My voice has gotten so hoarse and it's getting really annoying dealing with it all the time when I try and socialize with people. I really hope I can get this fixed because it's actually exhausting to deal with pushing my words out and there still super stressed sounding and then it feels like I come across as unwell or uncomfortable to other people when in reality im just irritated that my voice isn't working. I don't know how to get this fixed. I feel like my doctor will just brush it off like it's not a big deal.

I have that problem too right now, I've had had it since 2017, it's so horrible... I can't even order anything at a restaurant, I can't speak clearly in phonecalls, I can't have normal conversations with my friends. and the worst thing was and is, presentations in class. I just started in high school, and the teachers want us to say A LOT out loud, and do many presentations in front of the whole class. I always panick but I manage to keep myself calm. I NEVER speak with my own will, I always just sit and listen, but we are really often being told to chat with the girl/buy who's sitting beside us to discuss about things we learn in the subjects. and when I need to chat to my group-partner, my voice f*cks so much up and she's always asking me to repeat and saying "what?" to me, and it's so awkward cuz I just CAN'T get a sound out almost all the time..... i'm so tired of this and today in class I was so close to cry.... this is so unfair. why do we have to go through this.. why does voice problems exist.. i'm so jealous of people who can talk loud and clearly.. I hate this.. :(((((

When I was a kid & young teenager my voice was raspy. Then, my voice got very deep and "sexy" throughout my early to mid twenties. After years of alcohol binges, cigarette smoking and singing along to my favorite heavy metal songs my voice got super raspy. Now i'm in my early 30s and it's still recovering.

@@Sizrt I feel you. It's pretty embarrassing especially when people point it out. lol I was watching a video with Steve O from jackass and his voice is notoriously raspy. He went to a vocal chord doctor and he's actually fine. The doctor said he need to "unlearn" to speak how he used to and practice on sounding more clear. He's been doing simple at home techniques (i assume). Good luck to you. Maybe he was just lucky. My voice sounds decent from time to time. but sometimes it sounds like i'm 7,000 years old

So I watched this video a few weeks ago, and because of it, I put off going to an ENT, because of what is said about #3, that the break up in sound would come in higher ranges. I have no issues in my upper head voice or falsetto, or chest voice...all of my issues are in the mid passagio. Well, I finally had my cords scoped today, and I have two small nodules on my cords. So, if you're reading this, and you're experiencing that break in sound IN ANY OF YOUR REGISTERS, it could be nodules. Don't wait. Get scoped.

My ENT took one look and refered my to a laryngologist because he sees more cancer than my EMT. I had to wait 3 anxious weeks , during which I made plans to die or have my voice box removed. When the day finally came the guy looked in my throat then showed my on a screen. I had a broken blood vessel on one cord. He said it would resolve itself and there was no need to rest or curtail my singing activities. Lesson for ENT. dont mention the C word if you don't know. Not all of them are that great

I'm fairly certain I have pitch breaks and I really hate it. My voice doesn't go completely silent it just becomes really hoarse at a few frequencies. I had a perfectly good voice before puberty but during puberty I struggled with it for multiple years. Went from really high voice to a little below avarage deepness but sort of broken at a few frequencies. Could this somehow be fixed? Would surgery be expensive or is there ways to train avoiding talking in those frequencies?

So this video kinda make me concerned, I've been horse in one spot of my vocal range for several months and I've just been concentrating on other things to be too worried about it. I can still talk normally but when I try to sing, a couple of the notes in the mid range come out really horse. I'm an Alto. After watching this, I applied myself, did vocal warm ups I learned in choir for like 5 minutes and now my entire range is clear. I was thinking I had some kind of bump or nodule causing the hoarseness after watching the video. You may just need to warm up a bit and that's it.

Being a sales person, I need a good voice totally in my control. But after using medicines for asthma, I have a hoarse voice. Went to doctors several times but of no use.
Someone told me to slowly ingest 1 teaspoon of ginger oil and it worked like magic for me.
So now, after medication, I brush my teeth and rinse mouth thouroughly, take ginger oil, gargle with water and salt, and at last drink some tea. It takes 15 minutes daily, but I am at ease now...

I used to have a very natural high-pitched voice, but over the years it became deeper. (subconsciously, I think I've made myself talk deeper because of the comments I got by my family and friends about how annoying I sound)
But now it damaged my singing and normal speaking voice. I can't hit the easiest notes any more and when I even speak for too long it feels like something is in my throat and I tried to do vocal exercises, but it didn't help. I want my range and normal voice back.
