OMSCS: Are graduate degrees really worth it anymore?

I've been getting this question a lot lately, and with all the lockdowns I understand why. Is a master's degree, whether it be on campus or online; really worth the time and effort anymore? I go over some of the pros and cons of higher education, with my perspective on OMSCS.

Who needs a master's degree anymore? They just want to see your experience.
That’s not always true. You can get a lower level job with no degree. But you can’t really get advancement without degrees.
@@michaelovadiyah659 Depends on your goals though; I have my own businesses, a master's degree is just a personal goal. I'm doing fine without it :D

Mark Zuckerberg went back to school while running Facebook to finish.
I actually did not know that; I might have to do the same thing if I cannot finish this year. I recommend leaving the easiest, not the hardest for last!
@@EdwardMendoza and the truth is, if Zuckerberg never went to Harvard in the first place he wouldn’t have met the people that helped him start Facebook in the first place. Including the brothers whose program he ripped off.
@@michaelovadiyah659 Yes but that is most likely not going to happen at OMSCS; people rarely communicate even by email after each semester is over. For real connections, you need to go to an actual campus, online cannot replace is; so you get what you pay for.
