I have a 461 in like-new condition. It kicks back so SEVERELY I can no longer start it. The harder I pull it, the worse it is. I had it to two dealers and they could not fix it. One said it was fine. The other said the timing was off and "it's fine now". Well, NO. I checked the flywheel for slippage and it seems fine. Today, I changed the ignition module and gapped it with the Stihl .020 tool. Still doing it. I'm no pro, but I have 12 chain (including 2 model 361s) saws and this the only one that does this.
Just me but I couldnt send my saw to Donny if someone else already modified it. However maybe it was purchesed that way and now wants Donny to become it primary care mechanic.
I've worked on a few saws done by other builders. Silly to box up a saw and ship it somewhere for a broken switch wire or fuel solenoid when someone local can do it. I've also acquired a few new customers by working on their already ported saws for them. Part of the game
If you'd pull your work bench out where you could see the camera, we could see what you're doing instead of just seeing your back. Just a thought.
Loved watching your process, Donny!👍👍👍
Thank you for sharing, awesome video!

Sure that it wasn't the clutch drum "tinklin" when at idle Donny?
Either that or the muffler bearings are rattling! LOL
Good work bud
Hello Donny!!!
Maybe it’s “tinnitus”. Just a random thought.
😊
😎😎😎👍👍👍
What maximum length Bar / chain setup can I go with for my ms362c?
28” .50 3/8. If it’s not enough oil for the bar install a 460 oiler unit $90
I could watch this all day long.
