To anyone looking into this truck I would strongly suggest looking into a different one or leaving it stock. If you upgrade this truck better have a bucket full of parts because you're going to need them!!!
Very informative. I have a couple of SunFires and they look similar to your Volcano. The hardest part for me is getting the motor mount screws in without cross threading the bottom one. The A-Arm is directly in the way and that causes the Allen to come in at an angle. I would love to upgrade to a motor mount that is adjustable with lockdown bolts on top.

I had an accident with my Volcano during a top speed run. I was running the stock 3300kv brushless motor with a 2s 6500mah 50c Lipo battery. I probably hit 35 mph when I over corrected and hit a concrete curbside. Well I destroyed the entire left steering assembly as parts scattered all over the parking lot. I'm hoping some Gorilla glue well fix the Volcano, anyways cool video dude
Have u had any problems with the gears??? I brought the same gear but pinion stripped 10mins into running on 3s. Ive looked into other types but they all seem the same. Will have to retry 🤬
I didn't have any problems out of them but I never ran it much. It was stolen from me with about 20 other rcs. Steel on steel was fine but loud. I just kept alot of grease on it. Thank you for commenting!
@@dy3931 it will but it won't last as long and it's kinda messy. It will sling everywhere. Just put a little on....it will be fine. Just a fine coat on all of the teeth will be ok.
Trichomium I got up at 4 a.m. to work on 4 trucks. I started it first....its a job but I've got it down to an hour with power tools. I will be doing something different next time I have to do it. Spiral cuts or something

I actually loosened it... did 2 sheets of paper. I'm not sure why its sounding like that. Ive tried everything...

It is that method is far too old an never is a even mesh holding the car up an tightly securing screws will warp spur an penion gear will shred down
What kind of grease is that
It's synthetic grease with silicone. I don't remember the brand but I got it at an auto parts store.
