Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 Lovebites is one of the best bands in our country. We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". The history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since as early as 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.) Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄
Oh You got so many amazing bands from Japan. Seems that Japan has taken the metal torch from Scandinavia and going forward! Living in Sweden and just loving what happens in Japan right now!

Midori and Miyako-in my opinion one of the strongest guitar duo in modern metal.I have been following this band since their debut album and...They are fucking AWESOME.

Welcome gentelmen.. Great reaction to these beautiful tallented ladies.. 49 songs to go, and they are all this good and better.. ENJOY!! Oh and the guitarist with the biceps you called out is called Midori, and she is a fitness fanatic.. There are plenty more bands from Japan you need to check out.. Try out Hagane, with the song Super villan.. 7 minutes of Face melting awesomeness.. Best wishes from France..
Midori, the blond guitarist you noticed with the strong arms, is a body builder and world class musician. The other guitarist, Miyako, is also a world class concert pianist.
That's it.Because the long History of western Rock Metal Jazz etc.had played in Japan. It had definitely turned into a monster of so many music legend's.
My friends you have discovered the Metal Goddesses....it's a good day ! LoveBites is just one of the many, all female bands from Japan & they are all ridiculously good !! Try, Band-Maid, " Play " live & Nemophila, " Adabana. " ❤️🎙🎸🎹🥁😎👌 As for LoveBites try, " Chopin Intro + Swan Song. "
The dude in the glasses has a new favorite band. 😆 You want more? Hold on to your ass. There's a LOT more! You just went down a big rabbit hole. I'm not even going to recommend songs. Just do a search, and start watching! Wolfpack is here for LOVEBITES! 🤘🏻🐺🤘🏻

Iron Maiden is an influence of theirs. When you made a comment on on the arms of their guitarist, you had a good eye. Midori is actually a bodybuilder. I'm glad you've been bitten by them. Welcome to The Wolfpack. If you'd like to do another...pick anyone, lol
When I first heard them two years ago I thought they were what would happen if you mixed Priest, Maiden add a sprinkling of Testament and then buffed out any rough edges and added classical music and prom dresses then lit the fuse...🔥🧨
Im a Maiden Fan since over 40 years, but this girls are next level! They are all so hyper talented! They have finally found now a new bassist, i hope they will do a european tour an come to us to Vienna :)
Thanks for giving these ladies a look. There's a lot of genre diversity in LOVEBITES' catalog. I have all of their studio and live releases and didn't find a song I dislike. Their talent is always on display and my only issue - if you can really call it an issue - is that Miho, the bass guitarist who left the band in 2021, wasn't featured musically as often as I would have liked. I would say that since I'm primarily a bass player, though.
Guys your reaction to this masterpiece of metal is my favorite of all the reactions about them. Your genuine appreciation mimics my own. My first view of them gobsmacked me! I could not fully understand the enormity of their talent. It blew me away. I am several decades old and love all music...but these ladies to me are the ultimate metal band. Yes their foundation is on the shoulders of metal masters but they don't just stand on their shoulders. THEY TOWER OVER THEM!
I love priest, but the entire structure of this band's music is based on maiden. Miho was very specific about that. If you listen to the recent interview by Miho, she was very enthusiastic about Nemophilas(Japanese Girl metal band) growth in the American market and implied that it was a better idea to start with high quality interpretations of covers. Easily Nemo's 2 most popular covers are Iron maidens. "Aces Hi,gh" and "the trooper",, getting millions of views in a shorter space of time than lovebites get fewer views, on their videos, Despite releasing inferior Self Written songs to lovebites.Pretty soon after this lovebites came out with "painkiller" and "Eagle fly free", doing covers for ththe 1st time. Now Miho has left and is exclusively doing covers for the time being, with friends It's pretty safe to say, that if Nemo had not released their maiden covers, love bites would have done it
Great reaction, this Band is fantastic, they play different Metal genres they have an absurd talent and they are a surprise for those who listen to them the first time, in their discography there are no bad songs even one, I love Lovebites thank you for this reaction, we support this band ... their return is imminent! 🤘🏼🎸🥁🎤🐺💖🇯🇵🇮🇹
Lovebites are usually Power Metal but they also play Thrash Metal and a few other genres. The former bass player, Miho is a huge fan of Iron Maiden and Steve Harris. Their song, 'The Crusade' is a tribute to 'Aces High' by Iron Maiden.
