My channel is not just a source of info, or content, it's a channel where you are. Thank you real person who might be reading this. A 4 hour video is a bit of an adventure, tomorrow nutshell version!
Saved and favourited with some pizza for the weekend after this gruelling week at work. Thank you again dude, these videos are golden and appreciated. Loktar Azeroth ! 🙌🏾
Gotta admit, I love these meaty full length vids. Time to get lots of info and lore. Gotta admit, gonna miss Dalaran, as a mage it's always been one of my favorite cities
1:02:14 I’m sorry but that gnome in a bathing suit and fairy wings, I can’t help but crack up laughing. It completely counters the tense tone of the scene. XD
Watching it all together really helps after the rapid read and quest of the leveling phase, it really helps get everything aligned. Extreme speculation below. So far we know Xal has Arcane, Void and probably Light taken somewhere by the dark heart, If we assume the Dark Heart was more than just a container and was used to move the energy somewhere. Xal still needs Disorder, Life, and Death for a full set of first ones energy so maybe that will be the next part of the trilogy trying to stop Xal from getting those 3 and trying to become a "first one" which will be the close of the world soul saga, we take that energy and awaken azeroth as the first one. All this assumes they don't just abandon shadowlands lore additions as a bad dream
I think the scene with Xal' after defeating Ansurek comes before Alleria hits the Dark Heart. Xal looks too 'not angry', and I believe she would be fumming after what Alleria did, blaming everyone for that. Also, the 'last longer' I think is exactly why Alleria reaches her before she's done with Beladar, so if Ansurek was stronger, and kept the heroes busy longer, she would have finished whatever she was doing, and the breaking of the heart wouldn't have happened. Additionally, I think Xal may have 'lost' her dead Elf form with all of that. I think she will reapper different next time we see her.
Dorn means Thorn in german. so its the "isle of Thorne". makes me think ALOT about Quillboars and their root like and spiked southern Barrens and even outland and dreanor.
I'm late to this vid so sure no one will see this but so much of the Dwarven/Earthen/ringing deeps story lore is essentially lifted from 'Thud' by Terry Pratchett - KIng Diamond, Devouring Darkness for eg. Is there anything else glaringly Pratchett in this expansion? Perhaps has a bit of 'The Fifth Elephant' thrown in with the secretive Earthen politics.
So. if no one has said it. Xally's voice actor is Claudia Christian. She was Ivanova on Babylon 5. The fact that she represents the Void (not the Shadow) is .. a thing.
Honestly War Within has had a much more consistent and adventurous tone than the story has had for a while, but still manages to express the stakes well. Shadowlands was too cosmic and dragonflight was too whimsical and mundane. Xalatath is a clear and present villain and her threat is obvious, while I still don't know what the fuck the primalists deal were. She also has her own buildup and her own deal rather than sticking her business in other parts of the lore like the jailer. I really do feel the difference metzen and other writers have been making so far in the plot as a whole and the much more involved characterization for alleria and anduin and the earthen's much better integrated lore.
DF was fine but def the game getting up off its feet but this expac has been engaging with the cutscenes ,Anduin and Faerin really are cute and cool together esp with how she helped him , she was NEVER mean about it and its a nice thing about religion and faith being powerful tools in helping you rebuild yourself
It’s cool to hear and see Nobbel tell the story but I’m not interested in playing war within.. I’m currently playing cata classic and 20th anniversary classic cause I like the old wow not the new wow 😃👍
Great analysis, thank you! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (behave today finger ski upon boy assault summer exhaust beauty stereo over). How can I transfer them to Binance?
I liked the video a lot and appreciated the lore review/context, but it felt odd to have a review of the mechanics of the bosses of the raid at the end. Calling out the poison from one of them made sense, but aside from that I don't think that fit/was necessary to include.
Breaking an oath is just fine, so long as you chase your dreams... right? I just can't root for these Earthen, for that and other reasons. EDIT: "Not by commanding, but by understanding"... barf. Also, I don't like how they made Magni a reformed dad (a bit like a whipped dog) instead of a great dwarven king. Very un-dwarf like, all the way around. Good video though, thanks.
tbh Magni JUST got let go from his duties , he has to kind relearn all of that since its been well over 5 years for him now as a statue , its natural he wants to first heal his relashionship with his Daughter tbf
So following an oath is fine even if it means that the "oath" was never made with your interests in mind, but with the desire to achieve your parents' ends with no care for you? There's another word for that: Slavery. The titans made the earthen to be their slaves. The earthen broke their chains. Good for them.
@@writershard5065 Yeah, these are proto dwarfs... so yes, an oath is an oath. Oath breakers, with all the nuance of this excuse or that, belong elsewhere. Some cultures in fantasy, by and large, should allow themselves to be ground into nothingness for the sake of duty.
@@GazingTrandoshan That should be part of it, sure... but not the whole of it. As far as we know, he is just a family man completely humbled and apologetic. I like a bit more pride and pigheadedness in my dwarf kings. I have played through much of the expansion and it is extremely touchy-feely. I miss the edge of hardcore fantasy tropes and wild adventure. The stories in TWW seem much like affirming therapy sessions, from Anduin, to Magni, to all the new characters. Doesn't anyone else notice this? I can't be the only one.
It seems weird to be upset by the fact that they are including characters that are multifaceted. Literally all this is doing is showing you can be a strong powerful fighter and leader whilst still having personal demons to conquer, and also that when you do conquer those demons you get stronger... Seems weird to be bothered by that.. just sayin. Maybe that's why no one else has "noticed" it because it's not something odd to have a well rounded character, especially in lore that has existed for 30 years...

