I Was KROQ,s First VAN DRIVER . AKA GO-FER -- AKA REQUEST TAKER -- AKA UNPAID INTERN for about two years when KROQ was in Pasadena .
That was when Jed The Fish worked days and the poor man was just starting his career . I was on call during the day . Driving DJs to Concerts or Grand openings at record stores all over the L.A. Area , Taking Rodney over to Poo Bah's Records to look for something special, All Vinyl . And on weekends my job was with Rodney at night , Taking Requests and making sure he had enough TAB and Veggie Pizza on hand. The Logo on my VAN at that time , KROQ FM Turning 106.7 UP. It was a Baby Blue 1978 Dodge Van . All later KROQ Vans were little Mini Vans.
CHERISH EVERY DAY PEOPLE. You can not get them BACK!

Brian was so entranced that he listened to the song on repeat for 30 minutes. Years later, in 1973, Brian ran into Harry Nilsson at a party. They got to talking about this very song. Brian sat the piano and played it from memory.

He could have re-written parts of it when he produced it, so it’s not necessarily a lie. Spector actually didn’t take songwriting credits for songs he didn’t write. Jeff Barry said it was a true collaboration and so did Doc Pomus and Leonard Cohen.

tnt show (11/65) years ago and it was a real rocker. The modern folk quartet still performs this number and henry diltz sounds has good as ever.
