You should make this into a kit. We would all buy one.

Glad I kept my 2018 carb bike after buying a TBI, looks like I have some testing to perform on the TBI for issue avoidance and peace of mind.

What size is the intake? Where do we find the fitting you have in the video for the vacuum pump?

I have a 2019 Ktm. I just performed this test at a curiosity doesn’t hold a vacuum and I can hear Air coming out of the oil cap hole when I pressurise the system ,crank seals are not that Old is most likely coming from from the power valve as it’s different to the TBI. ?

I really appreciate you figuring that out. Yes, it drains into the. trans. And that's why the older bikes don't have sponge out the muffler, like the TBI bikes. It would mostly drain into the trans. So you people who are concerned about stooge on the TBI bikes should be ore concerned when there is NOT spooge

Any tips for doing this on the later year carb bikes (2018)? I’ve tried to do something similar by plugging the intake and exhaust and pressurizing through the spark plug hole at bottom dead center. I’m not sure if it’s possible to do this way with normal leakage from the power-valve. Does pressurizing from the intake avoid this problem somehow or is the design of the TBI bikes different? Hard to know if I really have a leak somewhere as I found nothing with soapy water and don’t hear air from inside clutch cover.

I really don't know how you would do it on the older bikes, without making special plates to seal things off. The new motor design just makes it easier to do

just do a vacuum test instead use an oil can and put oil around the power valve shaft to create a seal. That’s your only leek

Any silicone or yamabondd type of stuff is working fine. Let it dry though
