I've heard better pickers than myself say thst you should also try switching tension tools when you are stuck.

Great tip! Still "happens" to me until this day, that I get stuck on a "wrong" pick and am too stubborn to try something else...

I’ll have a go later with my back door lock. It’s proven to be a right swine, nearly went and bought expensive thinner picks the other day because it’s so bloody frustrating! (So much for a nice calm hobby 😂).

Had beginners luck one day thought I was the Man. The next day nothing worked ruined everything and split my fingers . Have to admit its a great feeling when things go well great hobby no end of stuff to play with . Made a Bogota Lock Pick and it worked .

Great advice mate I used the LSH(Laird Security Hardware) brand as my standard euros when first starting then I noticed they started having Era branded keys. Era took over the company so you've one of the original LSH euros

I tend to start with medium tension and then switch either way depending on the lock.

I still use my double ended (sparrows?) half diamond and half snowman pick every day in fact its my only really essential EDC with a tensioner and a laccy band!

I know someone who took a whole night to pick a tsa lock because she didn't know it opened anticlockwise and was too stubborn to look it up first because it's just a tsa lock.

Happy to hear someone point out these things are difficult to pick when they're actually in use. Between dirt, positioning and keeping an eye out for onlookers who might complain, it's difficult to actually pick something in the wild. I've been hitting up lovelocks and it's a different experience all together.
