I had a toxic ex threatening to kill himself and he held it against me for months after we broke up. He still just doesn't realize how awful and serious threats or suicide are.
Always always always, call the authorities for those. If you're in America those ambulance and bills will definitely change your mind
@@mztweety1374 I did and that's part of why he held it against me. Unfortunately they just sent a cop over and he said he was feeling okay so there was nothing he could do. But at least they had it on record, unfortunately it didn't change much and he never sought help either.

Oh my god YES to the bit about involving the authorities when someone is sending you suicide threats as a guilt trip, that's the advice I always give.
For example: If someone gives you the ultimatum of "if you leave this relationship I'll kill myself" you can fire back with
_"I'm sorry to hear you've made that decision, and I can call an ambulance for you if youd like, but I am still breaking up with you."_
I've worked for the police before (UK) and honestly? Call the cops - we really don't mind. If they're telling the truth, we're better prepared to wrestle a knife out their hands or drive them to the hospital at speed. If they're lying - oho, if they're lying then there's nothing like the look on a little shit's face when he expected his bluff to get his HS gf back and instead we're knocking on his door and speaking to his parents. Saw many a manipulative jackass turn ghost white when we were speaking to their dads at the door.
Here's one that an ex said to me, when previous pleading failed: "Please, I'm desperate!"
"Im so sorry I tried to hit you with a car. Please you know I would never hurt you I was just angry." He said the day after he nearly hit me and my best friend with his car.
My ex pulled the “if you leave I’ll off myself” line as well. He told me he’d taken a bunch of pills, so I messaged his best friend to do a wellness check on him because we were long distance and there was nothing else I could do. Keep in mind, my ex KNEW My bff had offed herself that way only 2 years prior. Heck, I still miss her to this day and it’s been 7 years now. Anyway, he messaged me not long after calling me a witch with a capital B. Said “god it’s like you don’t even care about me!” I blocked him after that. God that made me so angry
Had a psycho ex (I was 16, she was 21). I was religious, she was not. She tried to tell me that since she REPENTED, I had to forgive her! I pointed out that didn't mean I had to take her back. I wouldn't even be friends with her. If I hadn't moved, she woulda still showed up every now and then (my old neighbors told me she showed up)

I was with the same guy on and off all four years of college
First time he broke up with me a couple weeks before his ex-fiancée came to visit. After she left, he spent most of the night texting all the ways I made a bad girlfriend and what I’d need to change to keep anyone. The conversation ended with “well, now that’s all out on the table maybe we should just try again.” I was 18 and he was my first everything, so I took him back.
The next time we broke up, he told me he had cancer. The story was sketch as f*k, but I never was able to prove he was lying. I brought him lunch at home every day after his “treatment” started. Eventually wound up falling into bed with him when I was having a low day.
Our final breakup was the only one I instigated. I accidentally stumbled upon evidence that he was at least TRYING to cheat on me. The gaslighting that ensued when I confronted him was so textbook it was downright disappointing. It was still hard to leave.
Months later, he heard I was dating again. Said he wasn’t doing well without me and that he’d bought a gun but it was the hope we’d figure things out that kept him from using it (on himself). In the next breath, he told me if he ever saw me and new boyfriend in public he would attack new boyfriend. Because he had a history of stalking me, I contacted his parents. They were aware he was unstable and already trying to get him help.
Didn’t run into him again until new boyfriend and I were out for our ten year wedding anniversary. It was my first time out of the house after giving birth to our third kid.
Ex boyfriend is even creepier in his mid-30s. He’s single with fur-children, just like he always wanted. I’m happy for him. It was a relief to see that we both ended up with what we wanted in the end.

You can always call the police on him during these outbursts, and they can take him to a psych ward or the nearest hospital for these threats, where he will be detained there for 48-72 hours. He will stop doing that.

