I recall when it came out, it was groundbreaking to say the least. No one ever heard music like that. The Wall was another release of theirs that set the music world on its ear.
Without a doubt dark side of the moon was their best album of all time I think so I was a 16-year-old kid when that album came out and music was everything to me still is and I’m 59 years old
This concert from the Pulse Tour is one of the best concerts ever recorded! Take the time and watch it from beginning to end and enjoy........ It is an experience.
Hahahahaha 😆 your face was priceless, I had to rewind just to watch your reaction again, this was gold and a fantastic version too, thank you for brightening my day.
Awesome Song, Awesome Reaction. When I was in Junior High school, This song was blasting in the back of the school bus, every day. What fond memories. :) Keep up the good work, and help keep great music alive. The Blur Doesn't matter. Still a great Reaction. You're not dumb, many songs don't have the title we think they have. I'm just glad you recognized it. ❤
@@spoonunit1 Of course. Didn't mean Blur. Song 2 is a favotite. I meant the sad blur TH-cam forced Rebeka to put up over an awesome performance by Pink Floyd. Censorship sucks. What they don't realize is, this is how you keep great music alive today.

(when will they ever learn?!?) -- and you're still VERY interesting for a "dumb blonde" by self-description/hair dye job here
I remember back in the 1990s , when this was re released as a single, my two stepchildren came home singing this and wanting me to go and buy it. they didn't believe me when I said it was an old record until I took out my vinyl copy of The Wall and played it. It was even more amusing as they had always insisted my vinyl records were 'out of date ancient rubbish'. To this day, they still insisted their version was a modern group, so I can understand why you heard it but didn't associate it with Pink Floyd.
To this day? Lol. For years I tried to educate my ex that Crazy Little Thing was a Queen original. She insisted that it was Elvis. Some people can't be helped. Lol
Great reaction Rebeka, I loved it! You shouldn't feel stupid, people do this all the time. I watch a lot of Pink Floyd reaction videos, and this happens a lot with this song. Almost everyone has heard the chorus of this song somewhere, like department stores, radio, just about anyplace you go that has music playing. The song has been around for 42 years now, it was released in 1979. I love to see young, smart people, (like you), today, enjoying all the Pink Floyds music that I loved growing as a teenager in the 70s. I was fortunate to see them live twice in my life, one of those times was the famous The Wall Concerts. You mentioned the lights at PF concerts, yep they had/have a reputation of including some crazy good Light and Laser shows. Not only lights either, they've used all kinds of things in their live performances to enhance their performances. Here's a few things I've seen at Pink Floyd concerts,.... Giant inflated flying Pigs,... giant fire breathing Bohr heads, helicopter search lights,... a Cessna sized airplane flying from the back of the venue and crashing into the enormous wall on stage, (The Wall). (Btw, the wall on stage at all The Wall Concerts was 235 ft. long and 35 ft. high). one last thing I recall,... inflated 30 ft. evil looking puppet like cartoon characters being controlled by long cables! Some really crazy, cool stuff going on at Pink Floyd Shows back in the 70s, and 80s. Sorry for the long comment,....
I feel very lucky That I got to see them live twice, once in the late 80s and again in the early 90s. I believe it was the Momentary Lapse of Reason, and Division Bell tours. Two of the best shows I’ve ever seen.
Division Bell tour was freakin awesome dude. I was at Pulse which was stunning! But hey.. I’m old lol been listening to these guys since ground zero. I wish more people knew what drove the creation of the song.
It's so sad that it's fuzzy. But I know for the sound that it's the PULSE version. And it's great to see you again Becks, with another great choice & reaction 😉 👏
Another reaction thats clasic what a laugh well done you loved it, another of the worlds top bands and timeless unforgetable song never get enough of this band. :-)
This is one of my favorite songs back in the day when this album first came out I was first in line to buy it PS this song came out November 1979 I know this because I met my wife September 1979 God bless her soul
No one thinks you're dumb Rebekah. Great reaction. Honest as ever. Yup, Pink Floyd put on a spectacular stage show and I saw them live three times in the 1970's so I know. Keep reacting!!!
I guess you just realized you know this song and no need to feel stupid we all have a brain fart at times and your awesome and always a pleasure to watch your reactions
They had such a great stretch of albums from The Dark Side of the Moon, thru The Wall. Every minute of all 4 albums were AMAZINGLY imaginative. Rush had an even LONGER stretch. I miss the days when composers were that prolific.
Iconic song, great reaction!!! I think the next step when you've finished doing Pink Floyd is Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing, Money For Nothing, and so much more. You probably know them, but they'd be well worth a reaction.
Fun fact: The song is splitted into three parts, being this one the second of 'em. For this performance, they used Pt. 1 outro as the intro, and there's a sound during the outro helicopter that was taken from Pt. 3 Excited to watch your Comfortably Numb (PULSE, hopefully) reaction, and also you're gonna love Sorrow from the same PULSE concert.
Fun fact. They changed it up each night during their stay at Earls Court. I was at the 2nd Sunday and they played all 3 parts leading into One of these Days. Best 3 1/2 hours of my life.
Pink Floyd, before they became really famous in 1967 (the year I was born 😃) were well known for their exquisite light shows. This was the era of psychedelia and many of their followers were high on LSD. But Pink Floyd were way above all these things musically. Sadly, Syd Barrett their lead singer and inspiration fell foul of the drug culture and was caught on the ‘steel breeze’. But PF continued despite trying vainly to help Syd. The song ‘(S)hine on (y)ou crazy (D)iamond was a tribute to Syd who fell into madness. 🥲
Remember working long hours back in 1993 near the place where they prepared equipment for Independence Day of Uzbekistan. Suddenly, those big speakers start to blaze "Another Brick In The Wall" opposite to President's palace so loud the windows have vibrated. I am not sure our Great Leader was happy XD.
Hey Rebeka - you are not a dumb ass, you just have to catch up A LOT on the music of the past!! ;) It will grow on you, and you will love it, sadly you might not in the position anymore for most older mega hits to have the pleasure of seeing them live in person, but thanks to recordings you can imagine what it must of been like to standing in the crowd!! ;) BTW - you look better with dark hair!! lol keep up the good work x
When I was a youngster I used to fall asleep to PINK FLOYD music using my little tiny record player! 😂 Something very soothing about it. Plus my brother was a big fan!! I remember their album cover art was so cool - Pigs flying, Brick walls, Glass triangular prisms …. Fantastic!! I saw a performance of Pink Floyd where they kept cementing bricks together & by the end of the concert there were Bricks in the Wall 🧱🧱
You should not beat yourself up over not knowing this was Pink Floyd. It’s just very cool to know that you already knew the song. That truly is a great payoff for me to see when a person realizes that they know a song that I grew up listening to. It bridges the gap between us in my opinion to know that you know and love this music like I do. Thank you for reacting to this, you are my favorite reactor.
Had a friend who saw them on the wall tour. Unfortunately, this tour was PF last. It cost them too much touring after this so they said they had decided to stop touring. But then after a couple of years, they toured and released Pulse.
Doh! We'll let you off this time! Great reaction to what was Pink Floyds only UK No 1 single. As you'll have noticed, they were not bothered with writing bubble-gum music to fit the radio play slots, but just in creating great music. Great version of this classic, and as well as David's guitar playing, let's hear it for Tim Renwick who "jammed" along with it, apparently whilst not playing it the same way twice.
It isnt dumb because I would have never listened to this except that I wanted to see your reaction. That was as a guitar player, so wonderful you aren't youre so cute- you' re brilliant it was a wonderful morning.