how would you rate the story/lore of this expansion so far?
I like your characters transmog nobbel 😂

Sometimes I feel like I'm a kid and you're reading me bedtime stories... 😂😅
Love these 4h adventures still

same
A nice short video to tie me over for the weekend. As someone who doesn't play WoW anymore, this really scratches that lore itch.
Friends are saying the story is really good so thank you for this since I don't play the game anymore :3
Thanks Nobbel, I've opted out of retail for the past several years but ngl the stories are awesome. Thanks for keeping me updated.
I've been looking for some WoW Lore Videos that are a few hours long and lo and behold Nobbel never fails.
Thanks Nobbel!
the captions are everything thank you
Thank you Nobbel! Love these long versions. Perfect weekend viewing to just sit down and hunker in.
These longer form videos are just as amazing as the shorter segment ones. I love them! Thanks heaps.
I love putting these longer videos on before bedtime. It’s like you’re telling a bedtime story.
Extraordinary stuff as usual, Nobbel! Thank you!
Love you videos never commented but watch almost daily. You really help me get through my work day everyday and thank you for that
That butterfly flying by in the end was a moment ❤
Best MSQ ever for Warcraft. Enjoyed it so much!!

God dammit man. I wanted to go to bed an hour and a half ago! 😂
both Magni and Khadgar "die" in this expansion and are brought back 5 seconds later. What is the point of these scenes blizzard?
The voice actors are true professionals
Can we appreciate the irony of a shadow priest battling the forces of the void?

It was probably the Earthen's cyclical factory reset process that reduced the curse of flesh effects and kept them stone.
Dwarf dancing skillz off the chart
Hope that book was good

Now I don't have to play Retail to keep up with the story ;)

Azeroth didn't fix the awakening machine, she repurposed it from a Titan factory reset system to Azeroth loyal Earthen factory. Clever girl...
2:29 "Archmage Drenden purposes... And the council agrees..."
Have not touched this expansion yet but lemme ask is “Beladar” Sargera’s sword?
3:20:30 if they did this it would be the single funniest thing blizzard has ever done and I support it 100%

interesting that you think we only have 4 elemental planes and spirit and decay are missing, i wonder where they could be.
What is up with these subtitles?
What do you mean?
A spider romance is effing weird.
First human to comment!
It kust keeps going with nothing seemimg that dire or important.
1:40 what the fuck is THAT?! Damn! im glad i quit this game ages ago X_D. I was thinking about coming back then i saw that thing lol.
dat transmog though :P
The fact that you're allowed to do a transmog like that, convinced me that TWW isn't for me.
They really went from "It was the jailer all along" to "No actually, it was Xal'atath all along!" Huh...
Tbf Xal's plans feel like they make more sense, like a reveal more than the jailer's retcon insert of being behind stuff
I mean, she hasn't really done anything that was related to the old lore
that joke transmog annoys me :(
Poor baby
Can you make a lore video of that dwarf (or gnome?) in bikinis next, please
jesus christ did the lore degrade to fermented dogshit.
thanks no need to play the game now
