The "Double-Trouble-Two" was stationed in Switzerland for some years and was demonstrated by Max Vogelsang at many airshows also in Germany. Thus began my enthusiasm for this beautiful aircraft

One of the very best short aviation videos ever made. I'm sure I've seen this clip a hundred times now. Congrats - make more, please!

Beautiful machine, Packard (license built RR Merlin) Designed by a German immigrant called Walter Schmued (Sp?)to a British specification and NA did a great job in getting it from inception to flight in about 180 days, so credit to those guys too.

Hey Jim (if this is really you), Julian 'SkyHawk' Tirazona from the Virtual Horsemen here.
Thanks for uploading this awesome video, I never get tired of watching the Horsemen Cometh videos. Hope you're doing well. I am currently studying in Japan, will be back in my home country in August. It's a pity you left the Horsemen team, but I am sure you had your own good reasons. If and only if you can and have time, upload some other Horsemen cometh videos, would love to watch them all over again :)

I never got to fly the Mustang but it was described to be an AT-6 on steroids. I have a fair amount of time in the AT-6 (even owned one at one time) and can only imagine what flying the Mustang would be like.

"It just screams America." Except you know, its British Merlin engine that made the plane successful.

I like the video but thought the last part was missing a few Red Tails. They help make this plane famous. that and the British Merlin engine.

...represents america ingenuity and american know how blabla america...some1 should tell this guy that Edgar Schmued, chief designer of p-51 was austrian/german and moved to the US at the age of 31.
Just for the books, don´t want to start a nazi discussion, but this kind of unreflected american self-adulation is in my eyes the reason for US´s bad reputation around the globe, ...eehhm and the bombs that US drops on other countries every 10 years;-)
    Anyhow, nice plane, nice vid
