I ended up watching this after the announcement about the Starcruiser closing. Having watched all your Halcyon videos and getting to go to the Starcruiser, I am really getting all the feels with this video. Thank you for all the Starcruiser videos and for encouraging my fiancee and I to go. It was over the top expensive, but it was something, as huge Star Wars fans, we will remember forever.
My heaaaart! The Saja cast member almost made me cry just talking about himself and then even more so when he told Kitra how powerful she is. My younger sister overheard the video and just randomly shouted “I AM POWERFUUUUL!” after he said it to Kitra. So so sweet. I loved the stormtroopers too hahaha. Just a comedic toddler duo. Also watching a circle of adults freaking out over space bonbons is just ~chef’s kiss~
I always get chills and tear up a bit watching you experience the Starcruiser and all the “nerdy” fun you have. You both do such a great job of immersing yourself into the experience and making us feel like part of the fun. Truly magical.
I absolutely love how the other passengers have effectively made this an entirely different and wonderful experience. The way this resort has become the Star Wars mega-fan hub for the 30+ year old crowd is just the best. The friendliness, openness, and love that is nerd culture never ceases to make my heart swell. Very interesting to see different actors portrayals of each character. This version of Raith had such a different energy its almost like a separate character
Totally. He normally plays Lt Croy. And funny enough our original Raith was the Croy on this voyage. It’s interesting to see how different the characters are under different actors

That rock garden was so special…from Kitra building rock stacks with the storm troopers to Saja giving a real emotional moment. He is so awesome. Talk about charisma.

Kitra, I know how you felt when you had your moment with the Force. Just before the pandemic, my mom and I were on Batuu at night and rain had emptied the area. My mom just lost a gift card when Rey appeared. I told Rey we had a problem and Rey told me to always remember I'm not alone and to trust the Force. I kid you not: just after Rey left, my mom found the gift card! And Rey's words really helped me during the pandemic.
What a differnce a day makes! Every cast member who works on this is amazingly dedicated to the guest experience. I hope they repurpose the building as a star wars Hotel rather than closing it completely.

It doesn’t close until the end of September and I’m sure there are openings. Plus, as Jack from DSNY Newscast said, it likely will be re-imagined into a better version.

SO SO GLAD you both got to experience the Grand Captian's suite as that is the most expensive room but holds up to 8 people ...So another once in a LIFETIME memory for you both now it's been announced it's closing such a shame it's closing down as I have mentioned in previous comments on Disney vids *especially star cruiser never been to the U.S and one of my dreams/bucket list to do it and Disney Starcruiser was one of those once in a lifetime bucket list items when i could afford it ..sadly now that's not gonna happen ...IF you have another voyage booked before it closes down Kitra and Peter could be the last chance to buy some of those items you liked in the starcruiser store that isn't available in galaxies edge! ( will be collector's items in yrs to come so will have to look past the high prices for some of the items and look at it as more of an investment if you get my drift ?) Looked this video up after hearing Disney is closing the Galactic Starcruiser. I knew absolutely nothing about the hotel, but seeing this video filled me with so much joy. So much care and creativity was put into the setting, presentation, and little details of everything. The passion and excitement of everyone aboard was just infectious, and the cast members all did a phenomenal job. I was truly moved during the rock garden part just as you were. @@OrdinaryAdventures You missed Adam the Woo's first and only time by a day. Honestly the concept works but not as a year round thing. Should have May set of sailing of DCL with Star Cruiser ideas and keep it special but more reasonable for the price.
So sad that so many of us will never get to have this experience. Thank you for documenting one of Disney’s most ambitious and immersive experiences. I wish all Star Wars fans could have been able to do this.
The problem was that it was too expensive. Not sure it was worth paying $6000 for 2 night. Disney would rather shut it down then lowering the price. How sad.

Yeah it’s definitely an upcharge that I don’t think a lot of people are doing because of the hefty price but I gotta say we were expecting to say it wasn’t worth it but we were happy with it in the end.
This second trip you did resonated with me more than the first. Perhaps it was because you could celebrate it more with your friends being there. It looked a lot more fun and laid back. Thanks for bringing me along on the adventure 😊

I love seeing adults who haven't forgotten their sense of play! So many people grow up and forget how to just play the way they did as children. I'm dying to go on the Starcruiser someday, and as I've told you before, I'm not even especially into Star Wars!

We are incredibly sad to learn that the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is closing - it was without a doubt the best thing we’ve ever experienced theme park-wise ever. It’s a shame Disney was never able to figure out a way to market or price the Starcruiser to create enough guest demand. It was truly a concept we have never seen before and might never see again, and Disney struggled to even explain what it was to potential guests.
We are very grateful to have been fortunate enough to experience it. I wish everyone could have. We made so many friends along the way. I hope the castmembers and crew find new positions elsewhere in the galaxy -They made this place really special.
The videos from our first Starcruiser voyage are some of the videos we are most proud of. I am at least glad we were able to capture the experience from our point of view and share it with many who will never be able to go
It doesn’t close until the end of September and I’m sure there are openings. Plus, as Jack from DSNY Newscast said, it likely will be re-imagined into a better version.

@@jennycraigadventures3314 Reservations are now closed except for people who had already made reservations for after the released closing date in September. Doubtful anything will be left. Hopefully they will figure things out because it is a cool space.

SO SO GLAD you both got to experience the Grand Captian's suite as that is the most expensive room but holds up to 8 people ...So another once in a LIFETIME memory for you both now it's been announced it's closing such a shame it's closing down as I have mentioned in previous comments on Disney vids *especially star cruiser never been to the U.S and one of my dreams/bucket list to do it and Disney Starcruiser was one of those once in a lifetime bucket list items when i could afford it ..sadly now that's not gonna happen ...IF you have another voyage booked before it closes down Kitra and Peter could be the last chance to buy some of those items you liked in the starcruiser store that isn't available in galaxies edge! ( will be collector's items in yrs to come so will have to look past the high prices for some of the items and look at it as more of an investment if you get my drift ?) Bright suns to both of you 😘😘😉😉 ...P.S watching all your videos of the Galactic cruise of all the cast members I still think the original 1st order captain cast member on opening knocked it out of the ballpark he was epic! just the right balance of mean, arogance and slightly camp lol but he played the role exceptionally well! , He got the character role down to a T! 😉😉

Looked this video up after hearing Disney is closing the Galactic Starcruiser. I knew absolutely nothing about the hotel, but seeing this video filled me with so much joy.
So much care and creativity was put into the setting, presentation, and little details of everything. The passion and excitement of everyone aboard was just infectious, and the cast members all did a phenomenal job. I was truly moved during the rock garden part just as you were.

@@OrdinaryAdventures You missed Adam the Woo's first and only time by a day. Honestly the concept works but not as a year round thing. Should have May set of sailing of DCL with Star Cruiser ideas and keep it special but more reasonable for the price.
So sad that so many of us will never get to have this experience. Thank you for documenting one of Disney’s most ambitious and immersive experiences. I wish all Star Wars fans could have been able to do this.

The problem was that it was too expensive. Not sure it was worth paying $6000 for 2 night. Disney would rather shut it down then lowering the price. How sad.
Problem is they couldn’t lower the price much without making extreme cuts to the technology of staffing.

Yeah it’s definitely an upcharge that I don’t think a lot of people are doing because of the hefty price but I gotta say we were expecting to say it wasn’t worth it but we were happy with it in the end.
This second trip you did resonated with me more than the first. Perhaps it was because you could celebrate it more with your friends being there. It looked a lot more fun and laid back. Thanks for bringing me along on the adventure 😊
