Anyone who wondered why you bought the RS only has to watch this or any one of a dozen other videos and see the smile on your face or listen to you talk about the drive to understand that you own cars you enjoy driving! I love listening to you talk about the way you enjoy driving as it reminds me of the way I felt when I was your age (around 30 years ago) and I love the scenery in today's video as well!
It really is, the North Coast and Highlands are something else. It also has some of the shittest most deprived areas - which I assume is where Aidan is from.
WAZE is simply the best navigation app there is. Shows cops, speed cameras, delays and is free. I don't blame you for using it over the standard navigation
Apart from when the NJ state troopers use it to confuse drivers into thinking there are cops all over the place because they move every 2 minutes and Waze cant keep up.
You should do more videos of this kind Shmee! It'a a sort of daily vlog and it's a great way to strengthen your relationship with us,I mean to be closer. ;-)
I really do enjoy your videos of you driving. I certainly look forward to driving my corvette with you one day hopefully. I enjoy your joyous spirit. Keep it up man and I can not wait to see that glorious FORD GT that you were blessed to have.
Fantastic video Tim - the roads up there are superb and you certainly picked the right car to take along - it'd be great to see it back up there when the weather is much cooler - Turbos LOVE cold air!😈😈 - Well done for completing your ten week odyssey and thanks for sharing as ever - looking forward to seeing what's next!👍👍👍
Ah bonnie Dundee, at one point you were literally 5 minutes from my house haha! Cool to see you up this way, some very VERY special roads in the north of Scotland :) The road to glenshee is one of my favourites, car or bike it's always an absolute blast. Really glad you experienced that, proper rollercoaster of a road!
Nice, cant wait for my RS to arrive for another trip round Glenshee. The road from Glenshee to the lecht ski center is fun as well if you have enough time.
Shmee, you should have carried on a few miles to Crathie then turned off on the B976 to join the A939 across the Cairngorms to the Lecht Ski Centre, Tomintoul and Grantown on Spey. All part of the same Military Road built by General Caulfield in the mid 18th Century. Absolutely stunning! Next time ....
I get what you mean about loving the RS on those roads, I have had a Focus ST for 8 years and really don't want to part with it, a road trip to Scotland is in order I think! Those roads look great fun
Great blog...next time up, especially focus. Do the dukes pass....amazing road between Calendar and Aberfoyle....used to take my impreza over it regularly...you'll see
Great video Tim, just you and the car. My RS should turn up in January (8 months early!) and i'm looking forward to doing a trip to Scotland in it too. Keep the updates coming!
A nice ending video to the tour. Pretty calm and madness-free. You should take a break from TH-cam for a few days after this, just to catch your breath a little. You deserve it!
Shmee this has been the best content out of all my subs for the last couple months! I hope you''re able to do this sort of thing again with the Ford GT in the States next year! Would be epic! Keep up the vids man!
Hi shmee, another great video.I live in Aberdeenshire.I wish i was in the cairngorms with my drone when you was there, that would of looked amazing on such a beautiful day.
those roads are on my doorstep.... you need to drive the A939 over to Nairn ( just don't go in there it's full of traffic lights lol) also the NC 500 is awesome I hope to do it again next year....
You passed my old house at around the 5:30 mark. Some of those sode roads are even better but definitely not for supercars. A word of advice - the Glenshee road is liable to closure once the snow comes. You have been warned.
When you drive the 500 you must drive via and eat at kylesku. When I did it in the caterham, it's the best stretch of road ive ever driven and the food at the hotel superb. Enjoy.
Tim, go to cheddar gorge. You would love it. The top looks similar to the roads in this video but the lower sections are much more technical and very fun
been along the glenshee road lot would say from my experience in summer there is a lot of motorbikes and a lot of crashes on the road as it gets very busy
These are the Winter tyres available for the RS as an option in North America but also available from Michelin in the UK "Ford will sell a winter wheel and tire package as an option for $1,995 on the Focus RS. It includes 225/40R18 Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 tires wrapped around 18- by 7.5-inch wheels."
I think we should rename this route the GlenShmee road after this video. I just bought an RS off the back off this video and will be driving it back down the same road in a couple of days...
I'm from Aberdeenshire and the roads are amazing for the gt8 I recommend the roads round Aberdeen and Fraserburgh( look the towns up) but ur Aston would be amazing. Love ur content keep it up.
you are seriously making me want the rs! you should came to Greece and try out some of the roads here! they are perfect for the gt4 and the rs! keep up the good content! cheers :)
Hey Shmee, you ever thought about getting a Mitsubishi Evo Final Edition? It's a pretty special car and it'll be a future collectors car so I think it will be a great investment.

