Dyeing a Rainbow High doll body

- So I dyed Rosie the evening before my surgery, and did the voice over when I got home from surgery. I’ll try to make one going over how I redid her makeup once my big bandages come off, but for now hopefully this will help some. It’s not the greatest video I’ve ever done, but I tried really hard considering the timing lol.

Really amazing dyeing your shadow high rose redwood doll all red so adorable and fantastic
GREAT Attempt! ...please note that buffing would only help with Painting, not with dyeing. I will look for the final result!
I know this is going to be helpful for me! I have a special doll project I've been putting off for MONTHS
Also I hope your surgery goes well! Thank you for everything you do!
I’m so glad it’s useful! And thank you so much, the surgery went really well!
Wow that is a really good dye
Thanks for this tutorial! ❤ She turned out great
Thank you! I’m starting to do more tutorials in general because I find that they are most helpful for folks 🩷
Wow! !🎉 Very successful!! I was really interested to see this... I hope your surgery go so well and you mend nicely. ❤
It went well!!!! I can’t wait to get healed and make more dolls though lol
I know dollmotion she dyes bjd so shes able to dye even. I think she prep their body by sanding it
you've mentioned the risks of dyemore and staining, is that just when dyeing clothes? have dolls you've dyed stained their clothes or has it not been an issue?
The staining happens with clothes as well. I had a pair of Kia shorts that stained one of my Bella’s really badly, same with shoes. Dyemore just isn’t great, but I think if there’s a Dyemore color you really want, maybe use the Rit Color Stay at the same time as dyeing. I only recently found out about it so I can’t say for sure that it’ll work, but it seems like it would give a better chance. Definitely rinse til waters clear and then make sure it’s fully dry before putting on a doll either way though.
@@DarlingsDollhouseI wonder if a Mr super clear or latex varnish would help
Have you tried this with idye poly?
Not yet, but it’s definitely a goal soon!
Omg thank you for this video!!! I’ve been wanting to try dying one yellow to make marge Simpson
That sounds amazing!!! I’d love to see her!
Thank you for showing this!
I hope it comes in handy for other folks looking to do the same 🩷
you could try match a sharpie or alcohol marker color and color the knee and hip joints
I just worry it would eventually stain clothing
@@DarlingsDollhouse oh right.sometimes it happens
I suggest leaving it on for a few days and maybe cleaning it with just soap and water or even alcohol but that might take away some color
maybe if you repeat it a few times it will stain that type of plastic
Can you try yellow next
If I end up with a spare doll I’d be happy to!
