The trick is that any live action super hero movie is mediocre at best. Animated/cartoon animation is the only way to make a good film/story. Steppenwolf's motivation was literally that he just wanted to see his family again. That alone makes him infinitely more interesting than the original version.
Ray Fisher did all that work in the gym then got 90% covered in CG. There was a Teen Titans episode where he put on 2 rings and it made him look like he did before his body was damaged.
90% might be an exaggeration. There are the flashback scenes and the parts in which he's inside virtual reality without his cybernetics, all of which are of considerable length.

Those flashbacks he was mostly in a letterman's jacket if I recall (I haven't seen the movie in a while though); he didn't get a scene to show off like Cavill and Affleck did! I don't like how when he's on the operating table he was mostly a head and chest. In the comics he was an amputee from the elbows and knees down, but still has most of his body. Even in the Teen Titans cartoon I was under the impression he has shoulders, thighs, and a torso, and that some of the metal is armor and it's not all replacement for flesh, etc.
Like the biggest change from the Josstice League's finale to the Snyder Cut is how everyone is crucial in getting the victory. They all participate, not just Superman. The lack of honesty from honest trailers is disappointing...

I definitely like this version more then the theatrical release. The theatrical release felt empty when I first watched it, and the amount of times the villain called the boxes mother was jarring.

Ray Fisher did all that work in the gym then got 90% covered in CG.
There was a Teen Titans episode where he put on 2 rings and it made him look like he did before his body was damaged.
90% might be an exaggeration. There are the flashback scenes and the parts in which he's inside virtual reality without his cybernetics, all of which are of considerable length.

I don't like how when he's on the operating table he was mostly a head and chest. In the comics he was an amputee from the elbows and knees down, but still has most of his body. Even in the Teen Titans cartoon I was under the impression he has shoulders, thighs, and a torso, and that some of the metal is armor and it's not all replacement for flesh, etc.
Met the new Steppenwolf. His armor is awesome but his face is adorable. I never thought I would say that.
