I was lucky enought to be #7 of 10 participants to one of Dr. Michael Bogenschutz psychedelic treatments for my alcohol addiction. Law and policy can not catchup soon enough for this to be accessible to all in need. Having experienced the treatment I believe psycho medical treatment will be a game changer for traditional rehabilitation programs.

When the science so clearly demonstrates that psychedelics have such incredible results with little side effects, while available prescription drugs have such poor results with terrible side effects - it is simply mindboggling that regular drugs are considered "good" while "everyone knows" psychedelics are "bad" We are truly living in the upside-down.

@@goygoddess2822 Thank you! Although I am not doing that. Just trying to reduce harm. If youre mentally stable and in a comfortable environment, a good trip can be extremely significant and healing. But you are always taking a chance, you can never be 100% sure youre not gonna have a bad trip and thats important to consider. However, you can start with a low dose and work your way up to not get owerwhelmed. I would also advocate for something like MDMA (once a year at most) because youre much more likely to have a good experience.
The substance 4-HO-MET is interesting because it seems to be a gentler psychedelic than most others with an increased chance for a good trip.

A beautifully open-minded panel of well-spoken, varied individuals regarding psychedelic potential. Psychedelics not only drive my thirst of knowledge and curiosity but they, psilocybin specifically very likely saved my literal life and has provided me guidance and renewed a sense of purpose in my life. When discussing psychedelics with people in our lives who are unaware of the mental health potential and who might not be comfortable with the idea of them, please make sure to use this panel as an example in your discussions and as an example on how to communicate to others. We need to lead by example in this movement as some of our population has been influenced and bullied, even, into believing and living with misinformation about them (War on drugs/propaganda). I'm brought to tears thinking that our children might live in a world with a widespread senses of interconnectedness and I plan to make it a reality. PTSD/Depression/Anxiety have not only derailed my life in the past but drove a purely reactive mind to behave in ways so abhorrently that i managed to incur more traumatic pains and memories against others around me and my own, again. I hurt people that i love and i brutalized my self with hatred. That was my old life. This is more than medicine and i've made my purpose in life connecting these miracles with the people who need them. Thank you panel, and everyone else involved.

I have to question the need to keep psychedelics ONLY within the medical and research fields. When someone turns 18 oin the UK here, they can begin drinking and consume as much as their wallets can buy them, perfectly legally. Same with smoking. Surely these same people should be allowed the freedom to buy alternatives like psychedelics and be allowed to explore their own consciousness without risk of prosecution or the need to pay through the nose to have it supervised by a counsellor etc. It should, in the allegedly free western world, be a fundamental human right for adults to choose how they wish to "inebriate" themselves. Just so long as they are not going out and harming others to either fund it or as a result of it. Sure, someone is always gonna have a bad reaction to something. But does that mean I should risk arrest for handing out chocolate covered peanuts to people who maybe allergic to them?? To me, it is insulting to the general population of the world (whether they realise it or not) to have their freedoms so restricted and be fed the propaganda that the average person out there is incapable of deciding for themself, what they can and cannot put in their own body. All that said, I do agree that the medical and research fields should have free access to such drugs, but I cannot agree with them being the only ones who can dictate who and who doesn't get to use them. Especially when they have a MUCH greater safety profile than paracetamol / tylenol. Let alone the safety profiles of alcohol or tobacco.

Various antidepressants/mood boosting drugs should be easy and legal to buy online without needing a prescription. For some people its very hard even to go to the doctor, and also the process is tiresome and a doctor prescribes you something he has no idea about what its effect is he hasnt even taken it himself, we should be free to choose ourselves which substances suit us to figure out the best solution, all the information about side-effects et cetera is on the internet, show warnings of drug interactions in a big banner on the website and design the shop not to allow people to buy incompatible drugs. The even bigger problem is the capitalist mindset when it comes to research on mood boosting drugs and pharma companies. Anti-tolerance drugs for opioids and other techniques need to be investigated. The orthodox mindset of "abuse-potential is illegal" isn't going to bring any significant breakthroughs neither for curing depression nor exploring the state-space of consciousness.

Today, the mushroom compound is being used in clinical trials for end-of-life anxiety, treatment-resistant depression, addiction, eating disorders and other conditions with unprecedented success, and psilocybin-assisted therapy has been given FDA “breakthrough therapy” status as a treatment for depression.

Find the way to being your consciousness while on a psychedelic journey. This is what I have found to be one of the most important things to learn. Here is a short video I made about this,. th-cam.com/video/nIulqf2nF6Y/w-d-xo.html What DO you think??
Its from the DIY psychedelic guide thefungiant.com/psychedelic-guide/ that guide will be helpful for anyone trying to use psychedelics for healing and growth

I think mystical experiences are a big mistake. That is the tendency towards a quick fix thinking in the US. I like they psycholytic approach better, where low doses are used in an ongoing psychotherapeutic relationship, where the defenses are dropped enough for the person to deeply sort through painful emotions from their life and childhood. Many people think that mystical experiences are the minds way of escaping painful emotions, almost a delusional state. It is also noted that most people that have the mystical experiences do not have lasting change. They have the psychedelic afterglow for weeks or months or even a year, but usually regress to their mentally ill state. The psycholytic approach allows for more lasting change, even permanent. There is no quick fix. If a person has mystical experiences AFTER working through deep emotions, perhaps it is beneficial, not sure. But the idea of skipping over the crying and rage that every child experiences and going into feelings of oneness with god....I don't think its good. It may in fact keep people from feeling their pain and having real change, especially if they go off and become gurus and spiritual freaks the rest of their life. Just my opinion. I like the European approach of using low dose sessions in a pscyhodynamic framework....over many months or years. Slow change is more permanent change.
