Tim you are a great source of knowledge. My dealership never knows anything about my Maverick order and they marked it up by $2000! I am seriously thinking of buying my next ford from you. I live in Northern California. Jesse
Thank you for this info. I emailed my dealership today and they told me it's $500 for dealer fee and $500 deposit at time of order. The person I emailed hasn't been told whether or not they are doing MSRP or pricing over that. But they're going to find out and let me know.
Any dealer marking up ANY ordered vehicle should be stripped of their selling ability. I'm looking forward to getting a lightning and never having to go to a dealer again. Let's create a blacklist for any dealer attempting to steal so much as single penny off of a customer's car. Dealerships are in for a very rude awakening. Neither Ford, nor the customers are going to put up with. Personally I'd like to deal with Ford directly and pick it up at a designated delivery site. No middlemen.
Tim - Made a reservation first day, but the dealership (McDavid Ford, FT. Worth, Tx) has been silent since the first day. Reached out two weeks ago and got a couple of "Form letter" email replies. I am thinking about changing dealers. 🤔 I'm going to do some research on the Forums, which are the most active? - Chris
I was told from Ford that you're buying directly for the F150 Lightning from Ford so prices are with Ford and not through dealers to prevent the markup.
Not true otherwise why would Ford tell dealers to have their prices updated in their system and why we are earning allocations based on Ford and F-150 sales.
Great info thank you! I qualify for A-Plan pricing. Do I need my A-Plan pin when I order or when it's delivered? Also anything to watch out for with a dealership when using A-Plan for lightning?
I have a reservation that I placed on September 22 if I switch dealerships will I lose my spot in line and fall back at the end of the line at the new dealership.
Tim, for the Lightning, will the Deposit amount that LMC collects be refundable if for some reason the Buyer decides to not complete the purchase of the vehicle?
When does one get the confirmation email similar to your expedition order? My local dealer said he submitted my maverick order one week ago after I emailed him my drivers license copy and signed order form but I have not received that confirmation email from Ford.
How long does it take Ford to turn your reservation into order? I reserved mine last week but if they don’t give me the price I want I hope you guys can help me out
At this point Ford is taking reservations and have not given a date when we will be converting reservations to orders. Some think it will be December. You should get an email from Ford when it is time for you to go to your dealer to convert your reservation. They are doing it in waves by your reservation date. Reservations opened up in May. I think there were 150,000 reservations by October.
My dealer hasn't reached out to me yet, only once when i first reserved the lightning. I was reading on the Ford 150 Lightning forum that my dealer in NY (Long island) is charging a mark up, but on the forum they showing another dealer that isn't charging above MSRP. That dealer is only 17 miles away from me, should i switch dealers? Or should i call my local dealer and see what they say?
I would highly highly doubt you would be able to do this. Ford uses permanent magnet motors, so if they are spinning they are either taking power from the battery, or generating power and sending it into the system.
No, we would need to order yours with drop shipment to a dealer in Hawaii. We have achieved this on many Ford Maverick customers. We would need to call dealers on your island and see what the cost is for that and cover the first $1000 of it if you finance with us.
Personally I will never buy a Ford EV. I think Ford made some nice features on this truck and I'm very pleased they are making an electric truck. However, way late. Ford is one of the companies who has knowingly chosen profits over making any serious efforts to do their part to curb climate change. Climate change has been in the eye of the mainstream public for almost 2 decades now. And they have been choosing to sell vehicle which are unreliable, overly complex (full of parts) and polluting, just so they could take your dollars to the bank. They have treated you like a sucker. Fortunately new EV startups value quality in there products and aim to build cars which require little service and hold up a lifetime.
With respect, I own a Model Y and I think you could not be further off the mark. Tesla has not included inverters in any of their products to protect their powerwall product line. Ford will be the first EV manufacturer to actually let the customer use their giant battery as they see fit, which is a big deal. Both of our Tesla's have been great cars but they have really poor build quality and nonexistent customer service. Anyone rooting against Ford here is hurting the cause.
AGW is a hoax and anyone telling you otherwise has been paid to do so. Look at the data yourself. Every single politician conning you with that nonsense have all bought beachfront homes.
what BS 'EV Certified'. lol. Makes me not want a Ford when I see crap like that. Just train your employees as you normally do. Its just a way to restrict access to drive up cost.
This video is proof why the Tesla and Rivian direct sales model is the future. The price you see is what you get. No surprises or dealer fees.

Good video. Nice to know I have a safety net for an MSRP order if my local dealer doesn't want to play ball.
@mdbbox can you further explain?
Thanks for this info. Wished this video was available earlier. It was really hard to find a local dealer who won’t charge a mark up.
This video is amazing Tim! Thank you for making this!