If you love this kind of landscape, Scotland is probably one of the most beautiful countries on this planet.
Kitebuggy is it fuck mate
It really is, the North Coast and Highlands are something else. It also has some of the shittest most deprived areas - which I assume is where Aidan is from.
Kitebuggy go to Edinburgh or Glasgow you won't think that then 😂
Bryan Janes I'm from a nice part of Glasgow but most of it is a shite hole mate
Thank you tim for this amazing adventure you've taken us in the past couple of months been an absolute joy to watch. Thank you
WAZE is simply the best navigation app there is. Shows cops, speed cameras, delays and is free. I don't blame you for using it over the standard navigation
Apart from when the NJ state troopers use it to confuse drivers into thinking there are cops all over the place because they move every 2 minutes and Waze cant keep up.
I saw your LT at Topaz today. Haha!
Crazy to think you have been on the road for over 2 months.
You should do more videos of this kind Shmee! It'a a sort of daily vlog and it's a great way to strengthen your relationship with us,I mean to be closer. ;-)
Great video Shmee, making me want to take my RS upto Scotland now, those roads looked superb!
The Mini has to be the easiest one to keep a track of. If it's not home, then it's likely at the repair shop.

I'm glad you've experienced this road, it truly is fantastic.
I really do enjoy your videos of you driving. I certainly look forward to driving my corvette with you one day hopefully. I enjoy your joyous spirit. Keep it up man and I can not wait to see that glorious FORD GT that you were blessed to have.

That's one of the best roads in the world, perfect for that car. My Z4M used to love that road....
Christ has it already been two months!?? Time flies
Has been great to watch, hope to see it again.
NO WAY,I saw you on my way to school in Dundee
Amen
LOL!! XD
Shmee, you should have carried on a few miles to Crathie then turned off on the B976 to join the A939 across the Cairngorms to the Lecht Ski Centre, Tomintoul and Grantown on Spey. Definitely! Thanks :)
I got to drive the Old Military Road earlier in the year took a detour on the way back from Inverness, What an amazing experience...
thanks for the awesome videos !!!
love that ford, especially the colour
Scotland is beautiful. One day I'll get there!
Glad you are enjoying the RS
Nice to see an old school Shmee video
Getting close to a million subscribers Tim! Keep it up!
Best tour ever shmee and I hope there are more tours in 2017
Next time you're up here you should visit the "Electric Brae" on the Ayrshire coast. A strange phenomenon not to be missed!
Sometimes I forget that shmee also will get a Ford GT. The ferrari FF and the porsche GT4, are more than enough in my opinion.
Perfect day, driving amazing roads. Love your content Tim 😁
yup, being from Dundee I drive those roads regularly. Superb. Going on a road trip round there in a couple of weeks with some mates in Alfas
Scottlands roads look fantastic !
You know I watch most of your vids, but really enjoyed this one...nice one
I get what you mean about loving the RS on those roads, I have had a Focus ST for 8 years and really don't want to part with it, a road trip to Scotland is in order I think! Those roads look great fun

Great blog...next time up, especially focus. Do the dukes pass....amazing road between Calendar and Aberfoyle....used to take my impreza over it regularly...you'll see
Great video Tim, just you and the car. My RS should turn up in January (8 months early!) and i'm looking forward to doing a trip to Scotland in it too. Keep the updates coming!

