As a non-reader, but avid fan of the channel, you led to me going out to a local gem of a bookstore and I picked up 4 King books! (first two of the dark tower, which I've started, as well as Thinner and 11/22/63.
STEPHEN KING HYPE!! I have a whole bookcase dedicated to his books. It was originally my moms collection but she passed away in 2013 from cancer. Since then I’ve dedicated time finishing the collection. It warms my heart seeing others King collections! 🖤 Happy reading! Love the channel, have a good year my dude.
Crazy.. I think I manifested you becoming a booktuber. A few weeks ago I was wishing for a male booktuber with a reading interest similar to me that I can trust and then I stumbled on you yesterday. I don’t subscribe often, but subscribed after the first video I saw. Keep it up! I’m liking the new haircut too!
i really love listening to collection videos like this and the last copy you showed was incredible. i also want to mention that i find Rose Madder to be very underrated and i enjoyed it a lot more then i expected
As a fellow King fan and someone who is also carefully going through his multiverse, thought I'd give some advice for reading. One: If it Bleeds doesn't have anything to do with Pet Semetary, it is in fact a collection of four novellas (like Different Seasons/Four Past Midnight) and the title story is a sequel to The Outsider. Both of which follow the Mercedes trilogy. So ideally: Mr. Mercedes, Finders Keepers, End of Watch, The Outsider, If It Bleeds (Novella), and then Holly. Also I've noticed you haven't read any of the Castle Rock books which is helpful. The order there includes some novellas and short stories (including The Body) but the meat of that "series" that is loosely connected and some later books spoil the others. So a reading order there I'd encourage is The Dead Zone, Cujo, The Dark Half, The Sun Dog, and Needful Things. Hope I was helpful as I've been a long time fan of your stuff on the Tok and excited to see you doing well on the Tube.
The Drawing of the Three is one of my top three favorite SK books, so it warms my heart to see your five (five? not sure if I counted correctly) copies.
I really enjoyed Cell. I read it when it came out and later learned that most people don’t like it. I’m glad I was able to read it without knowing that. It probably would have tainted my reading experience. Love your collection!
I'm just getting started with Stephen King. I read On Writing a few weeks ago and loved it, then I read Carrie this week. Definitely looking forward to reading much more!
Nice collection! I have most of my King books on kindle. But I just orderer IT and The Stand (barnes and Noble) and 11/22/63 in Hardcover and the Dark Tower as a boxed Set. I am really looking forward to them.
Until I watched this video, I felt like I had read a lot of Stephen King, but apparently not 😅 I love the King hype - I feel like so many people are so snobby about his work but I'm so fascinated by how so many incredible ideas came out of his brain 😊
I just found you tonight and love your videos. I live near Buffalo as well, what are your favorite thrift stores? I appreciate your collection, you almost made me want to collect as well. I am at a point iny life where I am purging everything and books were the first to go ( but I did keep a couple King books lol). The library and ebooks are my favorite things now. I work at a school where a bunch of us have recently started reading again, and there are 3 of use who stop in the hall to discuss our current favorite King books...maybe we can convert the others lol. Enjoy reading!
I get a kick out of when you say "just a paperback no big deal" because IMO trade paperbacks are where it's at. Mass market paperbacks are too small and are awkward to handle when reading, hardcovers are heavy and bulky and also a bit awkward to handle when reading, whereas trade paperbacks are the perfect size and super comfy. And when you get one with a matte texture *chef's kiss* plus a lot of times I swear some of the best alternate covers are for trade paperbacks. Like the Misery and It covers you have, the trade paperbacks look so good. Though I guess hardcovers do hold up the best and look great on the shelf. But personally all my favorite covers and editions I own happen to be trade paperbacks. I think I'm a minority when it comes to book preference. I am so jealous of your first editions and that signed copy. I ended up getting a lot of my Stephen King books from Goodwill so many of them are mass market paperbacks or beat up hardcovers. Maybe I should go through and see if any are first editions. I don't like buying from Goodwill anymore, because at least where I live it's rare to find books in good condition and I have realized over the years that I want my books clean and pristine. Many of my Goodwill finds I end up wanting to replace because they look dirty or abused. I'd rather buy new or from better thrift stores. I also worked at Goodwill for a while after I graduated high school and have seen how gross and unsanitary people's donations are...
I will be reading 11/22/63 this year as I’m not super familiar with King’s work but am an avid horror fan. I’m going to try and read a few of your top ones!
I just finished it. It was hard and...long. too long. Loved the story but...there is a but, don't know yet what that but means. But I just closed the book before watching this video
A few months late on this, and you may have read the Mr Mercedes trilogy or The Outsider already. If you haven’t, read the Mr Mercedes Trilogy, The Outsider, the If It Bleeds Novella, then Holly. I read the Outsider first without knowing I needed to read Mr Mercedes and I was a little confused about 2/3 of the way through The Outsider. Just a helpful tip 🤗
I've only read IT and had to put it in a drawer for a "time out" after the bath tub scene 👀 if you know you know. Thank you for inspiring me to read more King!
I thought you should know: there are actually 3 versions of 'The Stand' and you have the complete unabridged 1990 version but you ALSO have the rare 1980 version. The 1980 paperback has one minor edit from the 1978 first edition and that is the year the story is set in is changed from 1980 to 1985. The 1990 complete edition is set in 1990 with cultural reference updates (things that hadn't happened yet in 1978).
I was surprised you said under the dome was one of the least liked of his books. I’ve always compared it with The Stand in its structure and to me it just feels similar. I think I like Dome better just because it didn’t seem to drag on as much as I felt The Stand did. Both great books though!
Is "the body" worth reading, or is it pretty much the whole movie? I have searched high and low for that and can't ever find it individually or in a large book set. I'm a new subscriber btw! Love your vids.
So when you decide to read one of the King books in first edition, would you read FROM the first edition or would you read a paperback version instead so you don’t damage the first edition??
Most of my Stephen King collection are his least liked books because those were always the ones for sale at my local library growing up lol. I enjoyed the Tommyknockers! Pet Sematary is my all time fav
Read Mr. Mercedes trilogy before The Outsider and then If It Bleeds before Holly. If It Bleeds has 3 stories in it one of which is tied to Holly, the other two aren’t related to Pet Cemetery.
No thinner yet! Thats been a tough one to find. In all of my searching I have yet to see a copy of it! I might have to bite the bullet and order online lol
I wanted to love Under the Dome. I enjoyed all until the very end. Then I wanted to huck it across the room. I would even reread it now but would skip the end. The main villain is just so vexing and I loved it. I have been meaning to read the Langoliers. I saw the most awful movie version of it when I was a teenager but the story sounded good. Maybe it will be more enjoyable as a book rather than a movie that looked like someone used MS paint for the special effects. 😂

