  • This is the Ampeak 2000w 12v pure sine wave power inverter. This inverter is great for connecting to your car battery or solar setup to give you AC power up to 2000w. There are also USB ports for DC charging and a car lighter port. The display shows enough information to let you see the battery state and how much power is being pulled from the battery.

    I'll bet you any amount of money that you can't start and run a 2,000 Watt motor load with this lightweight high frequency inverter.

    Great Job Seth, you're always up to something interesting!

    I would guess the BMS in the battery probably kicked out rather than the inverter. Asking for over 160amps on a single 100Ah LiFePO4 battery is a lot with the BMS most of these battery units use. I have a slightly larger 3000 watt inverter that recommends using at least 3x 100Ah LiFePO4 batteries in parallel for full power output. So with a 2000 watt inverter 2 100Ah batteries would probably be a good recommendation.

      You nailed it! The battery gave out before the inverter could trigger an alarm. Luckily the battery was able to reset.

    Regarding washing machines... most will be an F-class motor. Multiply the running wattage by 5x to get the peak startup power draw.
    So say 850 X 5 = 4250w. Make sure the inverter has a at least a 4.5kwh peak draw to be safe.

    Interesting. I would have liked to see you test your light panel in a dark shop for flicker or not flicker for the camera, that was your best previous test for how "PURE" the sine wave output was without having an oscilloscope.

    Working properly? Far from it. Not sure why you are recommending. We deserve a more honest review.

      Yeah, I was thinking I must have been watching the wrong video.

      The issue was the battery. I ran it past the amp rating. The inverter worked today with a different battery.

      Turns out it was a battery issue.

      So the battery bms turn down the inverter?
      In this case the inability of inverter restart is logical.

      @LandtoHouse  ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly. I forgot that the battery was the limiting factor not the inverter.

    Why would you have to manually disconnect everything and not just push a reset button or switch? Looks like a pain in the rear to me.

    Hey Seth,
    Always enjoy your vids here and sethcraft. Looking forward to seeing the new shop finished. Hopefully you are not bald by then! Haha, I only said that in jest bro, hoping that makes you laugh, not frown.

      Thanks for watching! Haha looks like gray hair is my destination. With 1 sethcraft video a week the shop series will be done when I'm 75 years old.

      @LandtoHouse haha, yes going grey here too. If I were rich I'd probably try to offer help. The effort you put in is well noticed. Kids, wife, you tube, building, life, i don't know where you find the time! I was almost in tears watching that first micro hydro housing build (cabinet maker here) I so wanted to help.

      @@nic6754 Oh a cabinet maker watching that housing build... thats what caused your gray hair.

    What 12v battery are you using that can handle 2000W?

    • @jamess1787
      @jamess1787 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are lipo4 batteries that can handle 150-200A peak (lots on the market), above this fewer exist.

      This ampeak isn't a true (continuous) 2KW inverter, not sustained anyway. Will definitely let out the magic smoke with sustained 2KW draw.

    • @LandtoHouse
      @LandtoHouse  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Turns out this was the issue for causing the inverter to turn off. The battery did not like running that many amps.

    Will this run a rv refrigerator

    • @LandtoHouse
      @LandtoHouse  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      A typical 12v lifepo4 battery has a 100amp discharge. As long as your fridge is under 1200w you should be good.
