The Lord has given me the strength to demolish and rebuild a pantry on my own, given me wisdom to fix my dryer, I just rebuilt the outer wall of part of my home and on it goes. At 73+ I am blessed to have God providing me the strength to do what needs to be done and the wisdom to know when I should ask for help. I so agree, God is good, He's always good. Yes we need to find that place between grace and mercy for ourselves, leaning solely on God. Bless you my dear.

Thanks for sharing. Great reminder that Gods healing of us doesn’t always look like we think it will. Sometimes it’s a miraculous immediate healing but sometimes it is healing over a period of time. The key is to just rest in the Lord. Be Still. That means to give “it” to Him and relax. Let him work. Sometimes healing means we have to work at the healing, mentally, physically, and / or spiritually.

I love the picture of your new house. I lost my mother in June, husband having new cancer complications and, I fell and hit my head (slammed my right side into a wall) early October. I'm trying to create a peaceful outdoor space, and to merge my mom's memories into my indoor space. Your story gave me hope that the scenery can change. Symbolically through the yard, but more important, through inviting the Holy Spirit in to calm the waters down. Thank you for sharing. Blessings!

Oh Rebekah, I feel sorry for all that you and your husband have been through, but mostly I am so so glad that you have left all that behind and have moved into a sunnier time, and a peaceful place. I have been practicing 'positivity' for a dozen years or more, focussing on the good, the small and the big joys of life - and what a HUGE differeence it makes in the everyday. That revolution starts in our own mind - for our thinking must be flipped around and that is hard to do by ourselves - but with God's help and His Grace, it does happen. I agree with you that amazing things can and do happen but God wants to see us take the first step, which sometimes feels like going out on a limb with a leap of faith. I have been and am walking (though it often feels like clawing my way) through a very difficult season with no clear end in sight but over the last year or so I have been actively striving to keep my mind on the good along the way because there is good in the difficult times and, ultimately, on the coming victory. I am so thankful for your words of encouragement and for you taking the time to share your story but most of all, your victory. You are right, it is far too easy to focus on the pain and the struggle and to stagnate there. I am done with that.
