I can't even remember my first Stephen King book because I started reading his books in elementary school, lol. I was probably...8? My dad probably shouldn't have let me, but his philosophy was that if I was old enough to read such a big complicated book, then I was old enough for the content (though he told me I couldn't read them at school). If I had to take a guess at which was my first, it might've been...Desperation? I know I've read Desperation, but I can hardly remember it, so maybe that was the first.

I have the same problem of hiding books all over the place and then forgetting them so recently I added them all to a shelf in goodreads to see just how many I have (over two hundred 😮) and also so I can browse them easier

I would not recommend Sarah J, Maas tbh. Her books are entertaining, but she's not good. Dracul sounds so interesting though, I may have to add that to my tbr o.O

I love these videos! I'd say read Dracul, The Silence of the Lambs, and then The Housemaid! (The Housemaid is a very quick read because the chapters are so short)

I’m not a non fiction girly, but I’ve been trying to read outside of what I usually read. My mom has come very handy with that cause she usually buys me books that sound good, and not something I have on my wishlist lol. She had recently bought an entire tote box full of books from a flea market for me. I know I’m grown and that I’m fully capable of buying my own things, but things are costly as an adult and it’s nice having somebody who supports my interests and even helps out purchasing books because she’s grown too and understands how costly life is.

The most recent book about ancent Rome I bought was The Emperor of Rome by Mary Beard, but I think the next one I'm going to read is Agrippina by Emma Southon

the stand is one of my FAVORITE books of all time! the cast of characters, especially those in vegas, are so incredibly interesting to read about. my favorite relationship is that between lloyd henreid and randall flagg. they are so interesting to me.

I read The Radium Girls years ago and it’s still imprinted in my brain! I’ve had the other Kate Moore in my wishlist for a while. I recently read The Age of Magical Overthinking and it was wonderful! I annotated the heck out of that book, and I don’t annotate books. But the book is about cognitive biases our brain used to cope with The Age of Information, is not really about how to use self help books.

I just decided to get started into Stephen King, I've read the Shining before ages ago but in a book haul I got like 15 of his books. After a lot of careful consideration I jumped into Needful Things because I wanted a book that people usually guarantee you're going to like. I am not disappointed, it is a great book. After this I am going to go back to the earliest order of publication that I have, which is the 2 short story compilations Night Shift and Skeleton Crew. Then I'll try and find Salem's lot, Carrie and Cujo at the library.

Ever heard of Historical Fiction? That's what 11/22/63 is. Confusing it with non-fiction seems bizarre. Concur with your views on The shining, Pet cemetery, and the short story collections.

When it comes to old Stephen King books.It's all about condition and a stephen king collector website does not account for that

I’m 13 and my first Stephen Ming book was Christine, I’m sorry to say it wasn’t really one of my favorites. I didn’t really like it at all. But I powered thru and got into reading The Shining! Which that became one of my faves :). I’ve now read about 10-13 of his books and plan to read more!!

Actually I wouldn’t recommend IT right away, even for epic novels lovers. Maybe the stand, but not IT. It’s a book for people who read a few of his books and liked his style

I love audio books so much!! I’ve always been a super slow reader and very intimidated by long books. I get super sleepy while reading like I will literally read 2-3 pages and stop to sleep. But I love books so much and want to be a faster more dedicated reader and not pass out 😫

Oddly enough, when I buy used books in mint shape, I don't mind buying Stephen King books that look like they have been read, finding a great book/story is always worth it.
