This is really great! What I particularly love about film are those rich colors - though I also often see footage, which doesn't have that like yours but more like a brownish monochromatic tint to everything. Do you know, what I mean? Is it the lab, or the grading, or how it's exposed - can you explain, why your footage looks so colorful?
Thank you! The film will come back to you scanned in a LOG format which is very flat and dull. There are multiple ways to add the contrast and saturation into the footage. Some people might not being doing that step correctly. It also could be that they have underexposed the film quite a bit. It could also be that they were shooting on expired film.
Glad you were still using your 16mm camera Brae. The colour rendition of that Kodak film is great. 👏👏👏
It's hard to beat! Very fun to use on special occasions!
this is a timeless piece, feels very 80s-90s, felt like I was watching a movie more so than a youtube video. Great job!
haha, 80s-90s are "timeless" 😆
Thank you!!
The return of the 16mm film videos…beautiful
I personally really enjoy the voiceover commentary on your videos but...... this is something of beauty. Really amazing video.

Thanks for helping influence me to get back in to 16mm. Been back in to shooting on it and 8mm ever since your first K3 video.

Nice Foley sound!
gorgeous !!
Thank you!
absolutely gorgeous

Seems like 16mm is the way to go. I love the older 35mm film stocks, but the new ones tend to look almost digital.
