2001 Buick LeSabre

The shock you took out was a Monroe replacement for the original air shocks. When tighting the top bushing you're not supposed to let the shaft spin, that's why it is flat to hold it why tightening the nut.
I'm a female attempting to do my own and your video is very helpful simple and straight to the point.
Apparently not the air ride shocks that came standard on the 2000-2005 Lesabres.
This video was perfect! My dad and I got my new shocks put on my 05 LeSabre! CHARLIE (my car) is road ready once more!! Thank you so much!!!!!!!
Thanks for posting.
Thanks My Guy
All the rear shocks I find on Napa and Oreily's doesn't come with the outer spring coil, so can you use the old one or whats up? Find a kit with coil?
check which brand of shock you are getting and the install of the washers and bolts. i have Gabriel shocks and the center tower mount washers are not installed the same way in this video he reversed them leaving little thread left for the center nut.
Where can I get the mounting clips ?
On the top washer, my original install had the washer turned up like a cup.
I liked the old way he pronounced Vehicle 😢
Bring it back please.
Did you not have to shut off tge compressor before removing the shock?
Hey, can I still use the kit on the description? My 2005 Lesabre has its stock Air shocks. And idk if it’ll just switch to standards easily. Any input helps, thanks!
Yes, it's a straight conversion.
is there a way to test my shocks to see if they are actually bad to know if it is the shocks or bad air lines?
Go too the back, push down a few times and if she jumps, you need new
Where do you buy those clips for the bottom bolts? Mine broke and I can't find them anywhere.... Do you know the part number or keywords to use when searching?
If you can't find them just use a nut, a top luck or a nylock would be just fine. If you are still looking, a spring nut (u) would be the word to search for, you will be able to track them down.
Oriellys has them in
Where do you get your replacement mounting clips?
+Jennifer C If you are unable to reuse the originals, we suggest purchasing the hardware locally as most local stores will carry the clips.