I would even say overall they have as many thrash metal songs as they have power metal songs. Then some ballads thrown on top. They should have went with "Set the world on fire" if one of them isnt the biggest fan of power metal.
Most artists take the structure of a Major influential band (in this case, maiden) and adapt those things that they think you can take to the next level, then blaze your own trail. Suffice to say, Love bites have done that.Unfortunately they have not grasped the market share that they deserve. Miho did an interview on TH-cam a few days ago and she's Pretty much implied that the mistake they made was not releasing high-quality covers in the Genre, before releasing original material. She sang the praises of Nemophilia, who she says are the 1st Japanese metal band to gain enough popularity in the US to get called up to perform their. Nemo pretty much only released covers, before releasing original material.Ironically, easily the most popular covers, gaining miillions of views are "aces high" and "the trooper" by Iron Maiden. Very soon after that Love bites released painkiller and Eagle. Fly free, as their 1st 2 covers.Since then Miho has left the band, and is exclusively doing covers with other Japanese artists Funny how life has these little ironies,Isn't it
LOVEBITES - Holy War lyrics: Look at those black clouds, it’s going to rain blood People live in fear, covered in mud Singing oh Gloria to change the prophecy We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for sisters There is a thousand, a thousand of evils Hush, do not wake up Satan’s devils Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for brothers Shining blade and burning heart Into the Gates of Hell we march Immortal soul, let there be light Into the Eye of Heaven Eagles at a holy war Fly higher than the sun We are one for all and all for one forevermore SOLO: midori Kingdom of Heaven, never shall we fall Reincarnation, wait for your call Singing oh, Gloria to change the prophecy We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for sisters Morning star and dying moon Into the Gates of Hell we march Mighty soul, let there be hope Into the Eye of Heaven Eagles at a holy war Fly higher than the sun Stand up in the name of the God of heavy metal What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight? But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for Only have one thing on our mind Facing the fate, holy war SOLO: miyako / midori / both Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for brothers Shining blade and burning heart Into the Gates of Hell we march Immortal soul, let there be light Into the Eye of Heaven Eagles at a holy war Fly higher than the sun We are one for all and all for one forevermore What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight? But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for Only have one thing on our mind Facing the fate, holy war ----- lyrics: LOVEBITES music: Mao arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami) from Electric Pentagram 2020
"Heavier Iron Maiden" is a good description for Lovebites. Listen to The Crusade or Golden Destination from them. Both are even more Iron Maiden-esque songs. But that's also only a small part of what they have to offer. There is a huge amount of variety to be found in their discography.
Check out set the world on fire, thunder vengeance, and break the wall. These are all thrashier and less power metal (though the solos are still pretty power metal). If you want a mv instead of live, shadowmaker is epic power metal at its finest.
The good news is All of LoveBites songs are this Epic. 50 plus songs. Power Metal,Thrash Metal, Melodic Metal...They nail ii with authority. Each member is a Master Musician and it shows. Welcome too the WolfPack.
@@ThunderRooster this is just the tip of the iceberg. So many more. So many great ones. You should react to the two Japanese girls bands to do Aftershock. Band Maid and Nemophila. Band-Maid 'Domination' Official Live. Nemophila 'Dissension'. Lovebites is the best Japanese girls band only if you love power metal. Which personally I don't. But they do it as well as it can be done.
Great first reaction to Lovebites guys! It's definitely one of my favorite bands in Japan and this song and performance are just amazing! I recommend that you can react to Japan's Band Maid, "Domination" or "Freedom" See you at the next! 🤟🦊🔥🔥🔥🔥
Believe it or not but before Lovebites was named Lovebites, their original name was Powerslaves named after Iron Maiden's album Powerslave. I recommend "Set The World On Fire" th-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/w-d-xo.html If you liked Holy War, Set The World On Fire takes it to the next level 🤘
Yep you guys nailed it, a much heavier Iron Maiden. They have been called the female Iron Maiden and the female DragonForce but they also slay it when they do Thrash. The band has played all the major European festivals including Wacken and has toured the U.K. with DragonForce but has not been to the U.S. yet.
