Mr GA- I lose myself in time during this episode… enamored by the historical relevance, the present day status and the beauty of this region in E371…NS. ‘One’s troubles’ seemingly melt away in every moment of this delightful 38minutes-at least for me they did. Each week I’m continually amazed by your hard work and diligence. My only disappointment is when the video ends. Thank you for bringing us along. I know my comments may sound corny but this is nothing but superbly done!!! ❤
We'll take corny! 😁Thank you so very, very much as always. Comments like yours are exactly what keep us motivated, for a whole lot of effort goes into each episode each week and when you plot the revenue per hour of work it can get a bit discouraging. 😆It's a good thing, therefore, that it's not about the money, which is why I think many TH-camrs in the RV space give up. It has to be about the love of just doing it.
@@GrandAdventure Indeed, Marc. It has to be about the love of doing it. That requires dedication and most importantly, integrity for what is right. You have both... always have. Gord
Very interestin video , loved learning the History of all these areas . We have visited all these areas over the years . We live in Windsor NS . Thanks for sharing.
Another area near and dear to us. We actually have two stays reserved at Grave's Island over the next 5 weeks, and looking forward to them both. Really beautiful area for sure, and exceptional golf if you are into that. Continued safe travels. Looking forward to your Fundy adventures next week.
Golf? Shawn, this is a family channel, so I'll thank you to avoid using four-letter profanity in the comments. 😆 Enjoy your trips to Graves Island! Fundy was pretty cool. We filmed the tidal bore, and did both the National Park and the Provincial Parks (Hopewell Rocks and Fundy Trail), plus the tourist trap of Magnetic Hill, and more.
Beautiful area-I think you were lucky to get a bit of the heat wave there-It probably enhanced the beauty and ability to explore without worrying about the weather 😃
It sure is beautiful there, Mary. We had a little bit of everything in the weather while we were there, which was probably a plus because it gave us a chance to experience its beauty in all conditions.
Beautiful weather, Marc... That last evening eating out overlooking the bay, the water was almost glassy. Ocean front conditions like that, around Halifax, are almost unheard of. Just incredible... Really great coverage of the history in that area... incidental stuff I never heard of before. Lovely campsite except that the view was obstructed with a box of chocolates... never know what you're actually going to get... episode. Stealth advertising technique. Not as bad as Dumfey beating on you after paying. But not right either. Canada used to be one the most friendly honest places you could visit back in the mid 1900's. The people were so gracious back then. Today you need to keep a firm grip on your wallet and handbag. Gord
They're still by and large very good people, Gord. We found the locals to be overwhelmingly warm and welcoming. We left Atlantic Canada with a few new friendships. We lucked out with the water conditions for much of this stay. Even more shocking will be the water conditions I experienced paddling near Bar Harbor, in a couple of weeks.
@@GrandAdventure Indeed, Marc... the outlying areas are going to be much better. Big cities are another matter. But they didn't used to be that way. I'll be looking forward to next week's episode in the Bay of Fundy and then the one at Bar Harbor. Where are you now? Gord
@@GrandAdventure Marc, I take it that your going to spend some time in the east before heading west. Maybe another visit to the Upper Peninsula again. There is so much to see up that way. You are always so busy and in a bit of a rush to make it to the next scheduled destination. But you seem to thrive on that push... Gord
@@gorrdd it definitely keeps me motivated. It's hard to produce a weekly episode otherwise. No UP this season, we're taking a very different tack to hit some places we haven't been before and check off the remaining boxes on the Lower 48 this season. So yes, we'll be in the East for a couple of more months before turning west -- southwest to be exact, for a hint.
Of you're into Firefighter Museums, Yarmouth has some original supply lines. Hollowed out trees. And plenty of restored fire apparatus. Looking forward ro seeing tonight's show!
@@cirrus820travelers9 very cool! We thought about going to Yarmouth and taking the ferry to Maine, but that would've eliminated Bay of Fundy which was high on my list.
Thanks for this episode, as we are currently exploring the Halifax area after 17 days in Newfoundland. Just curious if you hit Newfoundland when you were in this area?
@@roneskoz1961 We hope this is helpful! We had to make a difficult decision to skip Newfoundland this season. From a perspective of time, logistics and cost It just wasn't in the cards for us this year. Someday we will get there.

It certainly was, Lee. I think it was Patricia's favorite stop thus far this season, and it was very high on my list, too.
Great video as always. Nice history lesson. Nothing like Kayaking on a work day, and enjoying sea food. Don
Thanks Don! Things definitely just sort of fell into place for us for this episode.
Who needs a drone when you have a flying kayak!😂

The problem is that a 16-foot kayak needs a lot of runway.
