Could you maybe do a "How to start with Stephen King books" video? Which books are the best & easiest to get into his writing etc. I really want to start reading his books (bc of your videos haha) but I just don't know where to start
I was going to ask a similar question. I have only read pet cemetery because I wanted to read it before watching the newer movie. But I would like to have a just getting started video with recommendations on what to read first or star with! :)
I asked myself that once. So I decided to start from the beginning and read in publication order and read the bachman releases same way... example.....Carrie, Salem's lot, the shining, rage (first bachman), night shift...etc .. It's a great way to appreciate his work and see him progress in his writing. Only thing is that when it comes to The Stand you can read the original 1978 version or the uncut 1990 release. Updates a few things but still a great read....or read both if you find the original lol
Girl I am literally addicted to Stephen King content, I love knowing I’m not the only one obsessing over all these vintage editions. I’ve turned into quite the scavenger myself!
Bag of Bones is brilliant!!!!!!! Not only about grief and the secret language of a long marriage. Some similar creepy themes as other books such as a small town as a single malignant entity. Other scenes will make you cry. And a great ending. Hearts in Atlantis is essential King. nuf said.
Bag of Bones is one of my favorite books! It’s heavy but I don’t think it’s as heavy at Pet Semetary. I loved Bag of Bones sooo much, I need to re-read it!
I love used books because of the wear that happens when someone reads it. It's endearing to me to think about the time someone else spent with it and what it could have meant to someone else. First editions are fun but the real hunt is for First Edition FIRST Press ;)
I've been ignoring a lot of Stephen King books that I've been seeing in thrift shops; with the exception of hunting for IT hardcover. Your channel is making me want to have a Stephen King book collection too
I'm currently halfway through Insomnia! I also haven't heard too too many people talk about it. I definitely think it's really good so far! I haven't read a ton of King books yet, still early in my King journey, but I don't think Insomnia will be his best but definitely not his worst. Worth a read for sure though! I've been invested all the way through.
Huge Stephen King fan myself. I have all of his fiction books in hardcover (couple are book club editions)....cycle of a werewolf, creepshow and the hard case books are paperback. My dark towers are a mixture of first editions and newer hardcover editions of a couple. I also have all the short story collections and non fiction books...I draw the line at screenplays as it's hard to find most of those that are not overpriced lol
The hardest books to find in his collection which I've been trying to get a copy of are Rage, and The Original Bachman books which includes it! I know they're expensive and the sad thing is I'd just get it at the library because more than anything I'd want to read it but it's banned so it makes it tricky! Got to pay a fortune just to get it lol
You have a lot of good reading in your future with those books!! Edited to add: Keep the Stephen King content coming! He's my favorite author! I collect his books as well!
I just picked up the hugest lot!! About 156 Original Hardcover Stephen King books. Doubles of 4 Bachman books, Shining etc. All for about $500 Canadian. SSSSooo lucky.
I remember watching someone’s Stephen king video talking about the speckled pages, they said that it means it unsold by the publisher, or something like that.
I used to read so much Stephen King but it has been years. You have inspired me to read some again. How can one person be so prolific? Half the books you hauled I hadn't heard of.
Pretty sure those spots on the edges is foxing, which is from aging. There's not much you can do about it generally, though it looks like there are a few things people have tried that you could test out on some books you wouldn't mind potentially damaging.
I can't remember who it was but I just watched a bookish video where she lightly sanded the edges of her books to take the yellowing off of the pages. Might work for the spots.
Bag of bones wasn’t my favourite. Was hard to get into, I tried to read it twice- got half way the second time then decided to DNF. Was just very slow. I have the same desperation copy it’s one of my faves by him haha after the first 150 pages it gets so interesting and fast faced. So much dramaaa.
I’ve never read Stephen King before, but I plan too. Morgan and everyone else, what are the first books I should read to get me into his writing? I’m too scared to take on It at the moment XD
IT is too long for a starter book. Maybe start with Carrie. Not his best but first book. Also The Shining and Pet Sematary. I started with The Green Mile, because I love the film, so maybe start with something you know or like the film of. Less scarier novels are Misery and 11/22/63 (my favorites).
I started with the Institute, it gave me major stranger things vibes. Then I did the shining and doctor sleep. Any three of those you could start with they're not hard to get into, I really loved doctor sleep
You definitely need to read the dark tower series you are right there are some of his books that are connected with the series like insomnia the talisman eyes of the dragon the stand Salem's lot insomnia is really good read it last year 😁😊☺️
Not me wanting to buy whatever books you are planning to get rid of due to duplicates 😅 I have been looking long and hard for hardcover Stephen King books!
I was just casually clicking through my snapchat stories while watching this and then your face popped up on a maybelline commercial and I had to do a double take like what 😅
Until Morgan does, here's my list: 1) The Shawshank Redemption 2) The Green Mile 3) Doctor Sleep Director's Cut - you need to watch and read The Shining first 4) Misery 5) Stand by Me 6) The Shining 7) The Dead Zone 8) Gerald's Game 9) The Stand miniseries - 1990 version 10) Lisey's Story - TV series 11) The Outsider - TV series 12) Mr Mercedes - 3 seasons Which one do I want to see adapted most? The Dark Tower series - and want director Mike Flanagan to do it.
HEY, can i give u an idea for a video? The original video start in the channel "claureadsbook", the name is battle of my favorites books, it's about select 12 or 14 books, make rounds and choose one book above the other one and the again with the other books. 7 rounds for 14 books, then the 7 winners should fight in other rounds, and the last round with the winner book. The video of clau is in spanish, and I haven't see anyone of english comunity do it.
I click so fast when I see a new Stephen King post from Morgan. It's a drop everything and watch it immediately situation.
omg same lol
Sammmmeeee
Sameeee
Same here lol 😆😂💗