Question on 2022 Raptor ordering
When does financing begin? When you take possession?
When you take possession
Is Ford going to give a delivery date when you place the order?

Long McArthur Ford
I just found out my company gets X plan pricing. Do you think I will be able to get a better price than MSRP?
Tim I reservation my F-150 lightning but dealership doesn't know nothing about EV how can I transfer to McArthur Ford Salina Kansas

@@longmcarthurford this is for the lightning electric only, not for other cars was what they said.
@@dmnguye69 orders will be taken by dealers, just like the Mach-E all electric vehicle.
@@dmnguye69 The Ford FAQ says you buy from your dealer, not directly. You only buy directly from Tesla and Rivian
Could you add information about the available tax credits and what models will meet the criteria…….
Great info thank you! I qualify for A-Plan pricing. Do I need my A-Plan pin when I order or when it's delivered? Also anything to watch out for with a dealership when using A-Plan for lightning?
At the time of delivery. I will say if you are doing A-plan with us, we can't provide free shipping. Wanted to let you know.
I have a reservation that I placed on September 22 if I switch dealerships will I lose my spot in line and fall back at the end of the line at the new dealership.
No, you keep your spot nationally. It might affect your order depending on where you would be for the new dealership.
HEY TIM , WHEN CAN WE ORDER THE LIGHTNING , SINCE THE DATE WAS PUSHED BACK ? AND THANKS FOR THE VIDEO !
Great video!! Real helpful. Any updates on adxz pricing?
ADZ plan yes, X plan no
Tim, for the Lightning, will the Deposit amount that LMC collects be refundable if for some reason the Buyer decides to not complete the purchase of the vehicle?
Yes. Ford is refunding this fee.
@@Isildur58 he’s asking about Long McArthur $500 deposit, not Ford’s $100 refundable deposit.
Need details on payload and towing by trim/options...and anything specific to lightning with trim levels vs standard f150?
2:49 - Next Summer? Ford website is still saying Spring 2022. Did it get delayed?
I think it says ordering in Spring 2022, delivery start in Summer 2022.
Will you offer free shipping for the Lightning too like for the maverick?
When does one get the confirmation email similar to your expedition order? My local dealer said he submitted my maverick order one week ago after I emailed him my drivers license copy and signed order form but I have not received that confirmation email from Ford.
Are the deposits refundable? If a vehicle comes in and there's some issue with it are you out the deposit if you don't take delivery on it?

Let's a get a black list going on for stealerships -- they're not needed and hopefully they'll be the first to fold.
Hello at what point would I goto my bank for financing? Will Ford credit offer a rebate?
We don't know what incentive there will be on the Lightning yet. Financing usually happens once the truck arrives at the dealer.
Great info! Thanks Tim. Excited to place my order!
Do you know if the Lightning can be towed 4 down behind a Motorhome? I know the earlier 150 could. Thanks for the great videos.
I would highly highly doubt you would be able to do this. Ford uses permanent magnet motors, so if they are spinning they are either taking power from the battery, or generating power and sending it into the system.
If I put 500$ deposit on the f150 lighting. And decide to not take delivery. Do u get 50p back?
I never got any emails ford for my order never got the tracking number. The dealer said for is horrible at sending emails to customers
Can the lighting be flat towed??
I haven't seen any information on that yet.
I just have a question. Does it come with 6.5’ bed ?
Should be 5.5'
Bottom line... There are Dealerships... And then, there are "Stealerships"... 'Nuff said!!!...
Hi Tim, I am in NY and I asked your sales person and they told me the shipping is not fee and it is $1.20/mile. Is that true?
We do free shipping with financing, just mention you saw this video on TH-cam.
Do you ship for free to Hawaii?
No, we would need to order yours with drop shipment to a dealer in Hawaii. We have achieved this on many Ford Maverick customers. We would need to call dealers on your island and see what the cost is for that and cover the first $1000 of it if you finance with us.
$100 doc fee and $100 deposit , that is all I will pay plus MSRP and Tax. , never asked for $500 or $1000
Wow ancient process compared to Tesla 🤣
Need to get rid of dealers, go to standard pricing and direct order like Tesla. I'll wait for Cybertruck but glad ford is in the EV game.
Elon keeps raising prices just like ADMs; he just raised one of the models from $50K to $59K just like that...
When will the builder be available?
I heard we might find out dates this week. Can't remember the source.

Tim, can I get your email I have a earlier reservation I’m from CA, thanks.

We sell all custom builds at MSRP, stock units at market value or below.
