Great advice. I got an offer for the OMSA for the upcoming semester but I felt unprepared for the math prerequisites. Do you think it is better to defer the entry into the program and fill in the knowledge gaps all at once?
I've heard OMSA courses are in general easier than OMSCS(at least for now because it's a new program, they will keep making it more difficult with time), but I would take one course first and get an idea of the difficulty level. Start as soon as possible, if you're not prepared, you can just drop the course early and take it again the following semester.
I know this comment was from months ago, but so far in my graduate CS courses both in and out of Georgia Tech, most of the tests have been open book, so memorization is not that important. What's required is understanding.
Get through my engineering degree online this year, it was brutal but worth it!!
I hate tests, I used to panic about my grades all the time

why do we need tests in graduate degrees anyway? all that memorization doesn't translate well for cs jobs, I don't know what's the point.

online degrees is the future, whether wet like it or not
OMSCS is different from OMSA, right?