I would personally say start with Carrie. It's his first book and it is a pretty short read.
I asked myself that once. Best book ever
Go straight into IT. It's a door stopper but vintage SK before he went on what I would consider a writing slump starting with Desperation.
Girl I am literally addicted to Stephen King content, I love knowing I’m not the only one obsessing over all these vintage editions. I’ve turned into quite the scavenger myself!
Now you’re making me want to start reading his books!
I wish you someday post your reading routine/time management for reading so much books
You should read Geralds Game and Delores Claiborne back to back. They connect in a certain way.
Thanks!
i have heard that sandpaper works really good to get rid of dark or dirty book edges ;)
Greetings from Germany :)
You can use sandpaper to strip off the stains on the edges of the pages.
Desperation is amazing. It's one of my favorite King books.
Every time you post I get so excited
AW yay that's so exciting!

I adore your Stephen King videos! Please keep making them 🙂
Duma Key! Awesome!

Check out the UK editions of The Tommyknockers and The Dark Half. The covers are so much better.

Bag of Bones and Lisey's Story are perfect bookend reads. One deals with the writer side of a relationship and the other the spouse of a writer.
I love doing that as well. Book Lots are great.
It makes me sad as I had most of those in HC back in the day but lost them all. I wish I still had them. I DO still have Duma Key in HC though.
I love your stephen king content!!! Keep doing it. I would love to see a reading vlog of yours as well ❤️
desperation and the regulators are some of the best books i’ve ever read
I remember watching someone’s Stephen king video talking about the speckled pages, they said that it means it unsold by the publisher, or something like that.
I love your barrettes! So cute🌼
I used to read so much Stephen King but it has been years. You have inspired me to read some again. How can one person be so prolific? Half the books you hauled I hadn't heard of.
I just love your Stephen King videos. Thank you for another great one 😍👏
Rose Madder is my favorite King book.
Pretty sure those spots on the edges is foxing, which is from aging. There's not much you can do about it generally, though it looks like there are a few things people have tried that you could test out on some books you wouldn't mind potentially damaging.
I just read Kings ''Joyland'' i loved it so much and was surprised how unknown it is
I can't remember who it was but I just watched a bookish video where she lightly sanded the edges of her books to take the yellowing off of the pages. Might work for the spots.
'Delores Claiborne'! Yay! I was hoping you picked up that one. My favorite Stephen King. I think it's time for a reread. 😃
Can't wait to read it!
Cant get enough King
I will probably never read a Stephen King book, but I really like your Stephen King videos! 😆
Light sandpaper ! :)
dolores claiborne is good, my first stephen king book. it's so good that after finishing it i decided to read the rest of his books :)
Try sand paper to clean the edges
I’ve never read Stephen King before, but I plan too. Morgan and everyone else, what are the first books I should read to get me into his writing? I’m too scared to take on It at the moment XD

