Shame the line failed, as I’m a sucker for gaudy colors for the most part! Apparently it had something to do with the app not having an easy video sharing system. Why would you do that to your TikTok trend riding them?!
A neat piece you got there. I can kinda see that along with other Vidiyo head pieces being reused for certain CMF series’.
Shame Vidiyo failed, cuz the minifigures were a blast with a lot of new pieces, sick ass colours and designs, just *chefkiss*
I feel like lego making this many new moulds for a line centered around such a volitile medium, aka current trends, was such a recipe for disaster. I feel if vidyo was more focused on actually being lego first instead of some weird app gateway thing, it'd could've worked, imagine a lego theme about some multiversal battle of the bands or something like that and leaning into the weird and fantastical concepts like older lego themes and then people would eat that up, but because it was presented as an app 1st thing it turned people off

Ok now that they’re gone. The fear of irrelevancy is something that all corporations and even content creators go through. Ironically enough though, chasing trends when done in a soulless manner is what actually speeds up the process of irrelevancy. The trick is just to stay true to what you want to do and not become a follower.

Glad you were able to grab one of these! It's a darn shame we've never gotten a proper dino minifigure theme. Hopefully one pops up in the near future 🤞
I really hope someone is able to scan both the Vidyo Triceratops and Brachiosaurus head pieces ( with and without the accessories ). So they can be 3D printed and sold to make custom minfigure parts.

I do remember the app brick from the 2015 Ultra Agents sets. It is quite interesting that the last wave of VIDIYO apparently got far into production before the theme was cancelled altogether.
yeah, lego (and most companies really) have a habit of going real all in into projects that seem really bad in practice

Hmm… the triceratops costume for the next CMF series in only a mask, so that's not the same mold… interesting.
I have such a love-hate relationship with VIDIYO. I can't call it a toy theme in the way of others like Alpha Team or Adventurers, but it's a step slightly above what other Fluid Play options offered like Life of George and Fusion. If Hidden Side was a good example of a fleshed-out line with AR functionality on the side, this is the direct opposite: you didn't play with the app because you bought the toys, you bought the toys so you could play with the app. With that being said, so many cool parts and designs blossomed from this theme, and seeing the lists of canceled products makes me yearn for more physical play experiences moreso than poorly-recorded, puppeteered, unofficial music videos.
I am proud to have the triceratops head as well, and I have had fun adapting it to minifigure parts for almost a year! I would love to find the brachiosaurus head, or even concept art/models for what the R&B Skate park would've looked like.

GALNERYUS MENTION IN A LEGO VIDEO?!?!?! WE ARE SO BACK. Now, heres some good power metal recommendations from someone who obsessively collects Japanese metal memorabilia: "Blue Blood" by X Japan, Greatest Hits by Versailles, and "No Smoke Without Fire" by Anthem. All three albums changed the way I made music, and each are classics in their own right, especially Blue Blood. X Japan is seriously one of the greatest bands ever, and I would recommend watching the documentary "We Are X" for a more detailed look. Love the channel, hope to see more obscure power metal references in the future. Hell, I could even make a power metal theme song for you if you want.

This dino band reminds me of Hevisaurus that is a heavy metal band for children from Finland. They have dinosaur costumes.
I might have picked up one of these sets if I could have actually figured out what they were trying to do there.

Whoa, that’s the closest you’ll ever get to having the sister from Jim Henson’s Dinosaurs in LEGO form. 4:52, and that looks like Denver the Last Dinosaur! Maybe they didn’t wanna get sued.

If there's one thing I'll give Vidiyo, it's that they came up with some interesting minifigs.
But the line itself was intended as a line for zoomers and ended up as a line for nobody.
I think i remember seeing that mold once, looks nice!

At the very least, the Bionicle power pack gave us Hafu and a Chrome Hau along with three pretty good songs, one of which was the main theme of Bionicle for half of its runtime. Cant say the same for Vidyo. The original songs on that app are rather dull, the app itself is mediocre, and the sets focused too much on the app gimmick. Plus I prefer physical media over digital, even with the failed Bionicle collab, you still have the physical disk that you can run, the Vidyo app and all of its content is as temporary as a lot of Lego phone apps.
Also yes, MNOG > Tears of the Kingdom, easily.
It's a shame LEGO generally prefers to do minifigures in cheap mascot suits than actual furries, I know some scalies who'd love this triceratops headpiece
