This video was filmed in November 2022. Places shown in the video were not affected by the Turkey-Syria earthquake.
I would like to express my deepest condolences for all the people who lost their lives in the earthquake and my sincere sympathies for all those who have been affected.

But still, Rory, not the time to release it, show it when the rubble is cleared, and they can look forward to their old life, but yeah not the time to release it as it can look like you're trying to capitalise on what happened with views on your video.

Hi Rory thank you for the video. The train was very good. What a good idea putting a mini fridge in the train. I hope you had a great trip. I would like also to express my condolences to all the people who have lost love ones. Will look forward Rory to your next video.

    Hi Rory.
Firstly I want to say, that like many ( if not all) of your followers, I wish to add my sympathy to the peoples of both Syria and Türkiye.
Mother Nature can be very cruel at times 😥
But thankyou for showing a very beautiful Türkiye. I was very impressed at the spaciousness of the twin cabin in the sleeping carriage.
I dunno about the squat toilet though, but I respect that in many parts of the world this is normal, and they think a Western style toilet is a bit strange.
Yes , a shower would be a good addition to the train, but in the scheme of things, more toilets are probably more useful.

    • @RoryDing
      @RoryDing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Considering there’s only 20 people in the sleeping car I reckon one toilet would suffice 😂

Hi Rory 👋, this is an amazing presentation but sobering when considering the çurrent earthquake situation and my prayers go out to all those impacted by the events. I am surprised to see a mini fridge on this train and I think it is something that could be added to our long-distance trains in Australia. The cabin looked quite comfortable and I am wondering if the windows could be opened to allow fresh air. I am very sure that the squat toilet would leave me literally in the shit if I tried such a manoeuvre. 🤣. What an adventure this was, and I definitely can't wait for your next journey into the unknown.

    • @RoryDing

Thanks Rory for giving us such a good insight into what the overnight trains in Turkey are like. I guess once the high speed line is completed there will no longer be any need for a sleeper service. Such a tragic time for Turkey and Syria right now. Our sympathies and prayers are with the so many people affected by this disaster.

I always enjoy your travel videos. It feels like you are sitting next to me, kindly explaining where I am on my trip and what would be best to do next. Of course, I can't verify it, but your confidence and skill at pronouncing words in Turkish is impressive! As I'm sure you know, the experience is better if you learn at least some of the language of the place you are staying. It really makes a difference with the local people you encounter. Lol, the only time that didn't work for me was in Hong Kong, but I'm sure I was butchering Cantonese trying to order food. I still tried!

Thank you for this video. I love watching travel vids. One thing I must say however, the letter 'h' is pronounced 'aitch' and not 'haitch'. It is the only letter in the English alphabet that is featured in the dictionary as a whole word and it comes under A and not H. Please forgive me if I might sound rude about this but I am trained as an ESOL teacher (English for Speakers of Other Languages) so I always like to make corrections where necesary. Thanks again for the travel info!

    • @RoryDing

Australians normally pronounce “h” “haitch” so I just copied the accent 😅😊

“The crescent represents development, and the five-pointed star symbol represents guidance. Together, they symbolize the Turkish people's aspiration to strive for progress and enlightenment.”
🇹🇷 I think it’s a brilliant way to show their flags
