Thanks for this video. I would like to have seen you show us where the two wires were locating on the bolt and levers whilst picking (once you had taken the covers off). I think this would help us novices envision what we were trying to do within the lock when we couldn't see anything. Nevertheless, I really appreciate you taking the time and trouble to show us this. Cheers.
Cheers for watching Mike and your comments are appreciated, I have done many videos showing the inside of different lever locks, they are all basically the same, you tension the bolt with one wire or a tension tool and then lift up the levers with the other wire, look at some of my other videos it will show you what goes on inside the locks, sorry I didn’t do it on this video
Well done. I love these they have no false gates and a feel good open. I got a load from a car boot , I thought my misses was. Going to go nuts as it was a big pot.
Wish you could educate me on lever locks, it's hard without a teacher, I would help you in picking American locks . But you are doing just fine brother.
Great vid, thank you. What if the bolt is at the top instead of the side?. The keyhole is the same as here. Are the levers in the same place or do you have to change the angle?. Many thanks
Answered my own question. The levers were 90 degrees up too. Managed to open it following your vid. Old cutlery box. Thank you ever so much for your help
Thanks for this video. I notice that the tension tool is a lot shorter that the length of the key slot, how did you decide what length the tension tool should be; just trial and error?
Cheers for watching, when using a wire to tension the bolt the length is not that critical as you can move it inside the keyway, but your right it is just trial and error 👍
Thanks to you I was able to unlock a drawer and the desk kid of my hutch! Cheers!!
Cheers for watching 🍻
Great demonstration Brummie, thanks for doing this video, cheers

Cheers for watching Tony, you can not beat a car boot pot of locks 👍
They make great starter locks and like you say Brummie, not difficult to get hold of.
Cheers Roy and thanks for watching 👍
Fascinating. Can't wait to have a crack at a couple of these locks.