Yesssss! Stoked to hear that!
Thinner so underrated

Happy reading! Love the channel, have a good year my dude.
My mom also had a massive amount of King when she passed, and I sadly didn't get any of them. Lucky you!
Love your content all the way from New Zealand! Keep it up! You are a natural ❤
I was really glad to see cycle of the werewolf in your collection! It's one of my absolute favorites of King's work.
Its such a cool one! The illustrations in it are insane.

I love the music you include with the videos, so chill
Great vid! I would very much enjoy a roomtour aswell
On it

Woah!!! What an amazing collection. That signed one 😍
i read so many kings when i was 16/17. now im over 30 and currently rereading:) lovin the video!
NICK. NEVER, ever, EVER get rid of that abridged copy of The Stand. You won't be able to replace it.
Hell, neither one of them!!
The Drawing of the Three is one of my top three favorite SK books, so it warms my heart to see your five (five? not sure if I counted correctly) copies.

I’m m a little over half way done with The Mist. It’s my first Stephen King novel, short story….my first everything lol and I’m loving it so far!
Nice collection! I have most of my King books on kindle. But I just orderer IT and The Stand (barnes and Noble) and 11/22/63 in Hardcover and the Dark Tower as a boxed Set. I am really looking forward to them.
you are in for a wild ride
Love this channel!