Make sure you have records of the threat (text or voice recording) and call an ambulance EVERY time they try this. If they're for real, you've helped them. If not, you highlight to everyone what a drama queen they are

I sometimes hope that the toxic people get with other toxic people and they absolutely hate each other but stay together. I see it a lot actually that toxic people for some reason won't break up with a toxic person, so it ends up being karma. And it is beautiful to watch.

So story 6 I believe, I really don’t think the gf was totally in the wrong. It doesn’t matter if op had been friends with that girl for years. He was still going to watch a movie alone with a close female friend, in her house. It’s ok to not be ok with that imo.
"I've given up on love" a year after she told me she cheated on me and then broke up with me via FB Messenger. Apparently she's engaged now, with a guy who wasn't the guy she cheated on me with. (Tho that's old news, I don't know if that's still the case, but I don't care.)
But I ran into her family a few months after the breakup, they told her that she was an idiot for breaking up with me.
Side note: I haven't 'given up' on love, tho we split before Covid hit and I haven't dated since.
Story 2: That's messed up. I had Leukemia when I was little, and even though I don't remember having it, I know the effects. I was litterally a slip up away from dying. I know the impact it had on my family. To do that to someone just to get them back is disgusting.

(please keep in mind that i was 15 and she was 14) I was in a relationship where I was happy but just then randomly stopped liking the girl so i got depressed and suisidal because I felt stuck and didnt want to hurt her because I still cared about her. Eventually one of my freinds convinced me to break up with her and I did. She then went on a rant on how she always loses the people she cares about and trying to guilt trip me. I am esily manipulated and she knew that. Then i regreted it because I didnt want to be single (but I didnt want her back i wanted to be in a relationship plus I did miss it I know it was wrong and i wish i never did it) then she told me how she was never happy with me and bassicaly evrything that couldve went wrong with me did go wrong. She told me dozens of different things she liked me hated me wanted me back wanted me to kill myslef over the next few weeks when I would talk about when we were together (not trying to get back together)I tried to gert her back one more time (a month later when i actually wanted her back) and she said no but respectfully. Fast forward a few weeks and I told her more in depth about why I broke up with her and she said that she wasnt even hurt when I broke up with her and she was happy. I was so hurt and confused I knoiw that I wasnt in the right to do that but I dont think she was in the right either. Im over her now but now I'm scared to date again because she made me think Im terible at relationships. When we were together she always wanted to talk and always sounded so happy. we wernt perfect but she was definitly happy. Crazy how a relationship can change peoopl. Am i a bad person?
I now feel extremely grateful that I'm on good terms with my ex-partners (we broke off because I really didn't know how to handle it emotionally at the time, something which I've aimed to improve)

I don´t like the people who pray: "Forgive them for your own sake." I grew up like this, constantly forgiving my abusers, so they could come back into my life and continue. The endless circle. I realized, that only toxic people demand forgiveness and frame it like you do something for yourself with that, like being the bigger person and such. No one will give you an award for this, you are not the better one. I don´t have to forgive to live a happy life. I can totally acknowledge what these people have done to me, remember it and being angry about it and living a happy life. Being angry is healthy, it is a very important part of the grieving process. I was told to never being angry, to forgive and I became a very sad person, stuck in my own sadness. Therapy taught me to acknowledge my anger as a very important and normal reaction to mistreatment. It is such a valid and important feeling that gives you strenght to go on with your life in a healthy way. You don´t ever have to forgive anyone just because you get talked into forgiveness. And being angry does not mean you have to act destructive, anger is a process that showes you something is wrong and gives you strenght into your life.
I have two stories, they both affect me. The one I will talk about the one involving my friends who are in a relationship still. I will just refer them to there online names Alin, and Aryn. Alin has autism, while Ayrn is introvert who will attach to one person and always want to be with them. At one point they broke up. Aryn did not take if well and tried self termination, thankfully another friend and I talked her out of it. Alin realized that Aryn was needed to attach to someone.

