Morgan, I might have said this before but really need to read John Saul. I have read him over and over and he is really great. I almost cried when I found out that he has retired.

I am reading 11.22.63 right now as my first SK book. Judging by how much ever I've read uptil now (I'm about to finish The Janitor's Father), I don't think this falls under horror genre, per se; more so sciece fiction. But I'm enjoying it never the less for the alternate reality elements. As a horror lover, I think next time I should pick Misery or Salem's Lot. Technically, my first SK book was The Dead Zone but I dnf'ed it right after Johnny went in a coma. I don't know what went wrong, probably I was not in the mood. But yeah, maybe I'll pick it up some other time.

This was a very true-blue recommendation. I agree with it all. I will say just 3 days ago I gave a friend Skeleton Crew as his first King, knowing full well I liked more stories in Night Shift. Night Shift has more low down and dirty stroies that are exciting (and very King) but the ones I liked in Skeleton Crew were some of my over all favored. There is a give and take with those two. But I figure, after the greatness of Skeleton Crew, there's still so much fun to be had in Night Shift. It's crazy how goos both books are.

There's a difference between first editions that were out in stores, and there are first editions of book club (Doubleday etc... That we had in the 70s and 80s, example... 5 books for $1).

Hey Morgan. As a suggestion, you might organize your fragrances by season. For example place on the lower shelves the fragrances that you are planning to wear during the current season and to the top shelves those that you would not reach for so often during that particular period. I'm currently having a toasted bagel with chive and onion cream cheese and to every bite I add kimchi and wow! It's really good!! 😂 I usually have my bagels with sliced English cucumbers, but the kimchi is fire!

Hey Morgan, I’ve always wondered how beauty influencers keep up with the expiration dates for products. People criticise booktubers for their mammoth collections but at least books have a long shelf life, quite literally. How do you manage to not be wasteful with large collections that constantly needing replacing?

The institute is the only Stephen king book ive read but i loved it

I started with IT in highshool and couldn't finish it, then tried again in my 20s and couldn't finish it. Now in my 30s I tried again with The Stand and I'm looooooving it! I think I just needed to kind of mature a bit to be able to appreciate King's writing and now I'm really excited to read all of his well-known novels.

The first I read was IT no regrets tho 😂 I am now In a obsession with the losers club!!! I also am obsessed with the movies ❤❤

My first book was IT at a age where i was waaay to young to read😂. It was on my moms shelf. Then it was pet semetary in high school which didnt grab me at first but i reread it as a parent of a toddler and with many losses in the family and it hit differently. Im currently reading the stand in hopes to read the expanded dark tower reading order

Almost five years ago, I was a little late to the party in terms of reading books, and "Red Dragon" was the very first novel that I have ever read because I was super familiar with the "Hannibal Lecter" series. So yeah, I read the first Hannibal novel and it got me hooked. I have also seen the 2002 film adaptation, and it was faithful to the original novel unlike the 1986 film adaptation titled "Manhunter". Then I also watched "The Silence of the Lambs" before reading the original novel, and "Silence" became my all-time favorite horror movie. And I have yet to read "Hannibal" and "Hannibal Rising" despite watching the film adaptations.

Listen to IT, dont read it if you dont enjoy reading brick books, it goes a lot faster and is easier to handle.

Back in December 2023 I went to the bookstore with my cousins for the sake of fun and saw It in someone's shopping basket. I can't tell you how strong the jolt I felt was. I simply HAD to buy it and it sat on my shelf for 10 months (I started it a couple hours ago). A few months later, I was mesmerised by the art cover of The Stand and got the same jolt there. It's wierd to see that you brought up these two as things you wouldn't recommend, while they're my first Stephen King books to own.

I was actually wondering where to begin with Castle Rock saga , thank you for the info! I'm reading his books in publication order and at the moment I'm reading Salem's lot, I'm going down a rabbit hole where I want to read all of his works!

I started with Billy Summers, a crime-ish novel. I really enjoyed it. I caught some references to other novels but it was more like a moral panic because of criminal behaviour throughout from different characters.