This band is not just power metal. They play all types of genres. Check out one of their heavy songs "Set the world on fire". th-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/w-d-xo.html. This should blow you away.
Thanks for reacting to amazing Lovebites and spreading the word; they deserve more recognition Welcomed to the mind-blowing world of Lovebites. These women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile exceptional musicians. They really shine in their live performances. Their main influences are Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Helloween, Angra, Judas Priest, Dragonforce, and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their unique style. Miyako is also a concert-level classical pianist. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined Lovebites. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years. Currently the band is in the process to announce the new bassist. In an interview, Miho (ex bassist) said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. My next suggestions are “Break the wall”, “The Awakening/Hammer of wrath”, “Set the world on fire”, “Shadowmaker”, “Raise some hell”, “Scream for me”, “When destinies align”, “The crusade”, “Frozen serenade”, “Spellbound”, “Don’t bite the dust”, “Winds of Transylvania”, “Edge of the world”, “Epilogue”. For piano: “Swan song”, “Empty daydream” (all live). Lineup: Haruna - Drums Miho - Ex Bass, backing vocals Midori - Lead & rhythm guitar, backing vocals Miyako - Lead & rhythm guitar, keyboards, classical piano, backing vocals Asami - Lead vocals, some piano
Your welcome! Thanks for checking us out and the suggestions. We’re excited for what’s next! All the bands you mentioned influenced us pretty good. Lol. We love the Metal. 👍✌️
Thanks to Pentagenarian--I think he just discovered this band in the last few days and clearly they had an impact. Now: Welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed most of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics. They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. This is one of their usual first songs for reactors, and rightly so--you get a good sense of the band. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like a demon). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Here are more clips you should check out: Their most recently posted live clips, “Set the World on Fire” th-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/w-d-xo.html and “Don’t Bite the Dust” th-cam.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/w-d-xo.html, which are both from their recently released concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”. "Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: th-cam.com/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/w-d-xo.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope. Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: th-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/w-d-xo.html. Miyako is also a professional-level concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. If you want to see what she can do on the piano, watch “Swan Song” WITH the prelude, which is Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude” (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor). Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. This link should work: th-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/w-d-xo.html. For a thrasher with heavy Slayer and Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” th-cam.com/video/G021aP2ao6Y/w-d-xo.html includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M. For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” th-cam.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/w-d-xo.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both) Finally, while you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular: "Shadowmaker" th-cam.com/video/Brmoln5Gxus/w-d-xo.html This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world "When Destinies Align" th-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/w-d-xo.html "Glory to the World" th-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/w-d-xo.html "Winds of Transylvania" th-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/w-d-xo.html. You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!
"that arm" belongs to Midori, 2 years before she began bodybuilding this year. Has "placed" in her first 2 Bikini Fitness Competitions her first 6 months of working out. th-cam.com/video/VuQISlYCDAg/w-d-xo.html is fanmade featuring her "fitness" 💚 "midori" is the Japanese word for GREEN 💚
You like "transitions" ? That is one of the first aspects of their arrangements that grabbed me. So many, so unique, so clever, so precise! Drummer Haruna shines in every instant of all 50 original songs. Known for her relentless dbl-kick precision & 'melodic' cymbal work. Not just talented in performance, but in composition, arrangement and LYRICS that may take you "to Hell" on your journey, then through self-empowerment, demanding personal-victory over all adversity! "discover something really special" Yes, you have. All Wolf-Pack agrees! 🐺
Welcome to the Lovebites show!! Miyako & Midori are the best guitar duo going today, if not ever. Your reference to Maiden (heavier/better) - perfect. I've been listening to metal since I heard Zeppelin in 1971. Lovebites is my favorite band. If you like pure thrash, three more songs from this same amazing concert - Break the Wall (thrashiest most Slayeresque song): th-cam.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/w-d-xo.html The Awakening/The Hammer of Wrath (encore opening): th-cam.com/video/otJZPUCwyOM/w-d-xo.html Thunder Vengeance (concert opening): th-cam.com/video/yWE7PqCpGi4/w-d-xo.html
amazing how many times i've heard - " power metal isn't quite my thing " - and then they see this and say " well let me rephrase that". LOVEBITES are truly unique due to the jawdropping talent and their arsenal of songs covers about every other genre as well. you have much to explore and many journeys to take with them
The problem is that there are plenty of bad power metal bands, so people are a bit apprehensive when it comes to the genre. But that's also why the truly great ones stand out.
