I can't wait to see these being retired. IAF resembles a vintage car garage. These are so old that no country howsoever poor operates these aircraft. Here is Pakistan buying J10C & our clock is stuck in 1960-70's.
I have also overhauled my ambassador car 4th time , now it has touch screen , parking sensors and reverse camera with totally new air conditioner. Jai hind and Vande Mataram.
I really like your informative videos!! Even though I consider myself as a person who is aware of defense capabilities of India, that change has come in me only since 2013-14 and what Indian Defense was before that I knew only superficially. Thanks to you, I'm getting to learn about that now. Keep them coming bhai!! Jai Hind!!
Very nice and informative video. Advantage of Jaguar is low flying to avoid radar detection and low speed to accurately pinpoint and hit target. This aircraft flying from Mumbai can reach Karachi via Arabian sea and hit enemy and return. Similarly in mountainous terrain, this aircraft can surprise enemy by hiding itself in hilly areas. AESA radar is very useful and wise addition.
Those are some ancient radar tech that would allow Jaguar to go in undetected. The current AESA radar on a J10c or JF17 Blk 3 will detect a metal-bodied jet-like Jaguar from far & take it out in BVR.

Great and informative video! It never let the attention lag despite its length. It would have been nice if you had also covered the issue with the Honeywell F-125IN re-enginning as also the Jaguar MAX/DARIN IV concept and its implications.
Honeywell engines are so expensive that HAL has abandoned the idea. I hope IAF retires these ASAP & look for aircrafts that are relevant in the modern context.
Very nice & detailed video! Lot of unknown things are discussed! One thing, I must say that the premitive version of Jaguar is completely changed after darin-3 upgradation!

Since jaguar is a very reliable bomber why can't HAL pruduce a new Made in india similar aircraft with state of art technology. This will be a win win situation for the airforce and the country, the makers of jaguars definitely won't have any say since there's no new productionn of this aircraft.
Yes, because of the stability of the aircraft, it is used for a lot of areal photo shooting and video recording. For the same reason it used to be reliable platform for ISR roles too.
Jai Hind. It was nice to know we are still using decades old European fighters without any major accidents. Compare to Russian famous MiG-21.. Also we should talk more about our foot soldiers and their equipment which are less costly and still we as a country are unable to provide a made in India simple assualt rifle. Ultimately the wars are won by foot soldiers.