In the coming months...
Shmee150 is Focus RS exhaust factory or modified? It sounds wonderful!
+Faizul Adlan Anuar factory setup. on sport mode
A nice ending video to the tour. Pretty calm and madness-free. You should take a break from TH-cam for a few days after this, just to catch your breath a little. You deserve it!
You should make a point of heading to the far north of Scotland when you get the chance Shmee, plenty of great and quiet roads!!
Take your focus to Germany and visit jp :D
And meet Hildegard :p
Snowcrash Son yeees exactly :)
Shmee this has been the best content out of all my subs for the last couple months! I hope you''re able to do this sort of thing again with the Ford GT in the States next year! Would be epic! Keep up the vids man!
In the winter you should drive up Glencoe and go skiing at Nevis Range there's some amazing off piste skiing
Your Focus RS must do so many miles! I've seen it next to my work in St Andrews and twice in Dundee.
Finally your own bed :P
have a good rest Shmee.
You would love the roads in South Wales near the Brecon Beacons! They cut through the mountains, top gear have been there before!
I Love the 2017 Ford Focus RS
Its one of my favourites car
A great review shmee. A couple of quick qns:
1. how do you afford all your cars?
2. what did you do as in work prior to being a TH-camr?
Hi shmee, another great video.I live in Aberdeenshire.I wish i was in the cairngorms with my drone when you was there, that would of looked amazing on such a beautiful day.
cool road shmee! i wish i could drive there!
I cant figure out where in Glenshee you took the photo for the thumbnail preview of your video?
You should have kept going on before turning back towards glenshee, many more amazing roads were ahead!
I did not have enough time to drive them all.
Many more amazing roads ahead!
those roads are on my doorstep.... you need to drive the A939 over to Nairn ( just don't go in there it's full of traffic lights lol) also the NC 500 is awesome I hope to do it again next year....
Amazing amazing amazing road!! Just like a lot of the ones we have here in Brazil...
Which seats are more comfortable? The standard ones or the ones in this video?
You passed my old house at around the 5:30 mark. Some of those sode roads are even better but definitely not for supercars. A word of advice - the Glenshee road is liable to closure once the snow comes. You have been warned.
Glen Shee is great fun. Tight on the south side, fassttt on the north side
When you drive the 500 you must drive via and eat at kylesku. When I did it in the caterham, it's the best stretch of road ive ever driven and the food at the hotel superb. Enjoy.
Best roads up here is applecross to ullapool absolutely brilliant with stunning views a must do
Also last year done the Isle of Skye right around the island
Tim, go to cheddar gorge. You would love it. The top looks similar to the roads in this video but the lower sections are much more technical and very fun
Hey Tim, I just got a Sony Actioncam just like the one you have and just wanted to ask what windshield mount you use. The image is very stable!
These roads are amazing 😍😍😍
Where are you there? At GlamShmee...? :P
You should try the road up to Loch Lomond and then up to glen coe! Fantastic road and great place to be! 👍
Tim, Edinburgh to Moffat scenic route, its such a good road and takes you to M74 south. The views are fab! And the road ain't too shabby either.
Went to Scotland in my Impreza, and it was really lovely. :D
Shmee when should we see a video of the vantage gt8 spec that you have chosen?
I feel like you spend more time outside of London and in your cars than in London. I don't know how you do it. The planing and everything.
Scotland looks great
I can't decide on the focus rs or the a 45 amg have you tested both cars ?
been along the glenshee road lot would say from my experience in summer there is a lot of motorbikes and a lot of crashes on the road as it gets very busy
Last time i saw the Mini it had broken down, what was the issue?
These are the Winter tyres available for the RS as an option in North America but also available from Michelin in the UK
"Ford will sell a winter wheel and tire package as an option for $1,995 on the Focus RS. It includes 225/40R18 Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 tires wrapped around 18- by 7.5-inch wheels."
Are you able to give some details of the Scotish roads?
What phone do u have grate vid update btw how much does the transferring of cars cost?
@Shmee150 do you have a link on Google Maps to the same road Clarkson drove on in the F12?
Need to do some filming down in the west country!
When you going to drive mid and north wales or the Brecon Beacons?
NC500 is great! You'll enjoy it. Went around it in Tesla Model S 90D. A lot of fun.

What is the average cost to fill the car up with fuel?
you are seriously making me want the rs! you should came to Greece and try out some of the roads here! they are perfect for the gt4 and the rs! keep up the good content! cheers :)
Φέτος που είναι το Gumball θα έρθει.
Shmee, how often do you shave?
Being serious - how comfortable do you find seating position in this Ford? Isn't it too high?
Is Focus RS exhaust factory or been modified? It sounds wonderful!
Factory
passing thru grantown by any chance?
you were in Dundee. damn well lucky that your car made it out in one piece.
Stay in your lane is the safer thing to do. The danger is in getting used to do that and then do it more and more when visibility isn’t that good.
Passed you at Kinross 😀 RS looked good.
28k in 24h.. doesn't look like I'm the only one bored of cheesy shmee
when are you coming to Australia?
A) How do you not have a drone with you? B) Next time you're up in Scotland you need to make a stop in Tomintoul. The best distillery experience.
when are you getting Ford gt?
Unknown, Ford has not shared any information yet.
would you consider getting your Ford GT in the same colour as your RS?
Hey Shmee, you ever thought about getting a Mitsubishi Evo Final Edition? It's a pretty special car and it'll be a future collectors car so I think it will be a great investment.
Nope not really, not my kind of car.

New phone Shmee? I thought you used a Sony
The Sony Xperia is my backup phone. The Samsung is a new phone I am using a few months now.
ah gotcha, would you recommend the Samsung?
I guess the answer would be Yes if you want a phone which happened to be a bomb at the same time.
Can you/someone link me the video where he wrapped the roof please? I can't find it anywhere on his channel