First time I am on your TH-cam channel. Nice First Time Reaction on the band Lovebites. I have listened to them before, but now with the video it was really nice. Maybe you know or don't know, but the band Loudness, also from Japan, is worth listening too as well. Thanks for posting!
Great reaction to a great band! For a straight ahead thrash song with two very different guitar solos check out Break The Wall. For one of their masterpieces check out Edge Of The World. The dark haired guitarist is even better on the piano. These ladies are all world class musicians and writers. You will enjoy going down this rabbit hole.
Holy War? Holy @#$%!! I am ready for a cigarette ... amazing ... wow ... Anyway, first timer, here. Will NOT be the last. Great job, gents. Subbed. Cheers from the land Downundah \m/ 0_o \m/
Good catch eye! First, Midori is a gym freak and has even entered body-building competitions during the band's hiatus. Secondly, Dean didn't have woodgrain models (like Miyako wanted) and it was custom-made for her as she is endorsed by Dean.
If you like thrash try Set The World On Fire live by them. Big 4 caliber, and way better than a lot of what they've put out in the past decade. In fact, if set the world on fire was done by the big 4 or Testament likely be considered the best thrash song of the decade. It's got the Testament gallops combined with Dragonforce solos...off the F chain. Miyako (dark-haired lead) is 4mos pregnant during the show shredding Dimebag's dean for God sake. You have to check it out!!
Kinda takes your breath away, huh!! This is an excellent intro performance but are better; "Set the World on Fire" and "Swan Song with Etude Chopin" both are live. Miyako's Dean has been customized, By Her. Custom Fishman pickups and converted to active vs passive. Just to make you feel worst Miyako is self taught on the guitar. She has been playing piano since she was 3 yo!! There are 200+ Rock/Metal bands in Japan, about half all Female. So you have a lot catching up to do. Some suggestions: Band Maid - "Freedom" They are on tour in the US Now. Nemophila - "Dissension". Playing at the Aftershock Festival now. Unlucky Morpheus - "Black Pentagram" Aldious - "We Are" Mary's Blood - "Marionette" Hanabie - "We Love Sweets" You will need seat belts.
The girls remind me a lot of Rob Halford's band, especially the two guitars are amazing - wow! Addendum: I just found the cover of Priest's "Painkiller". As expected, a fantastic tribute!!!
It was cool to see you guys check out this gem of a band. They're not as widely known in the West as some other foreign bands but are so talented. So I know Ron doesn't like power metal normally, but have either of you heard of Unleash the Archers? Brittany Slays is absolutely ridiculous and I think you guys would love the guitar solos they do. They also have great videos that can be comedic at times. I'd start with Abyss if you haven't checked them out yet just to see if their structure of power metal maybe resonates a bit better with you Ron. All of their albums tell a story too which is pretty awesome.
I enjoyed your reaction to this great band. I love seeing the shock on people's faces when they see them for the first time. Since one of you don't care for power metal, you might want to check out some of their thrash songs. A couple of suggestions for you: "Set the World on Fire," and "Break the Wall" ( will remind you of Slayer with an Iron Maiden type break in the middle." FYI... they've been on hiatus for about a year and a half because their bass player quit the band. Yesterday (Oct. 21st) they introduced their new bass player. She's only 20 years old but is considered a prodigy on the bass. It should be illegal for one band to have 4 musicians of this quality. Peace!
Great to pay attention to their skills and as you said they let the music speak for you. Their motto is: "We're here not to be cute, we're here to play Heavy Metal!" Song suggestion: Break the Wall live at Zepp Diver City in Tokyo 2020
I apologise for my ignorance. Lovebites are kinda new to me, but seldom have I seen a band from Japan kick the the total arse out of most bands I know. This is incredible. I love it.