I just bought a bunch of Stephen King books from my local book store and pick them up tomorrow 💫💫💫
Bag of Bones is not as heavy as Pet Semetary. It's pretty well known for having a disturbing scene at the end
do you put plast cover on ur Hard cover editions?
You definitely need to read the dark tower series you are right there are some of his books that are connected with the series like insomnia the talisman eyes of the dragon the stand Salem's lot insomnia is really good read it last year 😁😊☺️
Not me wanting to buy whatever books you are planning to get rid of due to duplicates 😅 I have been looking long and hard for hardcover Stephen King books!
I am really really jealous of you and your amazing books 📚 please stay safe love from John in Australia your number one fan
I am currently try to tackle IT by Stephen king and I am really struggling
I need a break after one of King's Bricks as well.
Still on a hint for more king books for my collection so far got 15 or 16 books
Gerald's Game and Dolores Claiborne overlap at some point and also have similar spines.
do you Read the paper backs or Hard covers?
I love your Stephen King videos
I was just casually clicking through my snapchat stories while watching this and then your face popped up on a maybelline commercial and I had to do a double take like what 😅
Do you listen to Derry Public Radio? It's a Stephen King book club podcast and is super entertaining. I listen to it on Spotify.
I don’t know if you’ve read IT but if you haven’t drop everything and go read it and go read it right now it’s a phenomenal book!
Sandpaper will remove the spots
Again an impressive haul.
Your makeup is So Wonderful and I Do Like your Stephen King Content very much keep uploading such Content ❤️❤️❤️
How do you tell if a book is a first edition?

I'm reading Rose Madder.💜 I hope you will read Rose Madder and talk about book.💜
good. i thought of buying it, a novel, to read this year.
Now you have both versions of insomniac. Notice how they’re different?
have you read the dark tower yet?
Mile 81 is another King killer car story.
Will you ever do a video of your top best Stephen king adaptations or which of his books should be adapted 🤔👻☠💀
Until Morgan does, here's my list:
1) The Shawshank Redemption
2) The Green Mile
3) Doctor Sleep Director's Cut - you need to watch and read The Shining first
4) Misery
5) Stand by Me
6) The Shining
7) The Dead Zone
8) Gerald's Game
9) The Stand miniseries - 1990 version
10) Lisey's Story - TV series
11) The Outsider - TV series
12) Mr Mercedes - 3 seasons

To clean the book. Sandpaper
Use p100 sand paper to sand the edges of your book Video on TH-cam.
I'm huge fan of Stephen King.
insomnia was the first stephen king book i’ve ever read and it took over a month to read bc it was so boring
short for Lisa pronounced like CECE
My dad's books have those weird spots from cockroaches droppings 😣😩
Aw man don't tell me that :(
This is an unpopular opinion but Insomnia is one of my favorite Stephen King books
So how about I just buy that lot back off you 😂
The regulators and desperation both are about a child who is possessed by an evil entity so the characters are cartoonish
Your so amazingly beautiful.