It was originally a second channel for the Mainly Facts guy, but about a month ago he needed to take a break due to problems with his throat, he got guest creators in to handle all of his channels. MMM long game one here, so hello I am almost 40. But do that magical mystical harp playing with wavy vision. Back in my later teens about 16 me and let's call her L.J a tomboy had a minor thing for about 4 years cut a head to 16 and she met someone else and said "yes this is the true love" I shrugged it off. I moved a year later from Scottsdale Arizona to port Aransas Texas full time. Managed to find me a proper partner, interests, Hobby's the whole two complete peas in the pod well I turned 25 and was at the local HEB in Aransas pass, and magically L.J was there not looking too good for wear. She asked how I was doing and I had honestly forgotten everything about her and asked where I knew her from. She then got rather annoyed at me asking this and finally said "you effing ... F slur against LGBT" over and over again until my daughter started to cry. I asked why are you scaring me and my daughter. Turns out she dumped me for a guy that then fell upon the magical crystal that is not tiberium. She fell with him and she finally got her head clear enough to find me again. But the magical just as dangerous as tiberium crystal people smoke had messed her brain up where emotions just ran out. I said I was leaving and she then shouted "no it's been over 12 years please we can make this work leave that ..s-word that's cheating on you for me!" She was crying and on her knees with her hands over her face. I had just left her in the past because I wasn't good enough now I have a good career and live on an island at the time she face book stalked me to that island. I would run into her off and on almost weekly crying then insulting me until I just snapped and handed her a bus ticket to San Antonio and said "never speak to me or my family again the past cannot be undone you made that bed here is a ticket to a new life. There is a shelter near by this stop." She took the train and then... Fast forward two years I start getting texts, derogatory ones calling that f word for not getting her pregnant and my kids should have been made by me and her. I blocked her and to this day if the area code is from San Antonio 210 I hang up to see what the voice mail will be, if it's short I will listen to it if it's over a minute I delete it.

Few years ago, I was in a long distance poly relationship on messenger. One of my partners, we’ll call Mochi. Mochi threatened to find my partners and kill them. I have autism and take things literally. I had never had this happen, and told my other partners. I fell for it and one of the partners, we’ll call Z cheated on me while the other, Vee told me they were bluffing/jealous. When I called them out on their shit, Mochi said I couldn’t leave. I told them if you cannot respect the people I love, we cannot be together.
I am currently working on myself, Z who cheated on me, I no longer speak to, Vee, I’m still friends with. We’re no longer together but we’re still friends who talk regularly. As for Mochi, they apologized and genuinely recognized they were wrong. We’re still friends, not as close as we used to be but still friends. I am also working on considering my own feelings and not just other people’s feelings.
Edit: thinking back to it it was four to five years ago, and I was still a teen. Young and dumb. If you’re wondering why the fuck I forgave them, I personally don’t know? I guess I was just hopeful things would get better. Also, there’s nothing wrong with setting boundaries for yourself or not always catering to other’s feelings. If a person truly loves you, they will respect your boundaries and consider your feelings.

Those terms are related to psychosis, not psychopathy. Your "crazy ex" is 99% of the time a psychopath or a narcissist, not someone with psychosis. Perpetuating this improper usage genuinely causes problems for those of us with psychosis, people assume our diagnosis means we're going to be like those people. Nah fam. I just don't know what's real sometimes.

Why? Let's just say I've had two friends go on and attempt to end their lives bcuz of crazy (ex-) SO's. Both were not believed by anyone except for me, and to my immeasureable annoyance and rage, one succeeded. I am no person to hold grudges, I'm mainly too lazy for that, but that one stuck with me so I started to, *cough,* kindly tell that person's now-'widow' to go ahead and remove herself from the lives of anyone I knew.
The other I found bleeding after having cut open the radialis on his right hand and just sitting there completely apathic, slowly running out of bl00d to spill on the kitchen floor. I was the one to apply first aid and effing get him to the closest hospital, but if I had been there five minutes later I'm sure it would've been too late
I'm sorry, I know the person in story one is young but constantly allowing them to talk to you and then even going out of your way to invite them back into social situations, that kind of makes you a drama chaser, in my opinion.