Love bites blowing up the stage with their songs and highly talented musician girls .. classic , trash , power, metals. Amazing guys . Keep going on for next song please (set the world on fire) 💥
Thanks for checking out bands from japan, there is a lot of great music coming from there. I also saw you guys checked out nemophila as well, if you are planning to do more reactions to japanese bands please check out galneryus (brutal spiral of emotions live and angel of salvation live) and unlucky morpheus (dignity of spirit live and angreifer live). And if you are generally checking out more bands from different countries please check out unprocessed they are a german band and sadly not that big, but their music is really good although their old music differs a lot of from their todays music in terms of genre, but both of their styles are really great.
Amazing as this may sound, Lovebites has barely surfaced in Japan, let alone the rest of the world. It’s thanks to reaction channels that I stumbled upon them almost two years ago, and it’s reaction channels that will be their greatest advertisement. They were formed in 2016 by the bass player, a big fan of Steve Harris. The sound she wanted was a more thrashier Maiden. Since then they have just advanced exponentially in musical terms, yet it’s all metal. A good example is this very track. There is a live version from a Covid restricted show in Tokyo a little over 12 months after this. The improvement is noticeable. And this from a band whose catalogue stood at 3 albums and 2 EP’s when this version you watched was recorded. Personally, I think your next Lovebites reaction should be “Epilogue” (link below). It showcases them at the other extreme of their range, and then there are over 40 more songs that are between those two points. I’m 62, and they are, without question, and I’m proud to say this without a second’s hesitation, THE best band, in every sense of the word, that I have ever heard. My life now basically revolves around them, news of them and, every evening (U.K. time) I check out new reactions and encourage further support of the ladies because the fact they aren’t household names should be a matter for the U.N. ! th-cam.com/video/JIAJYBuuKGM/w-d-xo.html
Listen to interviews from a few days ago, she's praising memophila for releasing hi quality covers, before their original material, which have helped them break into the American market. She pretty much implies that She would have liked love bites to have done tha. Nemos 2 Iron Maiden covers the "aces high" and "the trooper", have collectively got 4.5 million views. Compare that to Love bites, who then get near to 1,000,000 views in any of their videos, despite releasing far superior original material. Marketing yourself cleverly, s everything. I think the team let them down on this 1. She Left the Band, MIHO is now exclusively doing covers with other artists
@@Rowlph8888 I have zero time for Miho and I have nothing but respect for the remaining members. If Miho had wanted Lovebites to do covers to grow, they’d have done covers. Miho bailed. She acted extremely selfishly as far as I’m concerned. Yes she formed the band but she damn near ended it.
@@alekhidell Come on mate, give her a break. didn't you know that her father died, she's been trying to cope with it and staying with love bites for the last few months, before departure, so it wasn't sudden or with acrimony. it's a shame, but even though the other members are great songwriters in their own way, their entire structure was based on the bass driven, twin guitar feed off, from maiden as stipulated by both Miho and Haruna, at the outset.Maybe some of the other members wanted to take it more progressive because, unless only because of their roots, which as also hastened the departure. If Miyako wants to take it in this direction as the main songwriter now, you will find that they will bomb into oblivion Check out some of her interviews and you will find that Miho, is not just a badass bassist, but has a great leadership mindset and brilliant breakdown of what works in structure. The band have been very lucky to have her vision, because she has said in interviews that a grounding in the classic metal structure, all instruments tailored to the synergy of the completed song, and theatrical performance, are what breed success. She says that In japan, there are 2 many bands that focus too much, on technical excellence and reach into oblivion. She also states that most professional artists can produce technical excellence, of the highest level, given time, should they wish to do so, but bands such as maiden, and priest reined that in, to focus on a better listening experience for the fans, instead of selfish, boring, meaningless, self-indulgence trading. Providing consistent brilliant quality listening experience, instead of indulging shredding, is far more difficult As for the covers.I understand why you might see this as superficial, but it's just clever marketing. In this way, their production and marketing team have let them down by not thinking of this in the 1st place, to make fans of their genre aware of them,, and intrigued before they release original material. Do you really think it's a coincidence that she releases an interview rickets praising Nemophila's emergence, just a few days ago and Nemo released high-quality covers of "aces high" and "the trooper", then all of a sudden love bites release their "1st" covers. After already existing as a band for 5 years, and those covers are literally the 2 bands that inspired love bites, 2nd only to maiden. Also, those 2 covers from Nemo alone, got nearly 4.5 million views between them, at this point, whereas love bites, who produce. "far superior" music to Nemo, in their originals, barely get 1milldon views, on their best, most popular songs like this.Considering Nemo have literally only just started doing live performances; They are also the only Japanese group that had, enough popularity, in the US that they were called upon to play their recently.Working This must be a real kick in the teeth. I think if love bites had done this originally they would have twice the audience they have now.how many comments do you see here that says "I just found out about this band.".Love bites deserve a massive audience and they have been marketed poorly
@@Rowlph8888 It’s a pointless argument. I’m not persuing it. My mother died when I was Miho’s age. I could add a lot more, but like I said, it’s pointless. She bailed. End of.

