Great work on this bike and big effort making such videos. Keep on going with further motorcycles restorations on your channel, I will be happy to see new challenges. I am going on with a GL1000 1977 restoration too, thank you for sharing your work.
Thanks for watching, my next project is actually a car. The problem with motorcycles is we don't really get the weather to ride them here in Ireland, but they do take up less space in my small workshop.
I have exactly the oppposite situation: a collection car that fills my little garage so I have to work on with the GL1000 project outside in the courtyard. which work/manteinance did you on the engine? crankshaft/piston/clutch?
@garagemade4422 how come you did not include a segment of the bike running? I have a 77 gl1000 and the carbs are horrible to work on did you find any trouble spots?
I'm not sure if you are referring to the coils when you say pulsar. The coils are connected to the ignition timing and work with a wasted spark so spark on both exhaust and ignition. Sorry if this doesn't help. I hope his diagram I found answers you question goldwingdocs.com/forum/download/file.php?id=1891&mode=view
The wires coming from the breaker points should be a yellow and a blue/or black wire they go under the fuel tank i just cant find the plugs for it and i wasnt the one who took it apart
Such a pity you weren't able to show the finished bike or it running. I was really looking forward to this
So did it run? I was looking forward to seeing you riding it off into the sunset.
Nice build...and nice bike.
Thanks, unfortunately it's not my bike.
Congratulations on project. I've a 1976 in good condition what it worth tia

Form what I remember I left the engine alone, just carburettor work
you did an awesome job! I'm a beginner at this but I'm slowly repairing my 76 gl1000 c:
Thanks, there is some great resources on you tube and the internet for Goldwings. Good luck with your build.

Do you have any tips on the wiring? I'm having issues identifying the wiring to repair my goldwing
I just got this same bike and need someone to do some work
What are you using for masking when painting the emblems? It’s sounds like you say “copper ease”, could it be copper grease? 😅 awesome work👍🏻
Yeah, force of habit copper ease is a brand name. www.commaoil.com/passenger-vehicles/products/view/220.
How do the pulsar pick up wires get reconnected? Im doing a 79 gl1000 and cant find anything showing how it connects back to the harness

Are you in America?
Congratulations on doing such a fine job on this GL1k. Please remember to get the glamor shots next time :)
Thanks, I've got lots of improvements to make with respects to my camera work. I've asked the owner to take some more shots for me.
And???...No funciona?? no Arranca??.....10 videos para no ver como suena??
yeah sorry I needed to return the bike to the owner and I lost my footage of the first start and timing adjustment and I couldn't rerecord it
You not even make it run?
