Although the ERX has been a disappointment, think of all the engineering that went into it. Between patents and other solutions, Hyllion could enter into some valuable and lucrative partnerships. Also they are in a solid cash position meaning that competitors cannot pick from the remains of a bankrupt company. I do not think Hyllion will be a first name like Tesla but a strong supporting role is still possible.

Yep, what gets a lot of folks is that even from day Hyliion one said their ultimate aim wasn't to build tractors but be a supplier to existing manufacturers. Then got a little caught up with making their own tractors but they need to go back to just selling their system to someone like Cummins and offer software and update support over the long run, almost like in a consulting role. They will make quite a bit of money that way and leave the parts acquisition to the big guns like Kenworth and Cummins. The ERX concept works and works well.

Thanks for producing this series of videos. I onw 50K HYLN shares. However, I simply don't believe there is any chance of a partnership based around an OEM like you have suggested. Could Peterbilt or Mack or another OEM take it over...maybe...but I think Hyliion would be out of it completely. The more likely option is based around Cummins. However, they would almost certainly cut-out Hyliion. Cummins spent US$3B buying Meritor, and Hyliion is values at about $0.11B. To make something like this work Cummins wouldn't piss around with Hyliion. They would simply take over the ERX. They could get all the IP Hyliion has and fully leverage Meritor, and their own CNG engines and all the regulatory certification work they already have to do.
To give this the best opportunity to be viable I think they would want to offer it to customers using any of the OEMs. Also, I think Cummins making this commitment would be key to getting it onto the OEMs production lines, which will be another important step to make it commercially viable.
I don't think a partnership is really possible, but that still leaves HYLN with a share price of approx. $0.60, cash worth more than double that, plus all of their IP and development/testing work which has been done, plus KARNO.

Recently cummins, daimler, and paccar established a joint venture to produce lfp battery. Hyln is necessary for all the companies mentioned..Especially at a time when regulations on diesel engines are getting worse

Great video ! You suggestion is valid because both Cummins and Peterbilt have deep pockets.

Your reasoning makes a lot of sense. Either Cummins or Peterbilt would sell better than Hyliion, since their names are already known...

Speculation: Let the Cummins do the ERX and focus on KARNO...

@@dhr4242 I would go one step further and write a contract with Cummins to take care of the ERX software and updates, basically be a consulting firm for companies like Cummins to build hybrid systems for them. Cummins doesn't have to reinvent the wheel with the hybrid technology that works and works well in the ERX, and Hyliion doesn't have to worry about supply issues or taking a hit with the low volume of starting out as a manufacturing startup.

Your reasoning makes sense to me.Maybe it will make sense to Cummins and Hyliion as well. Or Peterbilt, although Cummins does sound like the more likely partner. What such a partnership will do for HYLN's current stockholders is an entirely different question. Will HYLN be giving away something in exchange for a life preserver? Probably so, but at least it won't go bankrupt. And there's going to be a massive overhang of bitter HYLN investors who will be selling into rallies even if there is good news on a partnership. There's going to be tough times ahead for the stock. And if there is no partnership deal maybe much worse times than right now.

Another good piece. What about the prospects of Tesla purchasing the rights to Karno. That company loves vertical integration and they would definitively benefit from this technology at their EV charging stations. They have the ability to scale this type of technology better than probably any other company. Part 7 or wishful thinking?

Tesla and hyliion are not at the same level, one is pluto, one is a supergiant star in universe.... hyliion is not even detectable under tesla radar right now..... besides, we have not even start commercializing Karno yet, there is no revenue.

They don't have anything to sell to Cummings. You highlighted their battery packs. They order their batteries and their modular assembly room is tiny like a kitchen never do volume what are they gonna do for Cummings? What ever they've done like putting batteries in a module or controling electric motor could be duplicated in a few weeks at cummings

Judging by the look of Accelera's business model and goal, Cummins might consider acquire Hyliion as a whole, not just the power train department. Cuz they might interested in stationary generator as well.

    Guys Listen please.
The reason why Hyliion fail, it’s not because of who makes the parts and how much does the parts cost.
    Its all about NO SALES!
Cummins and Hyliion has been collaborating since 2022, it’s not a news anymore.
Next question is do you think that will/did Cummins helps bring/have brought more trucks order to Hyliion?
    Definitely NO.
    Just look at Nikola!
Nikola and Hyliion in common are BOTH leak of order and no sales.
sad but that’s the fact! I lost so much from Hyliion too.

Nikola and Hyliion are two completely different animals, one makes an inferior BEV and a H2 truck that can't be fueled outside a very small area. Hyliion has a proven technology running freight right now with a fueling network already in place and just needs a manufacturing partner with strong ties with suppliers to bring down the startup costs. They can even go so far as to ditch the CNG and put a diesel back in it, they just won't be able to sell them in CA but everywhere else they will buy them. This was actually a smart move, and the proof is that GE and major institutional investors stayed in, while a lot of retail investors freaked out and sold because of news compounded with the bear market.
