My high school English teacher was also my drama club advisor. We had to recite a poem from memory as part of our midterm. We could pick any poem from a British writer but if we had trouble finding one, we could use any poem from our class textbook. One of the poems in the textbook was Sonnet 130 by Shakespeare. I had performed Sonnet 130 for our school's Shakespeare festival for 3 years at that point so I had it easily memorized. I asked the teacher if anything in the textbook was fair to use for everyone. Teacher said Yes. I handed him the textbook open to the page, recited Sonnet 130, and took the easiest A of my life.

As a kid, I was honestly pretty lonely and played the Wii all the time. Wii party in particular was one of my favorite games, but there was one mini game that I always struggled with. It was a maze mini game where you would get spun and become dizzy which would make your controls different. I was frustrated for the longest until one day I was playing with my older brother (who is 13 years older than me) and I watched him flip the actual remote around to make the controls right depending on how it was flipped. Ever since my discovery, I have always won that game against any people I play with to this day. It’s been over ten years and it still makes me feel like a genius. Thanks bro

On story 21, it’s coupon abuse like that is why you can’t have more then one discount offer per item, per visit at most grocery stores anymore. Stores we’re getting robbed blind.

I worked at a movie theater for four years but *_Cinemark Theaters have a tear tab on the bucket to determine if you got your refill_*
If you wanna get past that, say that you accidentally tore the tab off earlier and mentioned it to another employee behind the counter.

Don't really know if this counts, but when i was in 3rd grade my spanish teacher (being in a spanish speaking country) made an assignment of writing a list of vocabulary on a caligraphy sheet. The catch was that she told us to do it in a single page cause she didnt want that many pages. She wouldn't let me go to recess till I wrote that thing. I spent half of my recess time with that till a kid came to me and told me to just wright outside if the caligraphy lines and writting small enough for two lines per actual line. I got my recess and to the day I still remember that kid as the life saver he was. Hector you are the best.

I agree about plain water after a workout. My preference is room temperature water, maybe half room temp/half refrigerated. Flavored or sweet beverages are for after the cool down.

    On Story 9:
My English teacher in senior year would give us writing assignments every week where he challenged us to write about a page short story or anything really (but I always chose short-story fiction because it's my favorite thing to write) and use a set of ten vocabulary words in text. For one of these assignments, I ended up writing a summary of the hero in Dragon Quest Eleven's meeting with every character in the game because I had been playing a bunch of it and it was the only thing I could think of. He complimented me on my creativity. I did not have the heart to tell him the truth.

If you're broke enough, food is food. Even hotdogs vaguely qualify as food. I mean, at least you're not hungry after eating them.

I failed World History in Highschool SOLELY bc I missed too many days. My grades were fine. (70-80 bc missing hw but 80-100 test scores)
So I kept my work and had the answers to some of the tests. And I'm pro the people, so ofc I shared whatever work I had from the days I did show up with the other students.
If you're gonna make me retake tests I already passed, I'm gonna share the wealth with these freshman 🤷

2:15 i have this game on my phone called came sort. You have a grid of plates and different cakes and you put two of the same cake slices next to eachother and if you make a full cake you clear thst cake to make room for more cakes. I’ve found it every single spot has a cake and you get the gsme over screen then all you have to do is wait for the new high score screen then refresh the app without clicking try again you get to keep Al the fakes you unlocked and your score but then the board is clear
Tldr you can refresh ‘cake sort’ game on the game over screen for a new game but the same score.
There’s this rope sort game I have where you have tied up ropes and you have to untangle them by mining the ends to different pegs. And on hard levels theres a move limit. You can bypass that limit in two ways. One. If you take one end of a rope and then put it back I. The same spot it doesn’t count as a move cuz you put it back in the same spot. You csn do it rapidly and move a rope to the side so it’s not tangled with the rope you grabbed. And you can take a rope and stretch it to its limit then the game takes it back to its original spot. If you do this enough then you csn pull the ropes through eachother and untangle them without moving spaces.
Tldr you can save moves in the ‘twisted tengle’ game by pulling a rope to its limit to pull it through another rope and then let it go back to its original spot without placing it in a new spot.

10:30 i am a really good test taker, always have been but especially in this digital era where i can ctrl+f the book that the teacher based the test on. I remember one class where there was one kid who was very active and heavy in participation in class. He would actively ask questions, study, do homework - generally speaking he was a good student. Meanwhile i would skip half the class to play with cnc machines and computers in the lab nearby and when i was in class i would be playing quake or kerbal space program. When test time would come around we would get similar scores, usually he was a little higher but its basically the difference of getting one or two questions wrong between us. Generally we were usually the two highest scorers in class. This is not to say i didnt absorb anything, i was usually the "savant" making new circuits for the lab in the class as i had i high inclination towards it due to past microcontroller programming experience which is relatively similar, at least in my head (it was a class on relay logic and whatnot)

Vending hacks. There was a place that had a gumball machine vending fiah food pellets to feed fish in the adjacent river. The more food people threw in, the more the fish went nuts. They sold a LOT of these food pellets. But you could just wiggle the coin handle and it would roll backward and dump the food pellets, no money needed. That machine got ROBBED. The fish got FAT.

I was playing one of the Sim City games and was tasked with dealing with the cities traffic problems. I bulldozed damn near the whole city and beat that particular mission.
Also there was a time in High School where the Hockey team was playing and if you bought a ticket you could get out of class early to watch the game. All you had to do was show your ticket. I had a ticket but my friend did not. I presented the ticket and then gave it to my buddy so he could present the same ticket so we both could have the afternoon off.

I absolutely hate water unless it's as close to frozen as it can get and still be liquid. So I usually use mios, but I've noticed over the years I use a lot less of the flavoring. I wish I enjoyed water plain, but I just don't lol

So, the Mainly Facts guy both is and isn't out of his mind. First of all, ordinary water with just ice cubes in it is my favorite workout drink as well, but things like Gatorade are loaded with both carbohydrates (the sweet that you taste) as well as all kinds of electrolytes. The idea is that while consuming the drink itself is having a cooling effect on the core of the human body, the chemical content is replenishing the calories burned in the workout as well as the electrolyte components that are being sweated out by the body's own internal cooling system, as that sweat has various salts in it, raising its boiling point and drastically increasing the amount of body heat needed to get it to evaporate, correspondingly increasing the amount of cooling provided by each drop of sweat. Plus, not every place has the highest quality tap water, and adding flavorings like CrystalLight drink flavoring powder can mask a slightly foul taste in the raw water if there isn't a good filter in line to purify the water before someone drinks it. Mainly Facts guy, you should know that as a resident of Minnesota, you're probably drinking mostly water from mountain springs when you take a big gulp straight from your bathroom faucet, but people living in a big city like Los Angeles or New York have to put up with all kinds of gross tasting additives meant to sanitize the drinking water like iodine or chlorine, and filtration or flavoring additions can help with that considerably.
