- Are some human lives worth more than others? In IVF, euthanasia, and other bioethical issues, we start to deem some lives as being lesser instead of seeing how unique and irreplaceable every life is.
In this episode of the Into the Truth podcast, bioethicist and Catholic mother Dr Pia Matthews explores the ethics of IVF, the reasoning behind the assisted dying debate, raises awareness of the dignity of those with disabilities, and offers Catholic marriage advice.

Praise God, this is excellent. I'm new to the podcast, looking forward to catching up on certain episodes/subjects.
Thanks everyone for making this podcast! Although I'm not Catholic myself, the issues discussed are very relevant. For the last two years I've been thinking that the IVF & surrogacy industries and especially IVF & surrogacy patients treat children like Barbie dolls at the toy factory. There're so many stories out there when babies born through IVF and surrogacy were abandoned by their parents in orphanages simply because parents changed their mind on parenting. Also, so many stories when babies born through IVF accidentally didn't belong to their parents by DNA or were falsely conceived by male doctors and female patients (cases of Dr.Donald Cline and Dr. Jan Karbaat). Now I understand why the Catholic Church of Netherlands disapproved of Jan Karbaat's IVF activity.
@@minniemoe4797 thanks for sharing your thoughts on this! We’re really glad that you liked this episode! The IVF and surrogacy industries are sadly profiting off the heartbreak of couples unable to conceive.