WOW!.... JUST.. WOW!!
Welcome to the Lovebites rabbit hole. Better late than never!!! Strap in boys. These girls can rock!

Haruna on drums is from outer space. Absolute legend.

The other guitarist, Miyako, is also a world class concert pianist.
what the fuck is a "world class". Are you japanese ? Because only japanese use these nonsense terms.
Check out her classical piano videos. Concert standard. Classically trained from childhood. Only started guitar at age of 18.

Welcome to lovebites, thay are queen of metal,so talented,do you know that they rock out with high hills
Thank you so much for the great reaction! 👍
Lovebites forever!!! ❤️
When I first heard them two years ago I thought they were what would happen if you mixed Priest, Maiden add a sprinkling of Testament and then buffed out any rough edges and added classical music and prom dresses then lit the fuse...🔥🧨
All glory to LOVEBITES and all my brothers in sisters of The Wolf Pack everywhere. Been worshipping at their grace since 2017.
We lucky ones. 😊
Lovebites = Paganini, Vivaldi, Mozart, Beethoven and Bach re-incarnated as Japanese Metal Queens. 😁
They are a female version of judas priest. Watch their 'painkiller' cover, it's awesome.
Now Miho has left and is exclusively doing covers for the time being, with friends
It's pretty safe to say, that if Nemo had not released their maiden covers, love bites would have done it
You just have to love this kind of first reactions!! 😃 Welcome to the world of the best metal band
THE MAIDENS QUEENS OF HEAVY METAL 🤘🏻🐺👑LOVEBITES
Great reaction, this Band is fantastic, they play different Metal genres they have an absurd talent and they are a surprise for those who listen to them the first time, in their discography there are no bad songs even one, I love Lovebites thank you for this reaction, we support this band ... their return is imminent! 🤘🏼🎸🥁🎤🐺💖🇯🇵🇮🇹
Check out their song "Empty Daydream". Your heads will explode.
LOVEBITES RULES!!!
Mix of oldschool heavy metal, thrash, power and modern symphonic metal. Also some prog elements. I love the girls.
They also play hard rock and progressive as well.
Fly free, as their 1st 2 covers.Since then Miho has left the band, and is exclusively doing covers with other Japanese artists
Funny how life has these little ironies,Isn't it
I think the guitarist with the arms is a professional bodybuilder...
Yes!
LOVEBITES - Holy War lyrics:
Look at those black clouds, it’s going to rain blood
People live in fear, covered in mud
Singing oh Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
There is a thousand, a thousand of evils
Hush, do not wake up Satan’s devils
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and all for one forevermore
SOLO: midori
Kingdom of Heaven, never shall we fall
Reincarnation, wait for your call
Singing oh, Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
Morning star and dying moon
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Mighty soul, let there be hope
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
Stand up in the name of the God of heavy metal
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
Facing the fate, holy war
SOLO: miyako / midori / both
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and all for one forevermore
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
Facing the fate, holy war

I enjoyed yr reaction,,, Try "Set the World on Fire" then enjoy all their other tracks. Lovebites has no bad tracks... The Iron Maidens hahaha Love it
"Heavier Iron Maiden" is a good description for Lovebites.
And guys...this is live. What a performance!
