This music was from the era where bands were not afraid to break barriers and try radically new things. Some of us have been listening to Pink Floyd for 50+ years and it never gets old. Best music ever.
My all-time favourite Pink Floyd song. That long, spacey keyboard intro that is elevated into the stratosphere when the lead guitar comes in is simply astounding! And then there's every other part of the song that just destroys! Every time I hear the song it brings me back to my high school cafeteria in 1976 where I first heard it being played by the school radio station. Though I had never heard the song before, I knew immediately that it was Pink Floyd. I just found it so beautiful, I was shaken to the core. The following summer I saw Floyd perform it live at Olympic Stadium in Montreal as part of their Animals tour. I nearly left my body! Of course being really high didn't hinder the experience either, but hearing that song followed by Welcome to the Machine was one of the greatest musical experiences of my life. Absolute beauty!!!
Binge watching here and every time it seems I see a new person who have so many deafferents looks. Your doing a great job with your reactions keep it up.

I think this band has one entire trailer just for the lights, the lasers, and the giant mirror ball. The actual song begins at 3:40 something with those famous three notes. Up until then it was just an intro. I think you are radiant in this video. You look tanned and healthy. Plus you have a warm & wonderful smile. Relax and enjoy this masterpiece.... David is not the flashest rock guitar player but he is rock solid and his style is simple and exact!! He just does his job all calm and business like. Pink is one of the great rock bands!!!!

Great Floyd tune, youre a stunning lady, with a lovely smile and wow those eyes, Seen Pink Floyd live a few times, out of this world, my fav all time tune is Comfortably Numb
The 3 hour DVD of the 1994 Pulse Concert Live at Earl's Court London may be the best concert in history. Pink Floyd is incomparable as a band, and in this concert series they were at their peak, not only musically, but the band was one of the most innovative in stage performances. Just the lasers alone in the show were gold plated copper vapor lasers that cost $120K each that had never been seen outside of a physics lab before.
Pink's music takes you on a journey thru space and time.... David the lead guitarist and main vocalist is NOT flashy. He just plays and does his parts. And sings his heart out!!!!! Their ability to write great music is unsurpassed. It builds and swells like waves at the beach!!! They do not set the place on fire, nor blow it up. They just play wonderful, heartfelt music. One of the best bands ever!!!!! Hands down....... They love time changes... They build and build until you can not take anymore!!!!! Thank you pretty lady..........
I first saw them in Brighton (UK) in 1968 when I was 14 and have been lucky enough to see them live six times over the years. The best was Earl’s Court in 1994. Now at 67 they are still one of my favourite bands having accompanied me through my life through good and bad times. They are the best of British talent.
I was in my twenties the first time I experienced this before it's time fabulous piece of musical genius it had a profound effect on me then and to this day I enjoy it even more what a wonderful group they are look at all the other tracks they have created progressive rock geniuses there will never be a group who will come close to pink floyd I'm 73 years young now floyd keep me young I will never tier of them
Got to see them live in Sydney when they toured Australia during their 1974 Dark Side Of The Moon World Tour. Then again during their 1980/1 The Wall & Wish You Were Here Tour. Absolutely Awesome. They were as good live as on record. That was a great Year, I saw Pink Floyd, Elton John, The Eagles & The Rolling Stones all in the same year. Absolutely awesome.
ahh yes back then there were no shortages of great live concerts. and at affordable prices. now you gotta spend a grand to get decent seats to less than great shows. we were blessed to be able to see real musicians. even most bar bands back then were better than music now.
I could see you liked it a lot. I'm very please! There is "Music" and there is "Pink Floyd". They brings you somewhere out of your body. Pink Floyd made me fly for the last 55 years and I've been bless for that!

Hi, I love the woman saxophone player ! I don't remember ever seeing this performance on a video back then . Meaning, on MTV or VH1. I just love seeing a woman doing thing that would seem to others impossible. Not to me ! But the era I grew up in , it was difficult for woman to take on a man s role. I never understood that. But, great video reaction!
Almost reminiscent of early Pink Floyd, thought/mind provoking, really loved it, and they complimented each other perfectly. And a live performance ?? wow. Thx Rebeka
I saw Pink Floyd live in 1987/88 on their Momentary Lapae of Reason tour. It was at the Providence (Rhode Rhode Island) Civic Cemter. I was with my ex wife, her brother, and a friend. We drove the hour from Boston to Providence and, while finding the place and appropriate parking, we were a little late. We entered the Center and started making the circle in the outer lobby, looking for a sign that indicated the appropriate entrance for our seats. This song was playing while we were circling the outer lobby. I can remember the iconic guitar Riff at the beginning. We made it to our seats before the song finished, but I remember being excited to hear this song, but impatient and frustrated that we were late and that it was taking so long to find our way into our seating area. It ended up being a phenomenal show. Loved your reaction (and most of your reactions Rebeka)!
the intro instrumental to this song is a masterpiece of mood making. Whatever feelings you have when you begin to listen to, they are amplified by a thousand. You can feel sad, angry, sexy, melancholy, peaceful, or merely reflecting on the existence of everything and it all... just... works.

Floyd is such amazing art. Many "artists" today have not a clue what true art is. Art is meant to take us out of reality if even only for a moment. Art is meant to touch our very souls and Floyds music truly takes one somewhere else and allows the brain to relax and explore our deep connection with God and the universe !!

I love Floyd '67-~'76. Once Waters became a complete control freak and no Gilmour songs (w/ his lyrics) could get on their albums, things changed, and not for the best, imo. Waters got too damned downbeat, almost pedaling misery. Gone were the experimental works, the early whimsical songs; the lovely, lilting songs on "Meddle", "Obscured...", the "More" sdtrk. It started to sound like what became generic 'classic rock'.
When the piano solo hit, it's a synthesizer of the trumpet. I played the trumpet back in 7th grade. But as a Bassist. I'd give a bit more on the trumpet than what this piano guy gives. Well, the composer could have given that part to an actual trumpetier and been like, hey Joe, hit it like it's gonna go outa tha park. But I'd also love to hear the Bassist being more active..
