    all these USB switches seem to have issues. its impossible to find a USB 3 switch you can plug 4 devices in that does not have issues ugh

    The Ugreen switch is terrible. It keeps disconnecting even with the 5v power attached.

    If you consider this UGREEN to be good device there are only two possibilities,....1 there is no good usb switch in the world, 2 you did not try any of them

I didnt try yet anythink elese, but no I am going to order kceve which looks better. If I will remember I will come back to say somthing about it.

      @@Techfluencer Startech. I had the rubbish Ugreen and threw it in the trash. Buy Startech instead. Its more expensive but you get what you pay for.

    The most robust device is ranked at number 5. I have Ugreen one, which is not good. Only 1xUSB port works at a time successfully.

      Sounds like you got a faulty device, I just got mine this week and it's flawless running 3 USB devices at once

      I have the same experience with the Ugreen one. It worked for a period, and then worked intermittently if all cables are removed to reset it, but now seems to be permanently broken. It is the same failure that you describe. Only a single one of the hosts can be connected to

    I have USB devices randomly stop working without warning when connected to the UGREEN USB 3.0 switch I got from Aliexpress. Adding external power didn't help.

    Why any of these switch creators think that having a switch with a button is great idea? It's the most stupid thing ever. Cause you really want 6 cables dangling on the table and some hard to push button? Why not a remote or a simple wired button for convenience.

    • @bryankerr6725
      @bryankerr6725 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      because people want to hide the big ugly box behind their desk with all the other wiring, and only have a button on top of the desk

    • @MrDovanele
      @MrDovanele 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bryankerr6725 Just think about it for a moment. You have said, "hide the big ugly box behind their desk with all the other wiring". If you hide the box way the button lose the meaning as it's no longer accessible.
      Also, if you connect the hub with 6x USB and want it reachable it will be almost half way the table with all the cables dangling on the top. There used to be a single wired button that then can be used to place it where you want without showing all the crap on the table or just use remote.

    • @bryankerr6725
      @bryankerr6725 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrDovanele but not for me. I only need it for my mouse and keyboard. My current setup has everything hidden. I taped the button on the underside of my desk. So now I can't see any wires, boxes, or anything else except my monitors. That's why I like the button. I understand in your case if you need constant access to the USB ports, then no button is better, but in my case I like the button because I don't wanna see anything on my desk.

      some more expensive KVM switches allow you to use your mouse or hotkeys or push the button. I like the keyboard-hotkey option myself, but got no $$$$.