Finally you got to Love Bites. I am looking forward to see more🤘🏽💥
The good news is All of LoveBites songs are this Epic. 50 plus songs. Power Metal,Thrash Metal, Melodic Metal...They nail ii with authority. Each member is a Master Musician and it shows. Welcome too the WolfPack.
Good God. So excited! Thank you for the info. ✌️
And also power ballad if you like ballad songs .

Lovebites is the best Japanese girls band only if you love power metal. Which personally I don't. But they do it as well as it can be done.

This reaction was as epic as the guitar shredding that was going on in the video. Loved how, by the end of it, Ron was won over by a power metal song.
Yep you guys nailed it, a much heavier Iron Maiden. They have been called the female Iron Maiden and the female DragonForce but they also slay it when they do Thrash. The band has played all the major European festivals including Wacken and has toured the U.K. with DragonForce but has not been to the U.S. yet.
I also hear a big early Helloween influence in their music.

Fun reaction! You can't go wrong with any of the songs from these amazing ladies!
Lineup:
Haruna - Drums
Miho - Ex Bass, backing vocals
Midori - Lead & rhythm guitar, backing vocals
Miyako - Lead & rhythm guitar, keyboards, classical piano, backing vocals
Asami - Lead vocals, some piano
Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981).
As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Here are more clips you should check out:
Their most recently posted live clips, “Set the World on Fire” th-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/w-d-xo.html and “Don’t Bite the Dust” th-cam.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/w-d-xo.html, which are both from their recently released concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”.
For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” th-cam.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/w-d-xo.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both)
Finally, while you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular:
"Shadowmaker" th-cam.com/video/Brmoln5Gxus/w-d-xo.html This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world
"When Destinies Align" th-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/w-d-xo.html
"Glory to the World" th-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/w-d-xo.html
"Winds of Transylvania" th-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/w-d-xo.html.
You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!
There are many female metal bands in Japan. Enjoy ❗️
"that arm" belongs to Midori, 2 years before she began bodybuilding this year.
Has "placed" in her first 2 Bikini Fitness Competitions her first 6 months of working out.
th-cam.com/video/VuQISlYCDAg/w-d-xo.html is fanmade featuring her "fitness"
💚 "midori" is the Japanese word for GREEN 💚
You like "transitions" ? That is one of the first aspects of their arrangements that grabbed me. So many, so unique, so clever, so precise! Drummer Haruna shines in every instant of all 50 original songs. Known for her relentless dbl-kick precision & 'melodic' cymbal work.
Not just talented in performance, but in composition, arrangement and LYRICS that may take you "to Hell" on your journey, then through self-empowerment, demanding personal-victory over all adversity!
"discover something really special" Yes, you have. All Wolf-Pack agrees! 🐺
Right on! Keep going with Lovebites! You won’t be disappointed. There are many more great bands in Japan. Enjoy! 🤘
Welcome to the Lovebites show!! Miyako & Midori are the best guitar duo going today, if not ever. Your reference to Maiden (heavier/better) - perfect. I've been listening to metal since I heard Zeppelin in 1971. Lovebites is my favorite band.
If you like pure thrash, three more songs from this same amazing concert -
Break the Wall (thrashiest most Slayeresque song): th-cam.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/w-d-xo.html
The Awakening/The Hammer of Wrath (encore opening): th-cam.com/video/otJZPUCwyOM/w-d-xo.html
Thunder Vengeance (concert opening): th-cam.com/video/yWE7PqCpGi4/w-d-xo.html
amazing how many times i've heard - " power metal isn't quite my thing " - and then they see this and say " well let me rephrase that". LOVEBITES are truly unique due to the jawdropping talent and their arsenal of songs covers about every other genre as well. you have much to explore and many journeys to take with them
Total agree 🙂
The problem is that there are plenty of bad power metal bands, so people are a bit apprehensive when it comes to the genre. But that's also why the truly great ones stand out.
Try their song "Break the wall", Midori's guitar solo is outstanding and one of the best I've seen in a long time
If you'd like a ballad try "Epilogue" with a Garry Moore style solo and amazing vocal by Asami
these ladies are friggin awesome, you have been LOVEBITTEN
That's how we all were when saw first time Lovebites....
something about how stoic Miyako is whenever she plays. Japan is the gift that keeps on giving when it comes to musical talent
First time I am on your TH-cam channel. Nice First Time Reaction on the band Lovebites.