Rose Madder is one of my favorite King novels. You should most certainly read it one of these days!
It's very good, but the abuse in that book is so cringe. I could actually believe I could feel every punch he threw at her.
A great collection, nice to see you with out a hat 😀
Under the dome is actually one of my favorite out of like 15ish books I've read of Stephen King. I enjoyed it just as much as The Stand
Thanks for sharing. Nice collection! Love ya too
;)

Love your hair
The hockey card falling out: "Canada..." I'm dying. 😂

Rose Madder is my all time favorite! Seriously underrated!
Can’t wait to hear your opinion on The Outsider
I just finished it. It was hard and...long. too long. Loved the story but...there is a but, don't know yet what that but means. But I just closed the book before watching this video

A mighty fine collection! Kingly, even.
;)
From a Buick 8 is so underrated. I consider it ALMOST a dark tower book. He could so come back to this story line and progress it. Wish he would.
I've only read IT and had to put it in a drawer for a "time out" after the bath tub scene 👀 if you know you know. Thank you for inspiring me to read more King!
That part creeped me out as well. Made me stop taking baths and only showers for a long time. Too paranoid and creeped out.🥴😮💨
Recommend reading the first Castle Rock story: The Dead Zone BEFORE Cujo.
You'll be glad you did.
Enjoyed video. 🎉

As a Blues fan, I let out a little "whoop!" for the Brett Hull card lol
That Song of Susannah cover makes me think of the Papyrus skit from SNL. Did an intern design that?
Is "the body" worth reading, or is it pretty much the whole movie? I have searched high and low for that and can't ever find it individually or in a large book set. I'm a new subscriber btw! Love your vids.
You might like it! I did not enjoy it as much as i thought i would.
Subbed because you live near Buffalo. Do you have your Josh Allen jersey is the real question though...
I've read 77 books of him and still counting. I'm missing only Blaze and The Colorado Kid.
I am a reader for two months and i read 7 books by now, 3 from tolkien and 4 from king 🙂🙃
If It Bleeds is a short story collection. But the main story is a sequel to Mr. Mercedes trilogy. I enjoyed it.
So when you decide to read one of the King books in first edition, would you read FROM the first edition or would you read a paperback version instead so you don’t damage the first edition??
That's actually the same version of Carrie I picked up from Barnes and Noble a few days ago.
Most of my Stephen King collection are his least liked books because those were always the ones for sale at my local library growing up lol. I enjoyed the Tommyknockers! Pet Sematary is my all time fav
To get to Holly you needa read Mr. Mercedes, Finders Keepers, End Of Watch, The Outsider, If It Bleeds & then Holly.
I read about five SK books this year and have come to comprehend that SK is not for me.
But I do want to read Pet S at some point of time.
Read Mr. Mercedes trilogy before The Outsider and then If It Bleeds before Holly. If It Bleeds has 3 stories in it one of which is tied to Holly, the other two aren’t related to Pet Cemetery.
Have you considered reading Thomas Pynchon?
One of my first and favorite SK books is Dolores Claiborne !!!! If you have not read it, you need to
Damn, too many King books I don't have.
❤️❤️
Does anyone know how many king books there actually are as of 2024?
Going to put back in alphabetical or publication order?
Where's ''Thinner''? Richard Bachman's Thinner. A great miss...
No thinner yet! Thats been a tough one to find. In all of my searching I have yet to see a copy of it! I might have to bite the bullet and order online lol
How much do you read now? You just only started this year, right; but you sound like you read (King) for years.
Ok so under the dome was a solid 4/5 stars for me. It misses the mark at some points but it is a GOOD story. One of the best villains in any story.
That’s good to hear! I’m excited to start that one (hopefully this year)
Big Jim Rennie(sp?)!!!
You have to read Billy Summers it’s a great book
SK big paperbacks have the best flop! 🔥
Anyone who says Stephen King is their favorite author is a douche.
Tell me you favorite books and author...I can't seem to find good books
"promosm" 🤤
