I have both the 2020 and 2021 Blu Rays - both great, but this one is even more spectacular. They are a lot more interactive than in 2020's Five of a Kind. Miyako lets her musicianship speak for itself. And it speaks volumes. She just has a different, maybe more introverted personality than, say, Midori, and who cares? They're both off-the-charts badass, cool, and likable (as are the rest of the members).
Lovebites keeps getting better and better every year. That is why I say if they continue at this pace for ten more years they have the potential to surpass Iron Maiden as my all time most favorite heavy metal band. They just need the longevity that IM has. They certainly have the talent.
Such a pity that fans were only permitted to applaud, due to Covid restrictions. Under normal conditions, that hall would have gone berserk, with a show ending like that.
Miyako being so quiet and still is an act. In the past with other bands she was very active and outgoing on stage. She says she does it to counter how lively Midori (the other guitarist) is. I don't really get it, but hey, it's Miyako and she can do whatever the fuck she wants as a musical genius. Also, she was around 5 months pregnant at the time of this recording :D
Great reaction. About the high heels, did you notice Asami jumped off from the platform at the end with her skinny heels without breaking her ankles, and Miyako is wearing flat soles because she was four month pregnant at that time. Tough women.
This live was a concert that LOVEBITES, which had been banned from live activities due to a pandemic, was able to hold it for the first time in a year. Asami sings with a long high tone voice, and Haruna kicks the double pedal accurately at an astonishing speed even though it is the last song of the live. I don't get criticism of Asami's voice (apart from the wide vibrato she sometimes uses, that's not my thing). She is the best Japanese metal singer I've heard. Easily. Range, power, color, all there.
Really the only Japanese singer who's in her league from a vocal talent standpoint is Masotoshi Ono from Galneryus, & that dude is an absolute legend, not to mention nearly 1 1/2 times to twice her age (I think he's around 55 by now).
Actually Miyako was always quite animated in older video's. Some songs she smiles,winks and head bangs but othe songs she is more compose. Midori on the other hand is a Olympian on the Stage. Always moving,jumping,smiling and snarling and in heels that are Ridiculous.

Hahaha. Guys say Lovebites look miserable must be miserable stereotype metal fans that believe metal has to be all in black and tattoos, and with dark and bizarre atmosphere with groaning. They believe that metal has to be in a fixed style like cultural legacy, but rock/metal is an opposite thing that is radical and out law.
People who critize Lovebites are jelous and envy which is totaly understandible because they are best metal band in the last 20 years for sure. All other metal bands (no matter the genre) want to be on this level but like 80% of all of them just cant. The bassist was going through hell, that's why she left the band, I'm sure it was difficult on all of them they still put on an amazing performance. I had never seen this performance. The lead singer's voice gotten a ton stronger!

Miyako could play to a song about rainbows, unicorns and smurfs, this wouldn't change a thing. It's her style and i love it in the meantime!