I have listened to them before, but now with the video it was really nice.
Maybe you know or don't know, but the band Loudness, also from Japan, is worth listening too as well.
Thanks for posting!
Thank you so much! 🙏 ✌️
You've got a long road ahead of you guys. An absolute gem around every turn.
Wow! Such great feedback! Everyone keeps saying there are like 49 more Gems! Lol. We can’t wait to go down this Rabbit Hole! ✌️
Thank you! Looking forward to it!!✌️
👊🇯🇵🤟 Nice review, dunno if anyone mentioned Asami sings all these in English. Check out their JP Painkiller cover 🤯!!!
Holy War? Holy @#$%!! I am ready for a cigarette ... amazing ... wow ... Anyway, first timer, here. Will NOT be the last. Great job, gents.
Subbed.

Good catch eye! First, Midori is a gym freak and has even entered body-building competitions during the band's hiatus.
Secondly, Dean didn't have woodgrain models (like Miyako wanted) and it was custom-made for her as she is endorsed by Dean.
Iron Maiden was my favorite band for a long time, then I heard Lovebites and they took that tourch from them and are running with it.
Midori is a bodybuilder hence the guns.
you're in for a ride, there's a ton of great songs from these ladies
Correction, Haruna, the drummer has three pentagram "cymbals" that spin.
So you got lovebitten, too. Welcome to the wolfpack. 😊
Lovebites = perfect Metal, Metal re-invented. 😊
This song is more like classic heavy metal with some thrashy riffs not power metal per se but no matter the genre lovebites are a great band
Omg. That just blew my mind. So inspiring, like these guys said.
Great reaction! Thanks for reacting to my favorite band.
Thank you !✌️
Careful, fellas...the Japanese rock/metal rabbit-hole is deep, wide, and fucking spectacular. 🇯🇵 🔥🍻🤘
495th Thumbs Up!! Well I didn't know it was possible but my ears just came like a lot!!!
Holy. Shit. Reminds me of some early Arch Enemy. I'm not a powermetal guy either, but this is incredible.
Some suggestions:
Band Maid - "Freedom" They are on tour in the US Now.
Nemophila - "Dissension". Playing at the Aftershock Festival now.
Unlucky Morpheus - "Black Pentagram"
Aldious - "We Are"
Mary's Blood - "Marionette"
Hanabie - "We Love Sweets" You will need seat belts.
Their motto is: "We're here not to be cute, we're here to play Heavy Metal!"
Song suggestion: Break the Wall live at Zepp Diver City in Tokyo 2020
I apologise for my ignorance. Lovebites are kinda new to me, but seldom have I seen a band from Japan kick the the total arse out of most bands I know. This is incredible. I love it.
Talking about iron maiden the crusade is one a heavily inspired from aces high which is iron maiden's song..

Love bites blowing up the stage with their songs and highly talented musician girls .. classic , trash , power, metals. Amazing guys . Keep going on for next song please (set the world on fire) 💥
LOVEBITES🔥🤘🐺🤘🔥
Wow. Now thats an endorsement lol. I know what you mean. That’s what Metallica did for me. Looking forward for Ron and I to dive in. Thanks again! ✌️
If Miyako wants to take it in this direction as the main songwriter now, you will find that they will bomb into oblivion
Check out some of her interviews and you will find that Miho, is not just a badass bassist, but has a great leadership mindset and brilliant breakdown of what works in structure. Providing consistent brilliant quality listening experience, instead of indulging shredding, is far more difficult
As for the covers.I understand why you might see this as superficial, but it's just clever marketing. "far superior" music to Nemo, in their originals, barely get 1milldon views, on their best, most popular songs like this.Considering Nemo have literally only just started doing live performances; They are also the only Japanese group that had, enough popularity, in the US that they were called upon to play their recently.Working
This must be a real kick in the teeth.
She bailed. End of.

They have some trash metal songs like "Thunder Vengeance" which bassist Miho was inspired to write when she saw Slayer playing live.
Gotta love the 4 foot 9 , 700 lbs beast behind the drums
